The characterization of the typical fly ashes from pressurized fluidized bed combustion system (PFBC) in Japan and Europe was carried out by electron microscopy and phase analysis using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). The purity of limestone as in-bed sulfur removal sorbent influences the desulfurization reaction. The high-purity limestone yielded both hydroxyl ellestadite and anhydrite in Japanese PFBC ashes, while dolomite-rich limestone yielded anhydrite in European PFBC ashes. When the high-purity limestone was used, hydroxyl ellestadite particles were observed as the independent particles or the rim around limestone particles. The Al2O3 content in the glassy phase was inversely proportional to the CaO content in the glassy phase, suggesting that the glassy phases were formed from metakaoline and calcite as end members. Since hydroxyl ellestadite, glassy phase and metakaoline are reactive under hydrothermal conditions, PFBC ashes are expected to be used as raw materials for autoclaved products. 相似文献

Laser beam welding is an attractive welding process for age-hardened aluminum alloys, because its low heat input minimizes
the width of weld fusion and heat-affected zones (HAZs). In the present work, 1-mm-thick age-hardened Al-Mg-Si alloy, 6061-T6,
plates were welded with full penetration using a 2.5-kW CO2 laser. Fractions of porosity in the fusion zones were less than 0.05 pct in bead-on-plate welding and less than 0.2 pct in
butt welding with polishing the groove surface before welding. The width of a softened region in the-laser beam welds was
less than 1/4 times that of a tungsten inert gas (TIG) weld. The softened region is caused by reversion of strengthening β″
(Mg2Si) precipitates due to weld heat input. The hardness values of the softened region in the laser beam welds were almost fully
recovered to that of the base metal after an artificial aging treatment at 448 K for 28.8 ks without solution annealing, whereas
those in the TIG weld were not recovered in a partly reverted region. Both the bead-on-plate weld and the butt weld after

Conductive aluminum-doped zinc oxide (AZO) was deposited by pulsed laser deposition as top electrodes for chemical solution deposition derived lanthanum modified lead zirconate titanate (PLZT) capacitors. Compared with PLZT capacitors with Pt top electrodes (Pt/PLZT/Pt), PLZT capacitors with AZO as top electrodes (AZO/PLZT/Pt) showed improved fatigue endurance after cycles of 200 kV/cm (10 V) were applied with a 100 μs pulse width at 1 ms intervals. By using a combination of AZO as the top electrode and as a thin buffer layer (10 nm) under PLZT thin films (AZO/PLZT/AZO/Pt), fatigue behavior was also improved compared with the case without an AZO buffer layer. The addition of either an Al2O3 or HfO2 encapsulation layer increased the remnant polarization ratio of PLZT capacitors (after annealing at 200 °C, 1 Torr, 3 % hydrogen atmosphere) to 0.80 and 0.57, respectively, comparing with 0.52 without an encapsulation layer. 相似文献

Lithium manganese oxide (LiMn2O4) has been synthesized by a spray pyrolysis method from the precursor solution; LiNO3 and Mn(NO3)2·6H2O were stoichiometrically dissolved into distilled water. The synthesized LiMn2O4 particles exhibited a pure cubic spinel structure in the X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns, however they were spherical hollow spheres for various concentrations of precursor solution. Thus, the as-prepared LiMn2O4 particles were then ground in a mortar and dispersed into distilled water. To make a well dispersed slurry solution, a dispersion agent was also added into the slurry solution. The LiMn2O4 microparticles with a spherical nanostructure were finally prepared by a spray drying method from the slurry solution. The tap density of the LiMn2O4 microparticle prepared by a combination of spray pyrolysis and drying method was larger than that by a conventional spray pyrolysis method.The as-prepared samples were sintered at 750 °C for 1 h in air and used as cathode active materials for lithium batteries. Test experiments in the electrochemical cell Li|1 M LiClO4 in EC:DEC = 1:1|LiMn2O4 demonstrate that the sample prepared by the present method is a promising cathode active material for 4 V lithium-ion batteries at high-charge-discharge and elevated temperature operation. Multilayers of aluminium-doped zinc oxide (Al:ZnO) as a heat-reflection material were prepared by a reactive sputtering method with intermittent Al doping or Al content modulation. A drop in the refractive indices n around the plasma wavelength λp of 1456 nm for the optimally-doped Al:ZnO layers formed the periodic distribution of n in the multilayers. The periodic n provided selective reflection of approximately 60% under λp and shielded near-infrared solar radiation containing high energy, which was impossible to be reflected from the Al:ZnO monolayer. The selective reflection was accompanied by infrared reflection above λp, low emissivity and no subsequent visible reflection, which allowed the multilayers to achieve compatibility between the solar heat gain coefficient of 0.6 and the visible transmittance of nearly 80%. 相似文献

