In this paper, a time-domain design procedure for fast-settling three-stage amplifiers is presented. In the proposed design approach, the amplifier is designed to settle within a specific time with a given settling accuracy and circuit noise budget by optimizing both the power consumption and silicon die area. Both linear and nonlinear settling regions of three-stage amplifiers are considered and optimal values of the amplifier stages transconductance and compensation capacitors are obtained using the genetic algorithm optimization. Detailed design equations are provided and circuit level simulation results using a 90 nm CMOS technology are presented to evaluate the usefulness of the proposed design scheme respected to the previously reported design approaches.  相似文献

Motivated by just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing, we study the bi-objective scheduling problem of minimizing the total weighted earliness and the number of tardy jobs on a single machine, in which machine idle time and preemption are allowed. The problem is known to be NP-hard. In this paper, we propose a new mathematical model, with nonlinear terms and integer variables which cannot be solved efficiently for medium- and large-sized problems. A method combining the new ranked-based roulette wheel selection algorithm with Pareto-based population ranking algorithm, named nondominated ranking genetic algorithm (NRGA), has been presented to find nondominated solutions in a reasonable time. Various operators and parameters of the proposed algorithm are reviewed to calibrate the algorithm by means of the Taguchi method. A number of numerical examples are solved to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The solutions obtained via NRGA are compared against solutions obtained via ε-constraint method in small-sized problems. Experimental results show that the proposed NRGA is competitive in terms of the quality and diversity of solutions in medium- and large-sized problems.  相似文献

Zinc nitride nanoneedles (ZNNs) with diameters at stem and tip parts as 200-300 nm and 30-70 nm respectively have been prepared by the nitridation of ball-milled zinc powders at 600 °C for 120 min under NH3 gas environment. The structural, compositional and morphological characterizations of the product were conducted by X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. From transmission spectrum data, an indirect band gap of 2.72 eV has been calculated for ZNNs whereas photoluminescence studies exhibited a strong UV excitonic mission band at 395 nm as well as two weak defect related blue emissions at 453 and 465 nm. A vapor-solid (VS) process based growth mechanism for the formation of ZNNs has also been discussed briefly.  相似文献

The effect of size of silicon carbide particles on the dry sliding wear properties of composites with three different sized SiC particles (19, 93, and 146 μm) has been studied. Wear behavior of Al6061/10 vol% SiC and Al6061/10 vol% SiC/5 vol% graphite composites processed by in situ powder metallurgy technique has been investigated using a pin-on-disk wear tester. The debris and wear surfaces of samples were identified using SEM. It was found that the porosity content and hardness of Al/10SiC composites decreased by 5 vol% graphite addition. The increased SiC particle size reduced the porosity, hardness, volume loss, and coefficient of friction of both types of composites. Moreover, the hybrid composites exhibited lower coefficient of friction and wear rates. The wear mechanism changed from mostly adhesive and micro-cutting in the Al/10SiC composite containing fine SiC particles to the prominently abrasive and delamination wear by increasing of SiC particle size. While the main wear mechanism for the unreinforced alloy was adhesive wear, all the hybrid composites were worn mainly by abrasion and delamination mechanisms.  相似文献

For meeting the energy demand, the development of new and novel thermoelectric (TE) materials for power generation is very vital. In this draft, we have theoretically investigated two new quaternary CoCuZrZ (Z = Ge and Sn) Heusler alloys for their structural, mechanical, electronic, and TE properties. In the energy minimization process, the alloys are found to be non-magnetic in the ground state. Based on calculated phonon dispersion curves, formation energy, and elastic constants, we propose that both CoCuZrGe and CoCuZrSn are stable. Furthermore, the mechanical properties indicate that CoCuZrGe (CoCuZrSn) has a brittle (ductile) nature. The electronic properties examined in Perdew-Burke-Ernzerhof (PBE), PBEsol, and modified Becke-Johnson (mBJ) potential, all predict that reported systems are narrow-gap semiconductors (SCs). In addition, the temperature dependent TE properties have been studied by calculating the electronic thermal conductivity (κ), Seebeck coefficient (S), power factor (PF) and electrical conductivity (σ/τ). The obtained positive value of S conveys the materials as p-type SCs, with a maximum value of 26.2 μV/K for CoCuZrGe and 28 μV/K for CoCuZrSn. The σ/τ, κ, and PF show increasing trends with rising temperature. The PF is found to be 1.55 × 1012 WK−2m−1s−1 for CoCuZrGe and 1.38 × 1012 WK−2m−1s−1 for CoCuZrSn. The proposed semiconducting Heusler alloys may receive attention for a range of TE and spintronic applications.  相似文献

To circumvent restrictions of conventional drilling methods, such as slow control actions and inability to drill depleted reservoirs, a drilling method called managed pressure drilling (MPD) has been developed. In MPD, single-phase flow processes can be modeled as a feedback interconnection of a high-order linear system and a low-order nonlinear system. These nonlinearities appear locally both inside and at the boundaries of the computational domain. To obtain a fast simulation platform for real-time purposes (eg, online model-based controller implementation), model order reduction is required for MPD. However, the local nonlinearities render applying model order reduction techniques challenging. In this study, a new approach is proposed to deal with such nonlinearities within the reduced basis (RB) context and it is successfully tested on a model for MPD. Contrary to the classical RB technique, the proposed approach not only does not generate nonphysical spikes at the locations of these local nonlinearities but also yields high speedup factors. The obtained reduced-order model can be used for efficient online simulation and controller design for drilling systems with MPD.  相似文献
