In this study, the boron removal performance of a hybrid system composed of ground ion exchange resin particles coupled with a microfiltration separation unit was investigated. A non-equilibrium sorption modeling approach was introduced so as to understand the contributions of mass transfer resistances on the effluent stream concentration profiles, as well as on the resin loading scheme of this sorption-microfiltration hybrid system. This modeling approach allowed us to suggest new system operations and/or scale-up processes of sorption-microfiltration hybrid systems. In this study, the highly porous crosslinked boron selective chelating resins Diaion CRB02 and Dowex XUS 43594.00 containing N-methyl-glucamine group were used. Geothermal water that has high levels of boron was fed into the stirred cell element of the microfiltration system. Kinetic behaviour of boron selective resins for boron removal from geothermal water by the microfiltration system was evaluated to investigate the effects of resin particle size, resin concentration, and permeate flow rate.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of novel magnesium porphyrazine, peripherally symmetrically derived from 1,3-alternate 26,28-[35,36-dicyano-34,37-dithia-29,32,40,43-tetraoxa-35-en]calix[4]arene-crown-5, were carried out. This compound was prepared starting from cis-1,2-dicyano-1,2-ethylenedithiolate and 1,3-alternate 26,28-bis(5′-chloro-3′-oxapentyloxy)calix[4]arene-crown-5. The new macrocycle was characterized using the techniques of UV–vis, 1H, 13C NMR, IR, MS and elemental analysis.  相似文献

Quality changes of anchovy patties at the storage temperature of 4 °C were investigated. After patties had been prepared using minced anchovy meat they were stored in a refrigerator. Quality control analyses were conducted for every day of storage. Total volatile basic nitrogen and thiobarbutiric acid values increased, and acidity and sensory scores decreased during the storage. The peroxide value significantly increased until the fifth day of storage then decreased on days 5 and 6 of storage. Anchovy patties were consumable up to 6 days.  相似文献

In this study an extreme pressure and anti-corrosion additive package for gear oils has been created. In this context three different organic molecules were synthesized. Methylene-bis (dibutyldithiocarbamate), Sulfured oleic acid and o,o-Dialkyldithio Phosphate. Mass spectrums and Elemental analyses were carried out for these three molecules. For each molecule 4-ball weld points (WP), 4-ball Wear Scar Diameter (WSD), Copper corrosion (CC) and salt spray tests (SS) were carried out. Antioxidant properties of synthesized molecules were determined. According to the test results eight different additive packages were prepared and WP, WSD, CC and SS tests were applied to each package to determine a suitable package content. The highest yield was obtained in the five and six additive package with 250, 300 kg weld point and 0.41, 0.53 mm scar diameter respectively. For all additive packages the extreme pressure and corrosion resistance properties of gear oil increase by increasing the percentage of Methylene-bis (dibutyldithiocarbamate). o,o-Dialkyldithio Phosphate showed the highest antioxidant activity and it has been obtained bets corrosion protection with Sulfured oleic acid.  相似文献