Eviprostat is a popular phytotherapeutic agent for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). At present, the signaling mechanisms underlying its therapeutic effects are still poorly understood. Given that cAMP has been reported to suppress cell hyperplasia and hypertrophy in various pathological situations, we asked whether the effect of Eviprostat could be ascribed to the activation of the cAMP signaling pathway. In the study, exposure of cAMP response element (CRE)-secreted alkaline phosphatase (SEAP) (CRE-SEAP)-reporter cells to Eviprostat elevated SEAP secretion, which was associated with an increased phosphorylation of vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein (VASP) and cAMP-response element-binding protein (CREB), as well as enhanced expression of CRE-regulated protein connexin43, indicating an activation of the cAMP signaling pathway. Consistent with these observations, Eviprostat-induced expression of Cx43 was abolished in the presence of adenylyl cyclase inhibitor SQ22536 or PKA inhibitor H89, whereas it was mimicked by adenylyl cyclase activator, forskolin. Further analysis demonstrated that Eviprostat significantly potentiated the effect of phosphodiesterase 3 (PDE3) inhibitor, but not that of PDE4 inhibitor, on CRE activation. Moreover, Eviprostat suppressed PDGF-induced activation of ERK and Akt and inhibited cell proliferation and hillock formation in both mesangial cells and bladder smooth muscle cells. Collectively, activation of the cAMP signaling pathway could be an important mechanism by which Eviprostat exerts its therapeutic effects for LUTS. 相似文献

The effect of high-pressure torsion (HPT) processing on the microstructure and mechanical biocompatibility includes Young's modulus, tensile strength, ductility, fatigue life, fretting fatigue, wear properties and other functionalities such as super elasticity and shape memory effect, etc. at levels suitable for structural biomaterials used in implants that replace hard tissue in the broad sense (Sumitomo et al., 2008 [4]). In particular, in this study, the mechanical biocompatibility implies a combination of great hardness and high strength with an adequate ductility while keeping low Young's modulus of a novel Ti–29Nb–13Ta–4.6Zr (TNTZ) for biomedical applications at rotation numbers (N) ranging from 1 to 60 under a pressure of 1.25 GPa at room temperature was systematically investigated in order to increase its mechanical strength with maintaining low Young's modulus and an adequate ductility.TNTZ subjected to HPT processing (TNTZHPT) at low N exhibits a heterogeneous microstructure in micro-scale and nano-scale consisting of a matrix and a non-etched band, which has nanosized equiaxed and elongated single β grains, along its cross section. The grains exhibit high dislocation densities, consequently non-equilibrium grain boundaries, and non-uniform subgrains distorted by severe deformation. At high N which is N > 20, TNTZHPT has a more homogeneous microstructure in nano-scale with increasing equivalent strain, εeq. Therefore, TNTZHPT at high N exhibits a more homogenous hardness distribution. The tensile strength and 0.2% proof stress of TNTZHPT increase significantly with N over the range of 0 ≤ N ≤ 5, and then become saturated at around 1100 MPa and 800 MPa at N ≥ 10. However, the ductility of TNTZHPT shows a reverse trend and a low-level elongation, at around 7%. And, Young's modulus of TNTZHPT decreases slightly to 60 GPa with increasing N and then becomes saturated at N ≥ 10. These obtained results confirm that the mechanical strength of TNTZ can be improved while maintaining a low Young's modulus in single β grain structures through severe plastic deformation. 相似文献
