Properties of pure metals can be enhanced by alloying with other metallic or non-metallic elements according to the need. However, as multiple alloying elements in an alloy may lead to the formation of many intermetallic compounds with complex microstructures and poor mechanical properties, new types of metallic alloys called high entropy alloys with at least five elements with equimolar ratios were developed. In this study, FeNiAlCuCrTi x Nb y (x, y = 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5) alloys have been prepared using Ar arc melting technique. Microstructural studies using scanning electron microscope and XRD showed that Ti addition promoted secondary BCC2 phase whereas, Nb acted as FCC stabilizer. Samples with combined Nb and Ti addition showed FCC1 and FCC2 structure with Nb-rich FCC2 dendritic phase as dominant phase. Though, individual Nb and Ti additions have resulted in increased hardness, combined additions have resulted in highest hardness of 797 HV under 1 kg load. 相似文献

Modified polystyrene with Pt(IV)–azomethine (APS–Sch–Pt) was synthesized by means of condensation and demonstrated to be a promising enzyme support by studying the enzymatic properties of glucose oxidase enzyme (GOx) immobilized on it. The characteristics of the immobilized glucose oxidase (APS–Sch–Pt–GOx) enzyme showed two optimum pH values that were pH = 4.0 and pH = 7. The insertion of stable Pt(IV)–azomethine spacers between the polystyrene backbone and the immobilized GOx, (APS–Sch–Pt–GOx), increases the enzymes’ activity and improves their affinity towards the substrate even at pH = 4. The influence of temperature, reusability and storage capacity on the free and immobilized glucose oxidase enzyme was investigated. The storage stability of the immobilized glucose oxidase was shown to be eleven months in dry conditions at +4 °C. 相似文献

Under disease conditions sGC heme can be oxidized resulting in NO insensitivity. management is proposed. The mobility support capability is embedded in key components for the domain access network, namely,
the Paging Access Routers and the Mobility-support Anchor Servers (MASs). The MASs are organized in three layers; starting
from the top layer Superior-MASs, Middle-MASs and Inferior-MASs, respectively. The proposed scheme identified mobility support
functionality, includes intra-domain anchor specification, route optimization algorithm, intra/inter-anchor mobility support,

In-place nondestructive simulation evaluation of the remaining bending strength of wooden utility poles is vital to the continued and successful operation of the poles, viability of the electrical transmission and delivery system, and reduction of system disruption potential. A methodology for nondestructively assessing the strength of in-place wood utility poles was developed and is proposed in this paper. Because of the nonhomogeneous and anisotropic nature of wood and the variability of in-place utility poles, a deterministic approach does not seem feasible. The proposed method combines multiple variables to statistically predict the breaking strength, or modulus of rupture, of wood poles. The full-scale testing methodology was tested on real life poles. Results from in-field simulation tests were correlated to data from failure testing of the full-scale poles. The proposed static bending approach is quite accurate, utilizing a device that applies a horizontal force on an in-place utility pole and measures the resulting deflection. The slope of the force-deflection curve and the pole moment of inertia from a regression analysis correlate well to the breaking strength of the poles. Additionally, a method for measuring and adjusting for the tilt of the utility pole under test was determined. Full-scale field simulated testing and break testing data that provide significant insight into nondestructive wood pole testing are provided in this paper. Recommendations for increasing the validity of the proposed model with additional test data, together with implementation of additional relevant parameters, are made. 相似文献

Coating a cutting tool improves wear resistance and prolongs tool life. Coating performance strongly depends on the mechanical and chemical properties of the coating material. In a machining process, the type of selected coating depends on the cutting condition because of the properties of the applied coating material. In addition, many factors, such as coating thickness, composition ratio, sequences of layers in multilayer coatings, and the deposition method influence the performance of a coating. In this study, the mechanical properties of TiCN and TiCN/ZrN were investigated using a ball on disk test. The substrate material made from a carbide-based cutting tool was also developed in-house. The analysis performed shows that the performances of TiCN and TiCN/ZrN coatings were found to be comparable to that of the commercial TiN-coated carbide-based cutting tool. Both the in-house and commercial coated inserts had significantly lower coefficient of friction than uncoated inserts, and the friction coefficient of TiCN coatings was constantly slightly lower than that of TiN coatings. Moreover, the coefficient of friction of the in-house developed TiCN was slightly lower than that of commercial TiN coating. However, the coefficient of friction of the in-house developed uncoated carbide inserts was slightly higher than that of commercial uncoated carbide inserts. 相似文献

ABSTRACT The solid state 13C NMR and infrared spectra of Beypazan lignite were deconvoluied by the least squares curve fitting techniques to resolve the overlapping bands in the 0-220 ppm region of the 13C NMR spectra and in the 4000-2700 cm-1, 1860-900 cm-1 and 900-400 cm-1 regions of the infrared spectra to gain information about the structure of the lignite. Measurement of integral absorptivities of some of the functional groups present in the infrared spectra was attempted. Chemical constituents, total phenolic content, total oxidant status, total antioxidant status, lipid hydroperoxides, total free –SH levels, and antimicrobial activity of essential oil obtained from the Ferulago sandrasica (Umbelliferae) were investigated. The essential oil was obtained by hydrodistillation using a Clevenger-type apparatus. The chemical constituents were analyzed by gas chromatography‐mass spectrometry. The main components of the essential oil were ocimene (30.5%), carene-δ-3 (27.4%), and α-pinene (17.8). The objective of this study was to investigate how the various storage temperatures affected the physical properties, flow characteristics, microstructure, and glass transition temperature of spinach juice agglomerates. For this purpose, spray-dried spinach juice powders were processed to agglomerates by using a modified fluidized bed dryer (1.6 m/s airflow rate, 60°C drying air temperature, 20 min processing time, and with different binder solutions containing agents as maltodextrin, gum Arabic, and whey powder isolate). The analyses were carried out every month throughout 6 months while the spinach juice agglomerates were stored at temperatures of 4, 20, and 35°C. The results revealed that over the storage time, the moisture content and water activity values of the agglomerates were generally under 11% and 0.6, respectively. The color values generally showed a decreasing trend depending on the storage time. The solubility times of the samples stored at 4°C were longer than those of stored at other storage temperatures. The SJA-GA had the lowest HR and CI values and thus the best flowability properties during all storage times. There was no detectable change in the structures of SJA stored at 20°C according to the storage time. Throughout the storage time, it was discovered that the glass transition temperature of all spinach juice agglomerates was remarkably similar. Overall, the investigation revealed that storage at 35°C for 6 months might be suitable because it delivered the intended outcomes such as greater flowability and cohesiveness, and shorter wettability and solubility times. 相似文献
