The impregnation of Ketjen Black (C) with iron and cobalt phthalocyanines (MPc) taken one by one or as a 1:1 stoichiometric mixture, followed by heat treatment at 600 °C under inert atmosphere, gave materials containing arrays of single metal ions coordinated by four nitrogen atoms (M-N4 units). Increasing the pyrolysis temperature to 800° resulted in the formation of carbon-supported, nanosized metal particles. A key role of the carbon support in determining the material structure at either temperature investigated was demonstrated by TPD, EXAFS, XANES and XRPD studies. These also showed that a Fe-Co alloy is obtained at 800 °C when the impregnation of Ketjen Black involves a mixture of FePc and CoPc. Electrodes coated with the different Fe, Co and Fe-Co materials, containing ca. 3 wt% metal loadings, were scrutinized for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in alkaline media by linear sweep voltammetry. For comparative purposes, two Pt electrocatalysts containing 3 and 20 wt% metal were investigated. The electrochemical activity of all materials was analyzed by Tafel and Koutecky-Levich plots as well as chronopotentiometry. The Fe-containing electrocatalysts have been found to be highly active for the ORR in alkaline media with convective limiting currents as high as 600 A g Fe−1 at room temperature and onset potentials as high as 1.02 V vs. RHE. It has been found that (i) the ORR mass activity of the Pc-derived electrocatalysts is superior to that of the Pt catalysts investigated; (ii) the activity of FePc and FePc-CoPc/C, heat treated at either 600 or 800 °C, is superior to that of the corresponding Co materials; (iii) the electrocatalysts obtained at 600 °C are fairly more active than those obtained at 800 °C.  相似文献

The paper presents an investigation on the catalytic activity for the ethanol steam reforming of Co3O4 oxidized, reduced and supported on MgO, and of CoO in MgO solid solution. Only samples containing metallic cobalt are found to be active for reforming reaction. H2-TPR characterization of aged samples shows that reaction mixture oxidizes a small fraction of metallic cobalt to Co+2. A distinct role of Co+2 and Co0 in the reaction is enlightened.  相似文献

A comprehensive geotechnical in situ and laboratory investigation into the soils forming the Upper Quaternary basin of the Venetian Lagoon has been carried out. In addition to standard tests, measurements of shear wave velocity were performed using crosshole, seismic piezocone, bender element system, and resonant column tests. Despite the incompatible strain levels of the seismic and piezocone tests, it is shown that piezocone tip resistance and excess pore pressure can be used for a preliminary estimate of the small-strain shear modulus Gmax for the Venetian soils.  相似文献

In the last decade, underwater wireless sensor networks have been widely studied because of their peculiar aspects that distinguish them from common terrestrial wireless networks. Their applications range from environmental monitoring to military defense. The definition of efficient routing protocols in underwater sensor networks is a challenging topic of research because of the intrinsic characteristics of these networks, such as the need of handling the node mobility and the difficulty in balancing the energy consumed by the nodes. Depth‐based routing protocol is an opportunistic routing protocol for underwater sensor networks, which provides good performance both under high and low node mobility scenarios. The main contribution of our work is presenting a novel simulator for studying depth‐based routing protocol and its variants as well as novel routing protocols. Our simulator is based on AquaSim–Next Generation, which is a specialized tool for studying underwater networks. With our work, we improve the state of the art of underwater routing protocol simulators by implementing, among other features, a detailed cross‐layer communication and an accurate model of the operational modes of acoustic modem and their energy consumption. The simulator is open source and freely downloadable. Moreover, we propose a novel and completely distributed routing protocol, named residual energy–depth‐based routing. It takes into account the residual energy at the nodes' batteries to select the forwarder nodes and improve the network lifetime by providing a more uniform energy consumption among them. We compare its performance with that of depth‐based routing protocol and a receiver‐based routing protocol implementing a probabilistic opportunistic forwarding scheme.  相似文献

A method for the separation of phospholipids (PL) from total lipids by solid-phase extraction (SPE) with reversephase C8 cartridges is described. The method was validated with a standard mixture of PL and applied to natural food matrixes, such as egg, chicken meat, salami, and ripened cheese. The recovery of PL ranged between 93 and 99.7% and was evaluated by an organic phosphorus spectrophotometric determination. The egg powder PL fraction obtained by SPE contained about 20% (w/w) nonpolar PL material when 100–150 mg of lipids were loaded onto the cartridge. Higher percentages of nonphospholipid components (30–43%) were obtained when the amount of lipids loaded was below or above the 100–150 mg range. The purified PL fractions were analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with an evaporative light-scattering detector. Good HPLC performance was observed even with low-purity SPE fractions (43% nonphospholipid material).  相似文献

Surveyed psychologists outside the clinical realm to ascertain their views on the efficacy of psychotherapy, as well as their views on clinical psychologists. Surveys were mailed to 300 nonclinical psychologists randomly chosen from the American Psychological Association Directory. Results of 109 usable surveys suggest that although the majority had a positive view of clinical psychology, a substantial minority either were uncertain or disagreed that therapy was effective.
