Multiresolution learning paradigm and signal prediction

Current neural network learning processes, regardless of the learning algorithm and preprocessing used, are sometimes inadequate for difficult problems. We present a new learning concept and paradigm for neural networks, called multiresolution learning, based on multiresolution analysis in wavelet theory. The multiresolution learning paradigm can significantly improve the generalization performance of neural networks     

Rejection of narrowband interference in DS spread spectrum systemsemploying minimum redundant nonlinear filters

A new nonlinear filter structure, the minimum redundant nonlinear filter (MRNF), for combating narrowband interference in direct sequence spread spectrum systems is proposed. Analytical expressions for the signal-to-noise ratio improvement factors are derived under the condition of single tone interference. The results show that the MRNF provides significantly better performance than the minimum redundant transversal filter     

High-speed Modulation of InGaAs: Sb-GaAs-GaAsP quantum-well vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers with 1.27-/spl mu/m emission wavelength

1.27-/spl mu/m InGaAs: Sb-GaAs-GaAsP vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) were grown by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition and exhibited excellent performance and temperature stability. The threshold current changes from 1.8 to 1.1 mA and the slope efficiency falls less than /spl sim/35% as the temperature raised from room temperature to 70/spl deg/C. With a bias current of only 5 mA, the 3-dB modulation frequency response was measured to be 8.36 GHz, which is appropriate for 10-Gb/s operation. The maximal bandwidth is measured to be 10.7 GHz with modulation current efficiency factor (MCEF) of /spl sim/5.25 GHz/(mA)/sup 1/2/. These VCSELs also demonstrate high-speed modulation up to 10 Gb/s from 25/spl deg/C to 70/spl deg/C.     

连续运转的掺钛蓝宝石激光器

本文报导一种连续波氩离子激光泵浦的掺钛蓝宝石激光器。在氩离子激光功率(全谱线)为10.45瓦且仅用一组腔镜时,获得最大平均功率超过1000mW、调谐范围750～850nm的掺钛蓝宝石激光输出。     

Study on phase behavior–impact strength relationship of unsaturated polyester/polyurethane hybrid polymer network

The phase behavior of a hybrid polymer network (HPN) composed of poly[(propylene glycol maleate)-co-(propylene glycol phthalate)] crosslinked with styrene and polyester–urethane crosslinked with methylene-bis-ortho-chloroaniline was examined. The correlation between phase separation and impact strength of the HPNs is discussed. The composition of HPNs has an effect on their properties.     

Testing of the multi-application small light water reactor (MASLWR) passive safety systems

Experimental thermal hydraulic research has been conducted at Oregon State University for the purpose of assessing the performance of a new reactor design concept, the multi-application small light water reactor (MASLWR). The MASLWR is a pressurized light water reactor design with a net output of 35 MWe that uses natural circulation in both normal and transient operation. Due to its small size, portability and modularity, the MASLWR design is well suited to help fill the potential need for grid appropriate reactor designs for smaller electricity grids as may be found in developing or remote regions. The purpose of the OSU MASLWR test facility is to assess the operation of the MASLWR under normal full operating pressure and full temperature conditions and to assess the passive safety systems under transient conditions. The data generated by the testing program will be used to assess computer code calculations and to provide a better understanding of the thermal-hydraulic phenomena in the design of the MASLWR NSSS. During this testing program, four tests were conducted at the OSU MASLWR test facility. These tests included one design basis accident and one beyond design basis accident. During the performance of these tests, plant operations to include start up, normal operation and shut down evolutions were demonstrated successfully.     

利用热管纺丝技术一步法生产FCY

利用平板型热管纺丝装置对普通高速纺丝机进行技术改造，并一步法生产出充分结晶的ＰＥＴ纤维（ＦＣＹ）。该纤维可直接用于织造，调节热管温度、热管安装位置可获得满足后道工序不同需要的ＦＣＹ。     

激光焊接超细基胎体金刚石薄壁钻

采用激光焊接超细预合金粉胎体，开发了新的薄壁钻产品，通过对与现有的产品工艺、性能测试以及实际使用分析对比，结果表明：激光焊接与普通钎焊相比结合强度提高2－3倍，克服了胎体脱落问题，胎体耐磨性提高了50％－120％，其中轴向磨损速率提高1．2倍；钻削速度提高30．4％，工矿适应性增加，使用寿命提高25％－108％。     

AlSn20Cu/Steel双金属板(带)复合轧制过程的厚度匹配

通过对AlSn20Cu/Steel双金属板(带)复合轧制过程变形区变形规律的分析，确定了轧制过程的总变形率与各分层变形率的关系，解决了实际生产中各分层原料的厚度匹配问题。     

组合拱式管桥计算机模拟设计

本文在已有成果资料的基础上，为组合拱式管桥的设计建立了常规设计表达式，并研制出组合拱式管桥计算机模拟的程序软件ＣＡＰＢＤ。该软件具有以下计算功能：（１）计算组合管拱的几何特征参数；（２）计算组合管拱自重和组合拱式管桥的竖向荷载及其材料费用；（３）分析和计算各种载荷作用下组合拱式管桥的内力；（４）组合拱式管桥各控制截面强度校核、稳定性验算以及拱支墩稳定性验算和地基承载力强度校核。
