In the presence of input interference, the Wiener solution for impulse response estimation is biased. It is proved that bias removal can be achieved by proper scaling of the optimal filter coefficients and a modified least mean squares (LMS) algorithm is then developed for accurate system identification in noise. A study was made to investigate an optimum condition for ruthenium tetraoxide staining of poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT) with glass transition temperature as low as ca. 23 degrees C for TEM observation of melt-grown PBT crystals. The morphological study of ultrathin sections prepared based on optimum staining at 25 degrees C for 8 h revealed formation of fringed-micellar crystal nuclei in the early stage and folded-chain fringed-micellar crystals in the later stage of isothermal crystallization at 40 degrees C from melt. The fraction of chain-folded crystals increased with increasing crystallization temperature from the quantitative analysis of crystal thickness in comparison with the reported morphology using the replica method.  相似文献

Our purpose was to evaluate whether maternal and fetal nitric oxide synthesis in pregnancies with small for gestational age (SGA) infants are different from those in pregnancies with appropriate for gestational age (AGA) infants. Maternal and fetal circulating nitrate and nitrite concentrations were compared between 30 pregnancies with AGA and 10 pregnancies with SGA at birth. End-products of nitric oxide synthesis were measured in maternal and cord venous blood samples using a fluorometric assay. Umbilical artery blood pH and PO2 were also measured. Maternal circulating nitrite and nitrate concentrations (6.91 +/- 1.27 microM) in pregnancies with SGA were significantly lower than those (11.69 +/- 1.33 microM) in pregnancies with AGA (P = 0.015). Fetal circulating nitrite and nitrate concentrations (7.54 +/- 1.09 microM) in pregnancies with SGA were also significantly lower than those (11.24 +/- 1.08 microM) in pregnancies with AGA (P = 0.024). There were no significant differences in umbilical artery blood pH and PO2 between the two groups. These results suggest that maternal and fetal nitric oxide synthesis are decreased in pregnancies with SGA infants.  相似文献

A segmented ethylene terephthalate (ET)–caprolactone (CL) copolymer was characterized by light scattering in chloroform tetrahydrofuran and butanone. The flexibility of the copolymer chain is comparable with that of typical flexible chains, such as polystyrene. In the process of applying the Bushuk–Benoit light scattering theory to the segmented PET–PCL copolymer, we encountered not only the problem of finding three solvents with different refractive index but also the problem of determining the specific refractive index increments for the PET and PCL segments in the copolymer, i.e., νPET and νPCL . In principle, the approximate values of νPET and νPCL can be obtained from the PET and PCL homopolymers, respectively. In reality, it involves many practical problems, e.g., to find three solvents not only for copolymer but also for the PET and PCL homopolymers. In this study, a different method was used to find both νPET and νPCL , wherein the ν values of at least two segmented PET–PCL copolymers with different PET compositions were used. With νPET , νPCL , and ν, we characterized the absolute molecular weight. Further, we show that the composition of an unknown segmented PET–PCL copolymer can be estimated from νPET , νPCL , and ν. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Accurate estimation of the attitude of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is crucial for their control and displacement. Errors in the attitude estimate may misuse the limited battery energy of UAVs or even cause an accident. For attitude estimation, proprioceptive sensors such as inertial measurement units (IMUs) are widely applied, but they are susceptible to inertial guidance error. With antenna arrays currently being installed in UAVs for communication with ground base stations, we can take advantage of the array structure in order to improve the estimates of IMUs via data fusion. In this paper, we therefore propose an attitude estimation system based on a hexagon-shaped 7-element electronically steerable parasitic antenna radiator (ESPAR) array. The ESPAR array is well-suited for installment in the UAVs with broad wings and short bodies. Our proposed solution returns an estimation for the pitch and roll based on the inter-element phase delay estimates of the line-of-sight path of the impinging signal over the antenna array. By exploiting the parallel and centrosymmetric structure in the hexagon-shaped ESPAR array, the 3-dimensional Unitary ESPRIT algorithm is applied for phase delay estimation to achieve high accuracy as well as computational efficiency. We devise an attitude estimation algorithm by exploiting the geometrical relationship between the UAV attitude and the estimated phase delays. An analytical closed-form expression of the attitude estimates is obtained by solving the established simultaneous nonlinear equations. Simulations results show the feasibility of our proposed solution for different signal-to-noise ratio levels as well as multipath scenarios.  相似文献

Asymmetric Michael reactions of ß-ketoesters with enones were effectively catalyzed by complexes of silver salts and BINAP derivatives in water. The reactions have proved to give Michael adducts in high yields with high enantioselectivities. Epitaxial La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 (LCMO) thin films were successfully prepared by the metal-organic deposition process on various (001) single-crystal substrates: MgO, LaAlO3 (LAO), SrTiO3 (STO), and (LaAlO3)0.3-(SrAlTaO6)0.7 (LSAT). The crystallinity and the epitaxial growth of the LCMO films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (θ − 2θ scans and pole-figure analysis). The temperature dependence of the resistance of the LCMO/LSAT, LCMO/STO and LCMO/LAO films exhibit typical characteristics with a transition from the paramagnetic-insulator state to the ferromagnetic-metallic state at a temperature peak (T p ) ranging from 258 to 270 K. However, the LCMO/MgO films exhibited a semiconducting behavior without any transition. Based on the R(T) measurement, we calculated the temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) for a bolometric application and we obtained 22%/K, 10.2%/K and 27.5%/K for the film grown on the LSAT, STO and LAO substrates, respectively. This difference in the TCR properties is related to the strain induced by the lattice mismatch between LCMO and the different substrates.  相似文献

A relationship between emission characteristics of Ba atom as an emitter material and temperature distributions of an electrode in a fluorescent lamp is described, which is measured by using laser-induced fluorescence and black-body radiation method, respectively. In a virgin lamp, a hot spot observed at the electrode edge connected to the power supply is the main source of Ba atom emission. In a long-term-used lamp, it is shown that Ba atom emission, thermionic electron emission in cathode half-cycle and electron collection in anode half-cycle are most active on the hot spot appearing on the center of the electrode.  相似文献
