This paper presents the design and implementation of a scalable asynchronous transfer mode switch. We fabricated a 10-Gb/s 4×2 switch large-scale integration (LSI) that uses a new distributed contention control technique that allows the switch LSI to be expanded. The developed contention control is executed in a distributed manner at each switch LSI, and the contention control time does not depend on the number of connected switch LSI's. To increase the LSI throughput and reduce the power consumption, we used 0.25-μm CMOS/SIMOX (separation by implanted oxygen) technology, which enables us to make 221 pseudo-emitter-coupled-logic I/O pins with 1.25-Gb/s throughput. In addition, power consumption of 7 W is achieved by operating the CMOS/SIMOX gates at -2.0 V. This consumption is 36% less than that of bulk CMOS gates (11 W) at the same speed at -2.5 V. Using these switch LSI's, an 8×8 switching multichip module with 80-Gb/s throughput was fabricated with a compact size  相似文献

Sensory scores of beef patties and emulsion-type sausages containing varying levels of lipids with various component fatty acids were investigated. Sensory scores of beef patties containing solid fat were relatively constant at every fat level examined. However, scores of beef patties containing liquid oil decreased with increasing level of added oil. In the case of sausages, on the other hand, sensory evaluation scores markedly decreased with increasing the level of solid fat, while no significant change was observed in panel scores when liquid oil was mixed into sausages. Even 10% level of added lipids satisfactorily gave preferable acceptability to beef patties and sausages.  相似文献

We present a local Dissemination of EPIC, a project which has been devised to support health and social primary care by an information system. One key point of the EPIC project was a standardization effort at European level, providing a standardized basis for the management system based on client needs for planning and manpower control. Whilst EPIC has been designed as a general community information system, the main EPIC applications focus is on the care of the elderly. Savona is a middle size Italian town with a high percentage of elderly people and has already had an experience of integration of health and social care within an Italian project. It has therefore been regarded as a suitable site for the dissemination of EPIC. The EPIC application solved some of the information problems which emerged during the validation of the previous Italian project, such as the definition of the requirements; the collection, processing and retrieval of the clinical/social data; the definition of responsibilities and relations of the operators.  相似文献

A cold storage system specialized in mobile high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnets (e.g. for magnetically levitated (maglev) vehicles) has been proposed. In this system, a cooling source is detachable and a HTS coil is capable of maintaining superconducting state with its heat capacity. This system allows a considerably lightweight HTS magnet.An apparatus was constructed to evaluate the possibility of using cold storage systems in maglev vehicles. The thermal characteristic of this apparatus was based on a magnet for previous maglev test vehicles [1]. The operational temperature range of the magnet was assumed from 20 K to 50 K. Some experiments indicated that heat conduction by residual gas was not negligible. Especially over 30 K, gas conduction took a large part of heat input. This phenomenon is attributable to reduction of cryopumping effect. However, activated carbon in the apparatus compensates cryopumping effect. A unique heat capacitor was also used to enhance the cold storage effect. Water ice was chosen as a heat capacitor because water ice has a higher heat capacity than metallic materials at cryogenic temperatures. A small amount of water ice also prolonged cryogenic temperature condition. These results indicate 1 day of cold storage is probable in a magnet for maglev vehicles.  相似文献

Fully packaged 2×2 and 4×4 semiconductor optical switch modules are successfully developed by integrating spotsize converters (SSCs) consisting of lateral tapers, thin-film cores, and ridges in InGaAlAs-InAlAs multiple quantum-well (MQW) directional coupler waveguide switches in the 1.55-μm wavelength region. Good reproducibility is obtained for the perfect coupling length of the directional coupler by appropriately designing the ridge width and gap of strip-loaded optical waveguides and by making use of the Cl2 reactive-ion-beam-etching and successive wet-etching. Since the switching time is sufficiently short (<70 ps, which is limited by the driver speed) for the 4×4 switch module, no bits are lost during a 10-Gb/s switching experiment at a wavelength of 1.55 μm  相似文献

The current work expresses considerations about some of the differences of the fused flux CIS-F10 obtained by means of fragmentation in water and with an air jet. The comparisons are established taking into account their respective granulometric distributions, shapes and grain densities, as well as the energy and the time spent in the process of obtaining each of these variants. Criteria for the physical process of flux fragmentation with an air jet and its influence over the aspects formerly mentioned are also included. The principal findings were that the process for obtaining the fused flux CIS-F10 granulated with an air jet consumes 37% less energy and 25% less time than the one performed with pouring water. The solidness grade of the spherical grains, granulated with air, (with pycnometric density 2.31 g/cm3), with a granulometric distribution more continuous than that of the granules in water, contributes to the increase of the apparent density (11%) of the flux and promotes the creation of artificial granulometric distributions, counteracting the rolling effect during welding.  相似文献

Design and fabrication of 4H-SiC(0001) lateral MOSFETs with a two-zone reduced surface field structure have been investigated. The dose dependencies of experimental breakdown voltage show good agreement with simulation. Through the optimization of implant dose, high-temperature (1700/spl deg/C) annealing after ion implantation, and reduction of channel length, a breakdown voltage of 1330 V and a low on-resistance of 67 m/spl Omega//spl middot/cm/sup 2/ have been obtained. The figure-of-merit (V/sub B//sup 2//R/sub on/) of the present device reaches 26 MW/cm/sup 2/, being the best performance among lateral MOSFETs reported. Thirty patients (median age of 32 years; range, 6-61) with hematologic disorders received unmanipulated peripheral blood stem cell transplants from HLA-matched or one-antigen-mismatched related donors following myeloablative therapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (7), acute myelogenous leukemia (6), chronic myelogenous leukemia (8), myelodysplastic syndrome (3), or other disorders (6). Granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) mobilized peripheral blood stem cells were collected from donors in 1 to 3 aphereses. The apheresis products contained mean counts of 11.3 x 10(8) (range, 3.8-17.2) nucleated cells/kg and 6.7 x 10(6) (range, 1.3-16.7) CD34+ cells/kg. Graft-versus-host-disease (GVHD) prophylaxis consisted of cyclosporin A plus methotrexate, or FK506 plus methotrexate. All patients received G-CSF following their transplant. Although 1 patient died of pneumonia 6 days after transplantation, the others demonstrated rapid engraftment. Median days to recovery to 500/microliter neutrophils and 20,000/microliter platelets were 13 (range, 8-21) and 14 (range, 1-23) days, respectively. The incidence of acute GVHD grade II-IV was 33%; chronic GVHD developed in 57% of the assessable patients. There were no episodes of graft failure or rejection. Nineteen patients (63%) were alive and in complete remission from 147 to 839 days following their transplant (median follow-up of 560 days). Further follow-up study will be required to assess the incidence of chronic GVHD and graft-versus-leukemia (GVL) effects.  相似文献
