The physicochemical and electrochemical properties of three 1-alkyl-2,3,5-trimethylpyrazolium cation-based room-temperature ionic liquids with various alkyl chain lengths were investigated. The temperature dependences of density, viscosity, and ionic conductivity were obtained by precise measurements. Electrolyte properties of these room-temperature ionic liquids were also examined from the viewpoint of their uses in lithium secondary batteries ([LiCoO2 positive electrode|electrolyte|lithium metal negative electrode]). It was found that the alkyl chain length affects the charge–discharge performances of cells. 相似文献

Surface of an InAs wetting layer on GaAs(001) preceding InAs quantum dot (QD) formation was observed at 300°C with in situ
scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). Domains of (1 × 3)/(2 × 3) and (2 × 4) surface reconstructions were located in the STM
image. The density of each surface reconstruction domain was comparable to that of subsequently nucleated QD precursors. The
distribution of the domains was statistically investigated in terms of spatial point patterns. It was found that the domains
were distributed in an ordered pattern rather than a random pattern. It implied the possibility that QD nucleation sites are

Investigations were conducted on the VFT (Very Fast Transient) surges that propagate into a 500‐kV transformer. The disconnector restriking surge and ground fault surged were discussed. It was regarded that a large part of the surge voltage was applied just at the entrance of the transformer winding for the VFT surges. Thus, an equivalent circuit that models the windings was used for the analysis. The overvoltages that appear between the first winding sections at the entrance of the transformer were computed. The following was established. (1) The overvoltage between the first winding sections becomes greater when the magnitude of the voltage change at the transformer terminal is larger. The overvoltage between the first winding sections is not affected by the magnitude of the transformer terminal voltage. (2) For the disconnectors that are not connected directly to the transformer, the voltage change at the transformer terminal is not so large. (3) In the case of a ground fault at the GIS near the transformer, the voltage change at the transformer terminal is the same as that for a disconnector directly connected to the transformer. (4) In actual GIS, the disconnector that is connected directly to the transformer is not usually used. In this situation, the overvoltages that threaten the transformer insulation will not be generated by the restriking of the disconnectors. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Localized impact problems for composite structures have recently become important. In this study, some elastic wave velocities in 7-ply GFRP laminate with [02/903/02] ply orientation after low speed impact was investigated by using both experimental methods and finite element methods. For the finite element simulation, the quasi-three-dimensional model was used. Comparing the results, the validity for the application of this model to the dynamic problem was estimated. Moreover the quasi-three-dimensional model is applied to the GFRP plates with interlaminar delamination. The relationship between the elastic wave velocities and delaminated states is discussed. 相似文献

Dispersion polymerization of styrene in an aqueous alcohol solution using poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) as a polymeric stabilizer was performed to prepare micron-size monodisperse polystyrene particles. As the water content of the solvent increased, the polymerization rate and the molecular weight of the polymer particles increased and the particle size decreased. Case studies on process sequence design in cold forming of engine valve slider and self-locking nuts
Two cases on process sequence design are presented. One describes the procedure for manufacturing an engine valve slider, and the other for self-locking nut manufacturing. They are based on experts' experience. All operations required to produce final products, from raw material are shown, and general considerations and rules for forming sequence design are explained. For engine valve sliders several upsetting processes are used preforming operations and the final product is obtained by combined forward and backward extrusion. In manufacturing of self-locking nuts special features involved in design are shown in turning the workpiece upside down during the process sequence and producing intentionally a minor crack for the final operation of piercing. We previously established a limited sampling model (LSM) for the area under the concentration versus time curve (AUC) of irinotecan (CPT-11). Using this LSM, we performed a pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic analysis of CPT-11 in a multicentric Phase II study for non-small cell lung cancer. Ten institutes participated in this study, 36 patients were registered, and 30 patients were evaluable for the pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic analysis. CPT-11 and etoposide were administered daily for three consecutive days, both at a dose of 60 mg/m2. Blood samples were obtained 4 and 8 h after infusion on days 1 and 3. When using the LSM, there is a significant possible source of error in the timing of these selected points. In this study, however, the sample timing error was small. Mean timing errors were 1.0-4.0 min at each point. The estimated CPT-11 AUCs were: Day 1 Day 2 Day 1 + 3 Mean +/- SD (mg.h/liter) 3.76+/-0.68 4.10+/-0.86 7.86+/-1.43 Range 2.01-5.03 2. 29-5.72 4.30-10.68 Max/min 2.50 2.45 2.48 High interpatient variability was observed in the AUC. The CPT-11 AUC correlated positively with the grade of emesis (P = 0.003) and the percent decreases in WBC count (P = 0.001) and absolute neutrophil count (P =0.0006), but it did not correlate with the grade of diarrhea or response. This paper describes a power-efficient distributed TDMA slot scheduling algorithm which the slot allocation priority is controlled by distance measurement information in details. In our former proposed scheme, L-DRAND+, an extension of Lamport’s bakery algorithm for prioritized slot allocation based on the distance measurement information between nodes and a packet-based transmission power control had been applied. In this paper, we propose its enhanced scheme with a weighted rule control and state machines refinements of L-DRAND+, named L-DRAND++. This aims at the achievement of media access control methods which can construct a local wireless network practically by limiting the scope, and eliminate the redundant power consumption in the network. The proposed scheme can be shown as a possible replacement of DRAND algorithm for Z-MAC scheme in a distance-measurement-oriented manner. In addition, to evaluate the ordered node sequence determined by the algorithm, node sequence metric is proposed. Microstructure at the interface of ZrC and ZrO2 formed by oxidation of a single crystal of ZrC with 100 faces at 600°C at an oxygen pressure of 2 kPa was observed by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The ZrO2 scale was shown to consist of two subscales, zones 1 and 2. The interfacial area in zone 1 was composed of regular lattice fringes corresponding to the 111, 200, and 220 lattices of cubic ZrO2 (c-ZrO2) crystallites 2 to 10 nm in size and an amorphous phase. The growth of crystallites occurred in zone 2, which visualized the interface of zones 1 and 2. Black thin films reminiscent of zone 1 were successfully separated, which were composed of amorphous carbon in which c-ZrO2 particles 2 to 20 nm in size were included. 相似文献
