The growing demand of flexible electronic devices is increasing the requirements of their power sources. The effect of bending in thin-film batteries is still not well understood. Here, we successfully developed a high active area flexible all-solid-state battery as a model system that consists of thin-film layers of Li4Ti5O12, LiPON, and Lithium deposited on a novel flexible ceramic substrate. A systematic study on the bending state and performance of the battery is presented. The battery withstands bending radii of at least 14 mm achieving 70% of the theoretical capacity. Here, we reveal that convex bending has a positive effect on battery capacity showing an average increase of 5.5%, whereas concave bending decreases the capacity by 4% in contrast with recent studies. We show that the change in capacity upon bending may well be associated to the Li-ion diffusion kinetic change through the electrode when different external forces are applied. Finally, an encapsulation scheme is presented allowing sufficient bending of the device and operation for at least 500 cycles in air. The results are meant to improve the understanding of the phenomena present in thin-film batteries while undergoing bending rather than showing improvements in battery performance and lifetime.  相似文献

An Ar atmospheric treatment is rationally used to etch and activate hematite nanoflakes (NFs) as photoanodes toward enhanced photoelectrochemical water oxidation. The formation of a highly ordered hematite nanorods (NRs) array containing a high density of oxygen vacancy is successfully prepared through in situ reduction of NFs in Ar atmosphere. Furthermore, a hematite (104) plane and an iron suboxide layer at the absorber/back‐contact interface are formed. The material defects produced by a thermal oxidation method can be critical for the morphology transformation from 2D NFs to 1D NRs. The resulting hematite NR photoanodes show high efficiency toward solar water splitting with improved light harvesting capabilities, leading to an enhanced photoresponse due to the artificially formed oxygen vacancies.  相似文献

Summary The configurational analysis of racemic and optically active stereoisomers of 4-[(1-methylpropyl)oxycarbonyl]-2-oxetanone has been carried out by using chiral gas chromatography. This technique has been successful in the stereoisomers composition determination of these -substituted -lactones prepared by two different routes and used as monomers in the preparation of malic acid stereocopolymers. Result are in good agreement with those obtained from high resolution 1H NMR, in the presence of an Europium salt, as chiral shift reagent. This method has been extended to 3-methyl-4-[(1,2,2-trimethyl propyl)oxycarbonyl]-2-oxetanone. The exact knowledge of precursors configurational structure is very important in regard to the obtention of the corresponding polystereoisomers with a strictly controlled enantiomeric or diastereoisomeric composition and consequently with predictable properties.  相似文献

Abstract— In the past, a five‐mask LTPS CMOS process requiring only one single ion‐doping step was used. Based on that process, all necessary components for the realization of a fully integrated AMOLED display using a 3T1C current‐feedback pixel circuit has recently been developed. The integrated data driver is based on a newly developed LTPS operational amplifier, which does not require any compensation for Vth or mobility variations. Only one operational amplifier per column is used to perform digital‐to‐analog conversion as well as current control. In order to achieve high‐precision analog behavior, the operational amplifier is embedded in a switched capacitor network. In addition to circuit verification by simulation and analytic analysis, a 1‐in. fully integrated AMOLED demonstrator was successfully built. To the best of the authors' knowledge, this is the first implementation of a fully integrated AMOLED display with current feedback.  相似文献

The construction of a new generation of MEMS which includes micro-assembly steps in the current microfabrication process is a big challenge. It is necessary to develop new production means named micromanufacturing systems in order to perform these new assembly steps. The classical approach called “top-down” which consists in a functional analysis and a definition of the tasks sequences is insufficient for micromanufacturing systems. Indeed, the technical and physical constraints of the microworld (e.g. the adhesion phenomenon) must be taken into account in order to design reliable micromanufacturing systems. A new method of designing micromanufacturing systems is presented in this paper. Our approach combines the general “top-down” approach with a “bottom-up” approach which takes into account technical constraints. The method enables to build a modular architecture for micromanufacturing systems. In order to obtain this modular architecture, we have devised an original identification technique of modules and an association technique of modules. This work has been used to design the controller of an experimental robotic micro-assembly station.  相似文献

We introduce a physics-based model for 3D person tracking. Based on a biomechanical characterization of lower-body dynamics, the model captures important physical properties of bipedal locomotion such as balance and ground contact. The model generalizes naturally to variations in style due to changes in speed, step-length, and mass, and avoids common problems (such as footskate) that arise with existing trackers. The dynamics comprise a two degree-of-freedom representation of human locomotion with inelastic ground contact. A stochastic controller generates impulsive forces during the toe-off stage of walking, and spring-like forces between the legs. A higher-dimensional kinematic body model is conditioned on the underlying dynamics. The combined model is used to track walking people in video, including examples with turning, occlusion, and varying gait. We also report quantitative monocular and binocular tracking results with the HumanEva dataset.  相似文献

The Internet Protocol (IP) has been proven very flexible, being able to accommodate all kinds of link technologies and supporting a broad range of applications. The basic principles of the original Internet architecture include end-to-end addressing, global routeability and a single namespace of IP addresses that unintentionally serves both as locators and host identifiers. The commercial success and widespread use of the Internet have lead to new requirements, which include Internetworking over business boundaries, mobility and multi-homing in an untrusted environment. Our approach to satisfy these new requirements is to introduce a new Internetworking layer, the node identity layer. Such a layer runs on top of the different versions of IP, but could also run directly on top of other kinds of network technologies, such as MPLS and 2G/3G PDP contexts. This approach enables connectivity across different communication technologies, supports mobility, multi-homing, and security from ground up. This paper describes the Node Identity Architecture in detail and discusses the experiences from implementing and running a prototype.  相似文献

Unmanned ground vehicles tend to be more and more autonomous, but both complete teleoperation and full autonomy are not efficient enough to deal with all possible situations. To be efficient, the human–robot system must be able to anticipate, react and recover from errors of different kinds, i.e., to be resilient. From this observation, this paper proposes a survey on the resilience of a human–machine system and the means to control the resilience. The resilience of a system can be defined as the ability to maintain or recover a stable state when subject to disturbance. Adjustable autonomy and human–machine cooperation are considered as means of resilience for the system. This paper then proposes three indicators to assess different meanings of resilience of the system: foresight and avoidance of events, reaction to events and recovery from occurrence of events. The third of these metrics takes into consideration the concept of affordances that allows a common representation for the opportunities of action between the automated system and its environment.  相似文献
