Boron and phosphorus implants into germanium and silicon with energies from 20 to 320 keV and ion doses from 5/spl times/10/sup 13/ to 5/spl times/10/sup 16/ cm/sup -2/ were characterized using secondary ion mass spectrometry. The first four moments of all implants were calculated from the experimental data. Both the phosphorus and boron implants were found to be shallower in the germanium than in the silicon for the same implant parameters and high hole concentrations, as high as 2/spl times/10/sup 20/ cm/sup -3/, were detected by spreading resistance profiling immediately after boron implants without subsequent annealing. Channeling experiments using nuclear reaction analysis also indicated high substitutional fractions (/spl sim/19%) even in the highest dose case immediately after implant. A greater straggle (second moment) is, however, observed in the boron implants in the germanium than in the silicon despite having a shorter projected range in the germanium. Implant profiles predicted by Monte Carlo simulations and Lindhard-Scharff-Schiott theory were calculated to help clarify the implant behavior. Finally, the experimentally obtained moments were used to calculate Pearson distribution fits to the boron and phosphorus implants for rapid simulation of nonamorphizing doses over the entire energy range examined.  相似文献

This paper presents an application of a radial basis support vector machine (RB-SVM) to the recognition of the sleep spindles (SSs) in electroencephalographic (EEG) signal. The proposed system comprises of two stages. In the first stage, for feature extraction, a set of raw amplitude values, a set of discrete cosine transform (DCT) coefficients, a set of discrete wavelet transform (DWT) approximation coefficients and a set of adaptive autoregressive (AAR) parameters are calculated and extracted from signals separately as four different sets of feature vectors. Thus, four different feature vectors for the same data are comparatively examined. In the second stage, these features are then selected by a modified adaptive feature selection method based on sensitivity analysis, which mainly supports input dimension reduction via selecting the most significant feature elements. Then, the feature vectors are classified by a support vector machine (SVM) classifier, which is relatively new and powerful technique for solving supervised binary classification problems due to its generalization ability. Visual evaluation, by two electroencephalographers (EEGers), of 19 channel EEG records of six subjects showed that the best performance is obtained with an RB-SVM providing an average sensitivity of 97.7%, an average specificity of 97.4% and an average accuracy of 97.5%.  相似文献

Mass segmentation is used as the first step in many computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) systems for classification of breast masses as malignant or benign. The goal of this paper was to study the accuracy of an automated mass segmentation method developed in our laboratory, and to investigate the effect of the segmentation stage on the overall classification accuracy. The automated segmentation method was quantitatively compared with manual segmentation by two expert radiologists (R1 and R2) using three similarity or distance measures on a data set of 100 masses. The area overlap measures between R1 and R2, the computer and R1, and the computer and R2 were 0.76 +/- 0.13, 0.74 +/- 0.11, and 0.74 +/- 0.13, respectively. The interobserver difference in these measures between the two radiologists was compared with the corresponding differences between the computer and the radiologists. Using three similarity measures and data from two radiologists, a total of six statistical tests were performed. The difference between the computer and the radiologist segmentation was significantly larger than the interobserver variability in only one test. Two sets of texture, morphological, and spiculation features, one based on the computer segmentation, and the other based on radiologist segmentation, were extracted from a data set of 249 films from 102 patients. A classifier based on stepwise feature selection and linear discriminant analysis was trained and tested using the two feature sets. The leave-one-case-out method was used for data sampling. For case-based classification, the area Az under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was 0.89 and 0.88 for the feature sets based on the radiologist segmentation and computer segmentation, respectively. Air dried and ground opium poppy stalks suspended in water containing sodium carbonate catalysts have been completely converted into liquid fuels and water-solubles chemicals at 573 °K in a 0.1 liter autoclave. Extractives and oil properties obtained from stalks and poppy seed were studied. Major compenents of the oil were linoleic acid (60.2 %) and oleic acid (22.3 %). Poly((3‐Acrylamidopropyl)trimethylammonium chloride) (p(APTMACl)) cryogels were prepared with cryopolymerization technique and employed for the removal of toxic chromate and dichromate anions from aqueous media. The maximum adsorption capacities of 94 mg/g and 135 mg/g for chromate and dichromate anions, respectively, were determined with the application of the Langmuir isotherm. These values are very close to the experimental values of about 77 and 128 mg/g from 100 mL, 100 ppm chromate, and dichromate solutions using 0.03 g cryogel. The removal efficiency of chromate and dichromate anions were increased with the increase in the amount of cryogel and the removal percentage of chromate and dichromate toxic anions were estimated as 99.21 and 93.61%, respectively, for 0.15 g of p(APTMACl) cryogels used in 100 mL, 100 ppm chromate, and dichromate solutions. Furthermore, magnetic p(APTMACl) cryogels were also prepared and used in the removal of chromate and dichromate, and the maximum adsorption capacities were 30 mg/g and 40 mg/g, respectively. Additionally, the adsorption of these anions were investigated from different media such as drinking water, tap water, seawater, and creek water; and the maximum adsorption amounts in drinking water were 65.5 ± 15, and 125.5 ± 11 mg/g for chromate and dichromate anions, respectively. The reusability of p(APTMACl) cryogels for the removal of chromate and dichromate anions was also investigated, and it was found that the adsorption capacity for chromate anions decreased to 71.23 ± 4.3 from 97.37 ± 4.5 mg/g, whereas the adsorption capacity of dichromate anions only decreased to 123.69 ± 3.5 mg/g from 129.9 ± 7 mg/g at the end of five adsorption‐desorption cycles. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ABSTRACT

