Abstract

The undersand variable gap–initiator test was applied to most Japanese blasting explosive cartridges and found useful as the sensitivity test for the cartridges. The recent Japanese watergel and emulsion explosives were shown to be more shock–sensitive than previous ones. The blast noise in the undersand explosion was shown to decrease when the depth of sand cover the cartridge was increased. For 100g of explosive, a sand layer 20cm deep was effective in reducing the blast noise, when the depth of the sand layer was increased, there was no additional effect. All blasting explosives excluding Kuro Carlit were not ignited by a small gas flame. A cartridge of 100g Kuro Carlit was ignited undersand but did not show the phenomenon of deflagration to detonation  相似文献

The orphan nuclear receptor steroidogenic factor 1 (NR5A1 (SF-1)) is expressed in both Sertoli and Leydig cells in the testes. This study investigates the postnatal development of the testes of a gonad-specific Nr5a1 knockout (KO) mouse, in which Nr5a1 was specifically inactivated. The KO testes appeared histologically normal from postnatal day 0 (P0) until P7. However, disorganized germ cells, vacuoles, and giant cells appeared by P14 in the seminiferous tubules of KO but not control mice. Expression of NR5A1 and various factors was examined by immunohistochemistry (IHC). The number of NR5A1-positive Sertoli cells in the KO testes was lower compared with controls at all the developmental stages and decreased to nearly undetectable levels by P21. IHC for anti-Müllerian hormone and p27, immature and mature Sertoli cell markers, respectively, indicated a delay in Sertoli cell maturation in the KO testes. The number of Sertoli cell-expressing factors involved in Sertoli cell differentiation including WT1, SOX9, GATA4, and androgen receptor were lower in the KO testes compared with controls. Furthermore, fewer proliferating cell nuclear antigen-positive proliferative germ cells were observed, and the number of TUNEL-labeled cells was significantly higher in the KO testes compared with controls at P14 and P21, indicating impaired spermatogenesis. IHC for CYP11A1 (SCC) indicated the presence of steroidogenic Leydig cells in the interstitium of the KO testes at all stages examined. These results suggest that NR5A1 is essential for Sertoli cell maturation and therefore spermatogenesis, during postnatal testis development.  相似文献

This paper aims to assess quantitatively the actual visual environment of uncontrolled urban downtown intersections in Japan in relation to frequently occurring crossing collisions and to discuss the safety countermeasures for them. In Field Study 1 dealing with direct visibility, our ultra-wide-angle photograph analysis revealed that most of the right/left-ward visible range at 11 intersections were insufficient to check safety, and the quality of direct visibility was closely associated with causing crossing collisions. The countermeasures to reduce a blind area were determined to be a top priority. In Field Study 2 dealing with indirect visibility, more than half of the 25 traffic convex mirrors had marked shortcomings for preventive safety, and ergonomics guidelines ensuring indirect visibility were proposed for installing traffic convex mirrors. Low-cost/low-technology-oriented countermeasures are highly recommended to obtain clear/sufficient images of crucial information satisfying drivers' requirements on traffic convex mirrors in accordance with those ergonomics guidelines was highly recommended. Crossing collisions could be prevented by improvement of poor direct and indirect visibility.  相似文献

This paper describes a background (BG) optimization method for a phase-locked loop (PLL) by changing the circuit parameters of the PLL circuits. Measuring the phase shift of the voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) at each input reference clock, we can determine the phase jitter performance with accuracy equal to a time interval analyzer (TIA). Using the combination of the global optimization method at initial stage and the local optimization method for the background calibration always gives the PLL the smallest jitter performance under process variation, supply voltage modulation, and temperature variation. The test environment fabricated by the 0.15-/spl mu/m CMOS controlled by an external FPGA demonstrates enough ability to suppress the impacts of the environmental variations.  相似文献

For the development of 45w%Pb-55w%Bi cooled direct contact boiling water small fast reactor (PBWFR), experimental study on Pb-Bi-water direct contact boiling two-phase flow has been performed using Pb-Bi-water direct contact boiling two-phase flow loop. For stable start-up of the boiling flow operation, Pb-Bi single-phase natural circulation must be realized in a Pb-Bi flow system of the loop before water injection into Pb-Bi. The Pb-Bi flow system consists of a four-heater-pin bundle, a chimney, an upper plenum, a level meter tank, a cooler, and an electromagnetic flow meter. A stable Pb-Bi single-phase natural circulation was realized in the range of flow rate from 1.5 l/min to 4.8 l/min by heating Pb-Bi in the heater-pin bundle with a power up to 7.7 kW. The inlet and outlet temperatures of the heater bundle were in the ranges from 243°C to 278°C, and from 251°C to 278°C, respectively. The natural circulation flow was simulated analytically using one-dimensional flow model including frictional, form and drag forces. Total hydraulic head through the loop were calculated from Pb-Bi densities at measured Pb-Bi temperatures in the loop. It was found that the calculated flow rate agreed well with the measured ones, which indicated the validity of the analytical models.  相似文献

Reprocessing of spent nuclear fuels generates high-level liquid waste (HLLW) which undergoes vitrification into borosilicate glass before final geological disposal. To ensure the quality of the glass, control of the concentration of chemical species such as molybdenum (Mo), which has an adverse impact on the vitrification process, is critical. Also, zirconium (Zr) can cause crud in washing process and Zr-93 is a long-lived fission product needed to be separated. In this study, a liquid–liquid countercurrent centrifugal contactor with Taylor–Couette flow (TC contactor) was applied to practical multi-species cases. Continuous separation of Mo and Zr from a simulated HLLW with bis(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (HDEHP) as extractant has been performed. Among a variety of metals in simulated HLLW, Mo, Zr, Y, and Fe are extractable, Mo and Zr were separated from HLLW by equilibrium, and Fe/Y separation was achieved by the effect of non-equilibrium state in TC contactor. Addition of tributyl phosphate could improve extraction of Mo. This study has expanded the scope of the TC contactor to multi-species separation processes.  相似文献

The purpose of the study was to investigate what kind of factors determine the degree of difficulty for chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes) when they imitate actions. Five adult chimpanzees were instructed to perform 48 arbitrary manipulatory actions consisting of different bodily motor patterns and object directionality. Results showed that actions in which an object is directed toward another external location (another object and one's own body) were easier to perform than those that involved manipulating a single object alone. Actions involving unfamiliar motor patterns were more difficult to perform than those involving familiar motor patterns that were already present in the subject's repertoire. Error responses were characterized as perseverative repetition of previously instructed actions. These findings suggest that chimpanzees find the directionality of manipulated objects a more salient cue than details of the demonstrator's body movements performing the manipulation. The Tokyo Electric Power Co. Inc. (TEPCO) and Toshiba developed an energy management system that was put into operation in December 1988. The authors review the background of developing the new system and the concept underlying the development, with the aim of improving reliability and enhancing capability. They describe the system configuration, configuration control of the distributed subsystems, and the application software. To enhance system function, two subsystems (one composed of two computers and another composed of a single computer) were planned to be installed in February 1990. One unit will analyze and access the voltage stability of the power system on a real-time basis.
