This article presents a unique and compact coplanar waveguide (CPW) antenna that exhibits triband operation with circular polarization. The single antenna was designed to operate simultaneously in the following bands: WiMAX (3.3–3.6 GHz), wireless local area network (WLAN) (5.15–5.825 GHz), ITS (5.795–6.400 GHz), and ITU‐R (7.725–8.5 GHz). The realization of the triband antenna was achieved by using two semi fractal ring patches resembling the shape of a three leaf clover, and by introducing a pair of symmetrical L‐shaped slits in its ground plane. The antenna's physical parameters were investigated to fully understand their affect on the antenna's performance. The salient parameters obtained from this analysis enabled the optimization of the antenna's overall characteristics. The design concept was confirmed by fabricating the antenna prototype and measuring its characteristics. The proposed antenna has dimensions of 20 × 20 × 1 mm3. Measured results show the antenna exhibits circular polarization in WiMAX and ITU‐R bands, and linear polarization in the WLAN band. The antenna radiates omnidirectionally in the H‐plane, and approximately bidirectionally in the E‐plane. In addition, the antenna presents stable gain over the triband. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Filtering for Continuous‐Time Markovian Jump Systems with Deficient Mode Information 下载免费PDF全文
This paper investigates the problem of quantized filtering for a class of continuous‐time Markovian jump linear systems with deficient mode information. The measurement output of the plant is quantized by a mode‐dependent logarithmic quantizer, and the deficient mode information in the Markov stochastic process simultaneously considers the exactly known, partially unknown, and uncertain transition rates. By fully exploiting the properties of transition rate matrices, together with the convexification of uncertain domains, a new sufficient condition for quantized performance analysis is first derived, and then two approaches, namely, the convex linearization approach and iterative approach, to the filter synthesis are developed. It is shown that both the full‐order and reduced‐order filters can be obtained by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) or bilinear matrix inequalities (BMIs). Finally, two illustrative examples are given to show the effectiveness and less conservatism of the proposed design methods. 相似文献

In some of the complicated control problems we have to use the controllers that apply nonlocal operators to the error signal to generate the control. Currently, the most famous controller with nonlocal operators is the fractional-order PID (FOPID). Commonly, after tuning the parameters of FOPID controller, its transfer function is discretized (for realization purposes) using the so-called generating function. This discretization is the origin of some errors and unexpected results in feedback systems. It may even happen that the controller obtained by discretizing a FOPID controller works worse than a directly-tuned discrete-time classical PID controller. Moreover, FOPID controllers cannot directly be applied to the processes modeled by, e.g., the ARMA or ARMAX model. The aim of this paper is to propose a discrete-time version of the FOPID controller and discuss on its properties and applications. Similar to the FOPID controller, the proposed structure applies nonlocal operators (with adjustable memory length) to the error signal. Two methods for tuning the parameters of the proposed controller are developed and it is shown that the proposed controller has the capacity of solving complicated control problems. 相似文献

This paper is focused on the problem of adaptive sliding mode control design for uncertain neutral‐type stochastic systems under a prescribed H∞ performance. A simplified state observer is put forward to estimate the unknown state variables, which could be properly incorporated for establishing a new linear‐type switching surface and the associated adaptive variable structure controller. By virtue of the adaptive control design, unknown matched perturbation and potential uncertainties can be counteracted, and the system trajectories are guaranteed to reach the predefined switching surface within finite moment in almost surely sense, and performance analysis of the closed‐loop dynamics during the sliding surface is carried out with a specified H∞ performance. At last, two illustrative examples through computer simulations are provided to verify the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed scheme. 相似文献

A novel method based on model predictive control (MPC) is presented for synthesis and optimization of a wide band reflector antenna with cosecant squared and flat‐topped radiation patterns. The proposed system is a doubly curved reflector antenna with nonlinear dynamic equation. This article investigates design and optimization of a double ridged horn reflector antenna operating within the frequency range of 8 to 18 GHz. In order to synthesize the proposed reflector antenna, MPC is used to achieve the desired radiation cosecant pattern. This method utilizes system model and tries to find the best control effort for minimizing the cost function by predicting the future behavior. The system differential equation is comprised of first and second order derivatives, so MPC can be a good solution for synthesis of a doubly reflector antenna. MPC optimizer operates based on state space model, so the proposed system is linearized in the operating range. Maximum error, the average error and side lobe level of this method for the radiation pattern of the proposed wideband antenna respectively are 1.4, 0.9, and ?20 dB. Simulation results of the radiation pattern in CST and HFSS software show that the proposed reflector antenna can be used in broadband surveillance radar systems. 相似文献

This paper studies sensor fault detection using a game theoretic approach. Sensor fault detection is considered as change point analysis in the coefficients of a regression model. A new method for detecting faults, referred to as two-way fault detection, is introduced which defines a game between two players, i.e. the fault detectors. In this new strategic environment, assuming that the independent states of the regression model are known, the test statistics are derived and their finite sample distributions under the null hypothesis of no change are derived. These test statistics are useful for testing the fault existence, as well as, the pure and mixed Nash equilibriums are derived for at-most-one-change and epidemic change models. A differential game is also proposed and solved using the Pontryagin maximum principle. This solution is useful for studying the fault detection problem in unknown state cases. Kalman filter and linear matrix inequality methods are used in finding the Nash equilibrium for the case of unknown states. Illustrative examples are presented to show the existence of the Nash equilibriums. Also, the proposed fault detection scheme is numerically evaluated via its application on a practical system and its performance is compared with the cumulative sum method. 相似文献

A compact substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) with open complementary split‐ring resonators (OCSRRs) loaded on the waveguide surface is proposed. The OCSRRs can be interpreted in terms of electric dipoles and they are good candidates to behave as electric scatterers. By loading OCSRRs on the waveguide surface, a forward‐wave pass‐band propagating below the waveguide cutoff frequency is generated. The resonance frequency of the OCSRRs is approximately half of the resonance frequency of the complementary split ring resonator (CSRR). Therefore, the electrical size of this particle is larger than the CSRRs and the OCSRRs are more appropriate for the SIW miniaturization. A bandpass response with a sharp rejection frequency band is obtained by properly manipulating the structure of the elements. By changing the orientation of the OCSRRs, two types of unit cell are proposed. Moreover, by resizing the OCSRRs, resonance frequency can be easily moved and the bandwidth can be tuned by the coupling between two OCSRRs. Compared with some other reported bandpass filters (BPFs) with SIW technique, the presented BPF has great improvements on size reduction and selectivity. To verify the methodology, two filters with center frequency of 5.5 GHz are designed and measured. The measured results are in good agreement with the simulated ones. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
