A 2.5-Gb/s CPFSK four-channel FDM transmission experiment has been conducted with a 150-km-long nondispersion-shifted fiber. This system employed a wideband channel space controller, a common polarization control, and a channel identification function. These were indispensable for realizing a high-capacity, coherent FDM trunk line system. The effect of fluorine doping on SiC/Si heterojunction bipolar transistors (HBTs) is studied. The film properties of the fluorine-doped SiC and device characteristics of an HBT using the SiC emitter and a 50-nm-thick, highly doped epitaxial base (1019/cm3) are presented. The current gain is improved from 15 to 80 by doping with fluorine. The current gain is four times larger than that of a conventional poly-Si emitter homo-transistor with the same base structure. In spite of the very thin base, the Early voltage is over 100 V. Forward-bias tunneling current was hardly seen at the emitter-base junction. The fluorine appears to terminate the dangling bonds. The results show the possibility of fabricating transistors with a very thin, highly doped base  相似文献

High receiver sensitivity (?51.9 dBm) and long span (243 km) transmission expriments have been achieved with a 140 Mbit/s optical FSK heterodyne single-filter detection system, using a phase-tunable DFB laser diode as a transmitter. This has enabled direct FSK modulation without waveform distortion. Also, a 280 Mbit/s 204 km transmission experiment has been carried out successfully.  相似文献

The determination of the kokumi peptide, γ-glutamyl-valyl-glycine (γ-Glu-Val-Gly) in raw scallop and processed scallop products was carried out using high pressure liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS). The detection of γ-Glu-Val-Gly was achieved using a multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) method. The optimised condition enabled the precise determination of γ-Glu-Val-Gly. Raw scallop contained 0.08 μg/g γ-Glu-Val-Gly, and the γ-Glu-Val-Gly levels in processed scallop products, such as dried-scallop and scallop extract, were measured to be 0.64 and 0.77 μg/g, respectively. This is the first report to confirm the existence of γ-Glu-Val-Gly in foodstuff.  相似文献

Cystoseira hakodatensis is an unutilised brown algae belonging to family Sargassaceae. A crude methanol extract from the algae showed inhibitory effects on the growths of Bacillus cereus and Bacillus licheniformis. To isolate the major antimicrobial agent, a sequential active‐guided isolation procedure was applied: liquid–liquid extraction, column chromatography and bio‐autography. A marked antimicrobial agent (active α) was isolated in hydrophobic fraction and was determined to phenolics without carbohydrates and proteins by phytochemical test. Regarding the antimicrobial potential, the isolated active α showed better inhibitory effects against B. cereus and B. licheniformis at 2 and 4 times of lower concentrations (62.5 and 31.3 μg mL?1) in comparison with epigallocatechin gallate. These results showed that C. hakodatensis is a potential source of antimicrobial agent capable of preventing the growth of the two bacteria.  相似文献

The effects of CoCl(2) on retinoic acid (RA)-treated embryoid bodies (EBs) were investigated. Four-day EBs were treated with 5x10(-6) M of RA for 4 d, then subjected to attached culturing for 7 d in the presence of CoCl(2) at 0, 20, and 100 microM. Differentiation into MAP2- and GFAP-immunopositive cells was inhibited by CoCl(2) in a dose-dependent manner. Next, RA-treated EBs were dissociated into single cells and cultured for 7 d at an initial cell density of 1x10(3)/cm(2). The number of cells increased in a CoCl(2)-dose dependent fashion. In cultures with 100 microM of CoCl(2), more than 90% of the cells were immunopositive for nestin and nestin-immunopositive cells formed clusters, while there were few cells immunopositive for MAP2 or GFAP. These results suggest that CoCl(2) inhibits neural differentiation of RA-treated EB cells and promotes the proliferation of nestin-immunopositive cells, i.e., embryonic stem (ES)-derived neural stem-like cells.  相似文献

Scope

Ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation causes skin barrier dysfunction, leading to decreased water-holding capacity, impaired epidermal barrier function, and increased skin thickness. This study investigates the protective effects of oral administration of Lacticaseibacillus paracasei K71 against skin barrier dysfunction in UVB-irradiated mice.

