We analyze kink and power saturation phenomena of high power 660-nm laser diodes for DVD-R/RW experimentally. Power-current (P-I) and voltage-current (V-I) characteristics of laser diodes with different cavity lengths were measured. Using these results and thermal resistances, temperature rises caused by self-heating (/spl Delta/T) and the dependence of slope efficiencies on the temperature rise (Se-/spl Delta/T) were calculated. The slope efficiencies decreased linearly with /spl Delta/T and their gradients showed the same value regardless of the cavity length, while they had no systematic dependence on the current. The kinks occurred at the same /spl Delta/T of 30/spl deg/C regardless of the cavity length, while they occurred at different currents. These results indicate that the temperature rise caused by the self-heating is a key parameter for the kink and the saturation power. A method is proposed to calculate the kink and the saturation power using the gradient (Se-/spl Delta/T) and the kink temperature. 相似文献

The atmospheric corrosion of marble was evaluated in terms of SO2 concentration as air pollution and climatic factors such as rainfall, relative humidity, temperature and so on under the field exposure. Marble of calcite type (CaCO3) was exposed to outdoor atmospheric environment with and without a rain shelter at four test sites in the southern part of Vietnam for 3-month, 1- and 2-year periods from July 2001 to September 2003. The thickness loss of marble was investigated gravimetrically. X-ray diffraction and X-ray fluorescent methods were applied to study corrosion products on marble. The corrosion product of marble was only gypsum (CaSO4 · 2H2O) and was washed out by rain under the unsheltered exposure condition. It was found that the most substantial factors influencing the corrosion of marble were rainfall, SO2 concentration in the air and relative humidity. Based on the results obtained, we estimated the dose-response functions for the atmospheric corrosion of marble in the southern part of Vietnam. 相似文献

In deep geological disposal of high-level nuclear waste,one of the most important subjects is to estimate long-term stability and strength of host rock under high temperature conditions caused by radioactive decay of the waste.In this paper,some experimental researches on the thermo-mechanical characteristics of soft sedimentary rock have been presented.For this reason,a new temperature-controlled triaxial compression and creep test device,operated automatically by a computer-controlled system,whose control software has been developed by the authors,was developed to conduct the thermo-mechanical tests in different thermal loading paths,including an isothermal path.The new device is proved to be able to conduct typical thermo-mechanical element tests for soft rock.The test device and the related testing method were introduced in detail.Finally,some test results have been simulated with a thermo-elasto-viscoplastic model that was also developed by the authors. 相似文献

Liquid–liquid dispersion and mass transfer were investigated in mechanically stirred vessels without baffles by changing operation factors such as an impeller rotation speed, off-bottom clearance, volumetric liquid ratio, etc. The dispersion regime was categorized into five groups: the sedimentary liquid was kept at the vessel bottom (I), partially elevated without any collision (II), partially dispersed by colliding with the impeller bottom (III), both liquids were partially dispersed by collisions with impeller blades (III’), and the sedimentary liquid was completely dispersed (IV). The dispersion switched to I → II → III → IV with the increasing rotation speed and decreasing off-bottom clearance. The liquid–liquid mass transfer rate was significantly enhanced with the collision of the sedimentary liquid with the impeller bottom, and subsequently increased with the increasing rotation speed, volumetric liquid ratio, and vessel diameter and with the decreasing off-bottom clearance. A PCR‐amplified genomic DNA fragment encoding Japanese pear (Pyrus pyrifolia) polyphenol oxidase (PPO) was cloned and sequenced. The DNA appears to encode a 66 kDa precursor protein consisting of a 56 kDa mature protein and a 9.5 kDa N‐terminal transit peptide. The amino acid sequence showed high homology with apple PPO. The PPO mainly existed as a soluble fraction in cells and was limitedly proteolysed, while the mature form (56 kDa) was detected in plastids. Immature fruits showing high browning potential had high PPO activity and a high level of phenolics, while mature fruits showing little browning had high PPO activity but a low level of phenolics. The relative distribution of types I and III collagens and collagen fibre architecture in the perimysium and endomysium were compared to the longissimus thoracis (LT) and pectoralis profundus (PP) muscles in pigs. The LT muscle was composed of type I myofibres 16.8%, IIA 12.9% and IIB 70.2%, and the PP muscle was 25.4, 23.1 and 51.5%, respectively. The total collagen amount differed significantly between the LT (2.66 mg/g) and PP (4.13 mg/g) muscle (P<0.001). On image analysis of the immunohistochemical preparations for types I and III collagens, the percentage area of the perimysium to the total collagen area showed significant differences between the muscles, where perimysial type I collagen occupied 25.4% of the total area in the LT muscle and 45.7% in the PP and perimysial type III 37.6 and 54.5%, respectively (P<0.001). In scanning electron microscopic photographs of the macerated preparation, very thick collagen layers composed of several fibre bands were observed in the perimysia of the PP muscle and appeared differently from the thinner perimysia with a few bands in the LT. Similar architecture of endomysial collagen fibres were observed around every myofibre type in the PP muscle and also in the LT. The fine surface cover of reticular collagen fibres around an adipocyte was shown as a global cast. These results suggested that the total collagen amount of the PP muscle was related mainly to the well developed perimysia composed of several collagen bands, indicating tougher meat compared with the LT muscle. 相似文献

