In this paper we present a high throughput testing setup for organic solar cells that is necessary for an efficient analysis of their behaviour. The setup comprises process parameter logging, automated measurement data acquisition and subsequent data management and analysis. Utilising this setup the reproducibility of solar cells and the effect of production parameter variations has been tested with a set of 360 solar cells based on the poly‐3‐hexylthiophene:1‐(3‐methoxycarbonyl)‐propyl‐1‐1‐phenyl‐(6,6)C61 bulk heterojunction. Variations in power conversion efficiency between 1 and 3% were observed on varying production parameters hardly mentioned in literature. The conditions during the vacuum deposition of the aluminium cathode turned out to have a significant effect. The key solar cell parameter affecting the performance was the fill factor (FF). As such the work exemplifies the necessity for a combined approach to analyse the complex behaviour of organic solar cells. The developed high throughput testing setup provides a basis for an efficient testing of production parameter variations and materials and additionally opens the door for statistical analysis. The leap‐frog (LF) configuration is an important structure in analogue filter design. Voltage‐mode LF OTA‐C filters have recently been studied in the literature; however, general explicit formulas do not exist for current‐mode LF OTA‐C filters and there is also need for current‐mode LF‐based OTA‐C structures for realization of arbitrary transmission zeros. Three current‐mode OTA‐C structures are presented, including the basic LF structure and LF filters with an input distributor or an output summer. They can realize all‐pole characteristics and functions with arbitrary transmission zeros. Explicit design formulas are derived directly from these structures for the synthesis of, respectively, all‐pole and arbitrary zero filter characteristics of up to the sixth order. The filter structures are regular and the design formulas are straightforward to use. As an illustrative example, a 300 MHz seventh‐order linear phase low‐pass filter with zeros is presented. The filter is implemented using a fully differential linear operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) based on a source degeneration topology. Simulations in a standard TSMC 0.18µm CMOS process with 2.5 V power supply have shown that the cutoff frequency of the filter ranges from 260 to 320 MHz, group delay ripple is about 4.5% over the whole tuning range, noise of the filter is 420nA/√Hz, dynamic range is 66 dB and power consumption is 200 mW. Extraction and GC/MS analysis of the human blood plasma metabolome   总被引:14,自引:0,他引:14  
Analysis of the entire set of low molecular weight compounds (LMC), the metabolome, could provide deeper insights into mechanisms of disease and novel markers for diagnosis. In the investigation, we developed an extraction and derivatization protocol, using experimental design theory (design of experiment), for analyzing the human blood plasma metabolome by GC/MS. The protocol was optimized by evaluating the data for more than 500 resolved peaks using multivariate statistical tools including principal component analysis and partial least-squares projections to latent structures (PLS). The performance of five organic solvents (methanol, ethanol, acetonitrile, acetone, chloroform), singly and in combination, was investigated to optimize the LMC extraction. PLS analysis demonstrated that methanol extraction was particularly efficient and highly reproducible. The extraction and derivatization conditions were also optimized. Quantitative data for 32 endogenous compounds showed good precision and linearity. In addition, the determined amounts of eight selected compounds agreed well with analyses by independent methods in accredited laboratories, and most of the compounds could be detected at absolute levels of approximately 0.1 pmol injected, corresponding to plasma concentrations between 0.1 and 1 microM. The results suggest that the method could be usefully integrated into metabolomic studies for various purposes, e.g., for identifying biological markers related to diseases.  相似文献

For investigating the molecular physiology and pathophysiology in organs, the most exact data should be obtained; if not, organ-specific cell lines are analyzed, or the whole organ is homogenized, followed by the analysis of its biomolecules. However, if the morphological organization of the organ can be addressed, then, in the best case, the composition of molecules in single cells of the target organ can be analyzed. Laser capture microdissection (LCM) is a technique which enables the selection of specific cells of a tissue for further analysis of their molecules. However, LCM is a time-consuming two-dimensional technique, and optimal results are only obtained if the tissue is fixed, e.g., by formalin. Especially for proteome analysis, formalin fixation reduced the number of identifiable proteins, and this is an additional drawback. Recently, it was demonstrated that sampling of fresh-frozen (non-fixed) tissue with an infrared-laser is giving higher yields with respect to the absolute protein amount and number of identifiable proteins than conventional mechanical homogenization of tissues. In this study, the applicability of the infrared laser tissue sampling for the proteome analysis of different cell layers of murine intestine was investigated, using LC–MS/MS-based differential quantitative bottom-up proteomics. By laser ablation, eight consecutive layers of colon tissue were obtained and analyzed. However, a clear distinguishability of protein profiles between ascending, descending, and transversal colon was made, and we identified the different intestinal-cell-layer proteins, which are cell-specific, as confirmed by data from the Human Protein Atlas. Thus, for the first time, sampling directly from intact fresh-frozen tissue with three-dimensional resolution is giving access to the different proteomes of different cell layers of colon tissue.  相似文献

For laser-based powder bed fusion (PBF-LB) of high carbon steels, preheated build platforms can reduce thermal stresses and crack formation inside the generated material. Furthermore, the heat distribution during PBF-LB is affected by laser energy input and heat transfer into the surrounding area. Depending on the preheating temperature and the thermal conditions during PBF-LB, thermal gradients and different thermal exposure times of the manufactured layers can lead to in situ heat treatment effects. As a result, gradients in microstructures and properties are observed in the manufactured material. The effects are investigated on AISI M2 high-speed steel (1.3343). Specimens are manufactured at platform preheating temperatures between 200 and 700 °C. Base plate and surface temperatures in the building layer are monitored by thermocouples and pyrometry. Local variations in the material microstructure and properties are determined and the effects of temperature distribution on microstructure and hardness are discussed.  相似文献

Additive manufacturing technologies, particularly electron beam powder bed fusion (PBF-EB/M), are becoming increasingly important for the processing of intermetallic titanium aluminides. This study presents the effects of hot isostatic pressing (HIP) and subsequent two-step heat treatments on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the TNM-B1 alloy (Ti–43.5Al–4Nb–1Mo–0.1B) fabricated via PBF-EB/M. Adequate solution heat treatment temperatures allow the adjustment of fully lamellar (FL) and nearly lamellar (NL-β) microstructures. The specimens are characterized by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray computed tomography (CT), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD). The mechanical properties at ambient temperatures are evaluated via tensile testing and subsequent fractography. While lack-of-fusion defects are the main causes of failure in the as-built condition, the mechanical properties in the heat-treated conditions are predominantly controlled by the microstructure. The highest ultimate tensile strength is achieved after HIP due to the elimination of lack-of-fusion defects. The results reveal challenges originating from the PBF-EB/M process, for example, local variations in chemical composition due to aluminum evaporation, which in turn affect the microstructures after heat treatment. For designing suitable heat treatment strategies, particular attention should therefore be paid to the microstructural characteristics associated with additive manufacturing.  相似文献

Chemical energy carriers produced according to power-to-X concepts will play a crucial role in the future energy system. Here, CO2 methanation is described as one promising route. However, transient operating conditions and the resulting effects on catalyst stability are to be considered. In this contribution, a tap reactor for spatially and temporally resolved analysis of the methanation reaction is presented. The Ni catalyst investigated was implemented as coating. Reaction data as a function of time and reactor coordinate under various operating conditions are presented and discussed. A comparison with simulation data validates the presented tap reactor concept.  相似文献