Methods and results

Mice are fed diets with or without K71 and irradiated with UVB three times a week for 12 weeks. Oral administration of K71 suppresses UVB-induced decrease in stratum corneum water content, mitigates the increase of transepidermal water loss, and decreases epidermal thickness of the dorsal skin. Treatment with K71 reverses the upregulation of inflammatory cytokines and the activation of nuclear factor-κB induced by UVB irradiation and upregulates the expression of anti-inflammatory IL-10 in the dorsal skin. Notable upregulation of IL-10 is observed in the spleens of K71-treated mice. K71 treatment enhances IL-10 production in J774.1 macrophages; however, this enhancement is diminished by inhibiting K71 phagocytosis and TLR3. Furthermore, transfection using K71 RNAs significantly increases IL-10 production.

Conclusion

These results indicate that K71 may alleviate UVB-induced skin barrier dysfunction by attenuating inflammation via increasing IL-10 production and that K71 RNAs may induce IL-10 production in macrophages. Therefore, K71 may be beneficial for preventing skin barrier dysfunction.  相似文献

A novel GC-MS method was developed for the determination of acrylamide, which is applicable to a variety of processed foods, including potato snacks, corn snacks, biscuits, instant noodles, coffee, soy sauces and miso (fermented soy bean paste). The method involves the derivatization of acrylamide with xanthydrol instead of a bromine compound. Isotopically labelled acrylamide (d?-acrylamide) was used as the internal standard. The aqueous extract from samples was purified using Sep-Pak? C?? and Sep-Pak? AC-2 columns. For amino acid-rich samples, such as miso or soy sauce, an Extrelut? column was used for purification or extraction. After reaction with xanthydrol, the resultant N-xanthyl acrylamide was determined by GC-MS. The method was validated for various food matrices and showed good linearity, precision and trueness. The limit of detection and limit of quantification ranged 0.5-5 and 5-20?μg?kg?1), respectively. The developed method was applied as an exploratory survey of acrylamide in Japanese foods and the method was shown to be applicable for all samples tested.  相似文献

Thermal decomposition and the burning properties of BAMO based propellants with HMX or AN/HMX have been investigated. The heat generated by the azide binder decomposition initiated and accelerated the thermal decomposition of HMX and AN. Ammonium perchlorate (AP) and lead stearate with carbon black significantly altered the mechanisms of the thermal decomposition and the burning properties of the HMX based propellants. AP showed an increase in burning rate with a slight decrease in burning rate pressure exponent. The lead catalyst yielded high value of the burning rate with the lowest pressure exponent. The ammonium dichromate also influenced the mechanisms of the thermal decomposition and the burning properties of the AN/HMX samples. The combination of ammonium dichromate and copper chromite was the most effective on the burning rate augmentation of AN/HMX based propellants. AN sublimed and evaporated from the condensed phase and mainly reacted exothermically in the gas phase HMX and AN/HMX based propellants showed smokeless burning characteristics in the small rocket motor combustion tests.  相似文献

Cortisol-producing adenoma (CPA) is composed of clear and compact cells. Clear cells are lipid abundant, and compact ones lipid poor but associated with higher production of steroid hormones. PRKACA mutation (PRKACA mt) in CPA patients was reported to be associated with more pronounced clinical manifestation of Cushing’s syndrome. In this study, we examined the association of histological features and genotypes with cholesterol uptake receptors and synthetic enzymes in 40 CPA cases, and with the quantitative results obtained by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis in 33 cases to explore their biological and clinical significance. Both cholesterol uptake receptors and synthetic enzymes were more abundant in compact cells. GC-MS analysis demonstrated that the percentage of compact cells was inversely correlated with the concentrations of cholesterol and cholesterol esters, and positively with the activity of cholesterol biosynthesis from cholesterol esters. In addition, hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL), which catalyzes cholesterol biosynthesis from cholesterol esters, tended to be more abundant in compact cells of PRKACA mt CPAs. These results demonstrated that both cholesterol uptake and biosynthesis were more pronounced in compact cells in CPA. In addition, more pronounced HSL expression in compact cells of PRKACA mt CPA could contribute to their more pronounced clinical manifestation.  相似文献