The solubility of the Tunçbilek lignite is increased up to 100% on daf basis, after molten alkali-benzhydrol treatment. Meanwhile its oxygen, sulphur and ash-content are decreased considerably. Similar results are also obtained by simple molten alkeli treatment of lignite, although the oxygen content was increased in the product, A reductive cleavege mechanism for the former but an oxydative cleavege mechanism for the latter process are suggested.  相似文献

In this study, hydrogels were synthesized from 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propansulfonic acid (AMPS) via a photo polymerization technique. Approximately 100 nm Ni metal nanoparticles were generated in situ inside these p(AMPS) hydrogel networks and used as a catalyst in hydrogen production by hydrolysis of sodium boron hydride in a basic medium. The effects of several parameters on the hydrolysis reaction such as the amount of catalyst, the initial concentration of NaBH4, and the temperature were investigated. The activation energy, activation enthalpy and activation of entropy for the reaction were calculated as 42.28 kJ mol−1, 39.59 kJ mol−1 and −171.67 J mol−1 K−1, respectively.  相似文献

In situ Co, Cu and Ni nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical reduction of the absorbed Co (II), Cu (II) and Ni (II) ions inside hydrogel networks prepared from 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propansulfonic acid (AMPS) and were used as a catalyst system in the generation of hydrogen in hydrolysis of ammonia borane (AB). Several parameters affecting the hydrolysis reaction such as the type of the metal, the amount of catalyst, the initial concentration of AB, and temperature, were investigated. The activation energy values in the hydrolysis reaction of AB solution in the presence p(AMPS)-Co, p(AMPS)-Cu and p(AMPS)-Ni catalyst systems were calculated as Ea = 47.7 kJ mol−1, 48.8 kJ mol−1 and 52.8 kJ mol−1, respectively. Thus, the catalytic activity of the metal nanoparticles prepared inside the same hydrogel matrix was found to be Ni < Cu < Co.  相似文献

We present mechanically strong macroporous, squeezable dextran cryogels as a column filling material for the removal and separation of binary organic dye and pesticide mixtures from aquatic medium. Dextran cryogels were prepared from aqueous solutions of dextran of various molecular weights (MWs) in the presence of 20 to 50 mol% divinyl sulfone (DVS) as a cross-linker at −18°C. The cryogels have interconnected irregular pores of 100 μm in sizes, and exhibit 69-84% reversible squeezability without damaging the 3D dextran network. Their total open pore volumes (6.3-10 mL g−1), weight swelling ratios in water (1380%-2200%), and mechanical parameters could easily be adjusted by both DVS mol% and MW of dextran. Dextran cryogel with the highest modulus (3.8 ± 0.5 MPa), compressive stress (8 ± 2 MPa) and plateau stress (0.46 ± 0.04 MPa) was obtained at 50 mol% DVS using dextran with a MW of 15 to 25 kg·mol−1. Dextran cryogels are hydrolysable at pH = 1 and 9 but stable at 7.4 independent on both the degree of cross-linking and MW of dextran. At below 50 mol% DVS, they are blood compatible and possess slight thrombogenic effect with blood clotting index value of 98% ± 5%. They are also capable to separate binary dye and pesticide mixtures from aqueous solutions via ionic interactions.  相似文献