The body-wall-outgrowth response of the rotiferAsplanchna sieboldi to tocopherol has been developed into a new bioassay which can estimate tocopherol titres more than 106 times more dilute than the detection limits of previously reported bioassays, and which is more sensitive and permits greaters qualitative discrimination than any fluorometric assay. this rotifer bioassay may prove especially useful in determining biological activities of tocopherol compounds and in estimating total tocopherol activity in biological material of very limited size or tocopherol content. It may also be used to analyze and describe the effects of environmental, genetic, and pharmacological factors on the body-wall-out-growth responses ofAsplanchna to given doses of tocopherol in terms of regression equations or equivalent changes in inducing tocopherol concentrations. α‐Tocopherol (α‐TC) and α‐TC/cyclodextrin (CD)–inclusion complex (IC) incorporated electrospun poly(lactic acid) (PLA) nanofibers (NF) were developed via electrospinning (PLA/α‐TC–NF and PLA/α‐TC/γ‐CD–IC–NF). The release of α‐TC into 95% ethanol (fatty food simulant) was much greater from PLA/α‐TC/γ‐CD–IC–NF than from PLA/α‐TC–NF because of the solubility increase in α‐TC; this was confirmed by a phase‐solubility diagram. 2,2‐Diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl radical‐scavenging assay shows that PLA/α‐TC–NF and PLA/α‐TC/γ‐CD–IC–NF had 97% antioxidant activities; this value was expected to be high enough to inhibit lipid oxidation. PLA/α‐TC–NF and PLA/α‐TC/γ‐CD–IC–NF were tested directly on beef with the thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) method, and the nanofibers displayed a lower TBARS content than the unpackaged meat sample. Thus, active packaging significantly enhanced the oxidative stability of the meat samples at 4 °C. In conclusion, PLA/α‐TC/γ‐CD–IC–NF was shown to be promising as an active food‐packaging material for prolonging the shelf life of foods. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. Polypropylene fibers and polyethylene hollow fibers were used as trunk polymers and were irradiated by electron beams with a dose of 200 kGy under N2 atmosphere. Grafting of acrylonitrile to those irradiated fibers was carried out at 40°C for different periods of time. The degree of grafting was determined as a function of time. The fibrous adsorbents containing amidoxime groups were prepared by the reaction of acrylonitrile-grafted polymers with 3% hydroxylamine in a methanol–water mixture (1 : 1). Distribution of copper ions complexed with amidoxime groups at various adsorption times was obtained by electron-probe X-ray microanalysis. The amidoxime groups are homogeneously distributed in the cross section of fibrous adsorbents. The fibrous adsorbents based upon polypropylene fiber of 40 μm showed a remarkable kinetic behavior for Cu2+. Even after 15 min, the adsorption capacity was 2.32 mmol Cu2+ per gram of fiber. Also, the functionalization with hydroxylamine was carried out at different conditions to compare the adsorption characteristics of the resultant adsorbents. Despite having superficially different properties (elemental microanalysis, ion-exchange capacities, adsorption capacity for UO), the polypropylene-based fibrous adsorbents showed similar adsorption properties for uranium from sea water. The adsorption tests proved the performance of the polypropylene-based fibrous adsorbents as a promising material for uranium recovery from sea water. In addition, uranium uptake of fibrous adsorbents increased in proportion to the volume of sea water. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

A number of lightly cross-linked poly(acrylonitrile-co-divinylbenzene) beads (RN-5) have been synthesized by suspension polymerization. The use of solvating diluents such as chloroform, dichloroethane, and tetrachloroethane resulted in copolymer beads having highly porous structures. The chelating resins containing amidoxime as a functional group (RNH-5) have been prepared by the reaction of copolymer beads with 3% hydroxylamine in methanol. A detailed analysis is made of the pore structure of lightly cross-linked copolymers of acrylonitrile–divinylbenzene and their amidoxime derivatives in the anhydrous state including pore-size distribution, specific surface area, and pore structure in the aqueous media by means of gel permeation chromatography (GPC). A set of experiments have been performed to ascertain the potential of the resins for the adsorption of uranium from seawater. Because of their modified pore structures, the chelating resins exhibited a marked adsorption rate for uranium in seawater as high as 23 μg of U/cm3 of resin/day without alkaline treatment.  相似文献

Poly(acrylamide‐allyl glycidyl ether) [poly(AAm‐AGE)] cryogel was prepared by bulk polymerization which proceeds in an aqueous solution of monomers frozen inside a glass column (cryo‐polymerization). After thawing, the monolithic cryogel contains a continuous polymeric matrix having interconnected pores of 10–100 μm size. Cibacron Blue F3GA was immobilized by covalent binding onto poly(AAm‐AGE) cryogel via epoxy groups. Poly(AAm‐AGE) cryogel was characterized by swelling studies, FTIR, scanning electron microscopy, and elemental analysis. The equilibrium swelling degree of the poly(AAm‐AGE) monolithic cryogel was 6.84 g H2O/g cryogel. Poly(AAm‐AGE) cryogel containing 68.9 μmol Cibacron Blue F3GA/g was used in the adsorption/desorption of human serum albumin (HSA) from aqueous solutions and human plasma. The nonspecific adsorption of HSA was very low (0.2 mg/g). The maximum amount of HSA adsorption from aqueous solution in acetate buffer was 27 mg/g at pH 5.0. Higher HSA adsorption value was obtained from human plasma (up to 74.2 mg/g). Desorption of HSA with a purity of 92% from Cibacron Blue F3GA attached poly(AAm‐AGE) cryogel was achieved using 0.1M Tris/HCl buffer containing 0.5M NaCl. It was observed that HSA could be repeatedly adsorbed and desorbed with poly(AAm‐AGE) cryogel without significant loss in the adsorption capacity. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