The gelation of myosin has a very important role in meat products. We have already shown that myosin in low ionic strength solution containing l ‐histidine forms a transparent gel after heating. To clarify the mechanism of this unique gelation, we investigated the changes in the nature of myosin subfragments during heating in solutions with low and high ionic strengths with and without l ‐histidine. The hydrophobicity of myosin and heavy meromyosin (HMM) in low ionic strength solution containing l ‐histidine was lower than in high ionic strength solution. The SH contents of myosin and HMM in low ionic strength solution containing l ‐histidine did not change during the heating process, whereas in high ionic strength solution they decreased slightly. The heat‐induced globular masses of HMM in low ionic strength solution containing l ‐histidine were smaller than those in high ionic strength solution. These findings suggested that the polymerization of HMM molecules by heating was suppressed in low ionic strength solution containing l ‐histidine, resulting in formation of the unique gel. 相似文献

Alpha-arbutin is a tyrosinase inhibitor. We synthesized alpha-arbutin-alpha-glycosides by the transglycosylation reaction of cyclomaltodextrin glucanotransferase from Bacillus macerans using alpha-arbutin and starch as acceptor and donor molecules, respectively. We isolated and characterized two major products from the reaction mixture. The structural analyses using 13C- and 1H-NMR spectroscopy proved that they were 4-hydroxyphenyl alpha-maltoside (alpha-Ab-alpha-G1) and 4-hydroxyphenyl alpha-maltotrioside (alpha-Ab-alpha-G2). Both alpha-Ab-alpha-G1 and alpha-Ab-alpha-G2 exhibited competitive-type inhibition on human tyrosinase as alpha-arbutin does. Their K(i) values were calculated to be 0.6 mM and 2.8 mM, respectively, which is slightly and significantly higher than that of alpha-arbutin (0.2 mM). 相似文献

We describe a membrane-based collection/analysis system that differentially monitors H2S and CH3SH, and to which a conductometric SO2 analyzer using the same collector was coupled. A diffusion scrubber (DS) comprised of a Nafion tube collects H2S selectively while a porous polytetrafluoroethylene (pPTFE) DS collects both H2S and CH3SH. Both gases are measured via their ability to react with fluorescein mercuric acetate (FMA) which results in decreased fluorescence. The limited dynamic range of a negative signal procedure was overcome by using dual DS units comprised of short and long scrubbers, placed serially in the liquid flow line. Different DS designs and membrane materials were investigated. H2S, CH3SH, and SO2 from a biogenic point source were continuously measured, and the H2S/CH3SH data compared well with a standard procedure involving Tedlar bag collection, preconcentration and thermal desorption from a Tenax trap, and measurement by gas chromatography/flame photometric detection. Walkaround portability of the instrument and very large dynamic range measurement of H2S and SO2 were demonstrated around the Mt. Aso volcano. 相似文献

A series of LiMnyFe1−yPO4 samples have been prepared in the whole range 0 ≤ y ≤ 1. Chemical delithiation could be achieved to obtain MnyFe1−yPO4 in the range 0 ≤ y ≤ 0.8, keeping the same crystal phase (olivine structure, space group Pnma). The composition y = 0.8 is the limit where the delithiated phase is still crystallized, but abruptly suffers strains at the molecular scale evidenced by both optical spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The analysis of the magnetic properties shows that in all the samples the concentration of impurities is negligible. The concentration of polarons, either holes associated to Li vacancies in LiMnyFe1−yPO4 or electrons associated to the existence of Li left in the matrix of MnyFe1−yPO4, is found to be small (≤1%) in all the samples. For y ≤ 0.6, all the Mn3+ ions MnyFe1−yPO4 are in the high-spin state (S = 2). At larger manganese concentration, however, the Mn3+ ions in excess of the critical concentration yc = 0.6 undergo a transition to the low-spin state (S = 1). As a consequence, and in contrast with prior works, we find that Mn0.8Fe0.2PO4 has magnetic interactions that are much smaller, and no antiferromagnetic ordering in this compound is detected, at least above 20 K. Antiferromagnetic ordering that had been reported so far for MnyFe1−yPO4 at large y-composition might come from incomplete delithiation. The spin-transition of Mn3+ in concentration (y–yc) to the low-spin state is at the origin of the strain fields at the molecular scale that increase with y for y > 0.6, and ultimately prevents the full delithiation for y > 0.8. This result sheds light on the reason for the degradation of cathode properties in Mn-rich compounds of the heterosite–purpurite series, while the electrochemical properties are good in the range y ≤ 0.6 but only at slow rates, due to the very small hopping mobility of the small polaron. 相似文献
