Single-phase NiFe2O4 nanoparticles embedded in SiO2 matrix have been synthesized by sol-gel method. Average particle size lies in the range 8?C12 nm. Magnetic measurements are taken by SQUID-magnetometer with a maximum applied field of ??7 T and temperature down to 4.2 K. An exchange bias effect in nanoparticles is due to the existence of strong core-shell interactions and it vanishes as the particle size decreases (<4?nm). Spin disorder and frustration appear at the core-shell interface due to broken bonds on the surface. We have observed the exchange bias effect via hysteresis loop shift, when the sample is cooled in an applied field of 5?T. In both AC and DC fields, our system exhibit memory effects at the halted temperatures. Furthermore, a sharp increase of coercivity at low temperatures (<50 K) is observed, which is attributed to increased surface anisotropy at low temperatures. For saturation magnetization vs. temperature data, Bloch??s T 3/2 law (M(T)=M(0)?(1?BT b )) is fitted well and yields: B=4??10?05 K?3/2 and b=1.53. All these measurements prove the presence of exchange bias (core-shell interactions), memory effects, validation of Bloch??s T 3/2 law and freezing effects in nickel ferrite nanoparticles dispersed in SiO2 matrix.  相似文献

In this study, the effect of inoculant composition and nodularisation treatment temperature on recalescence temperature (TER) and undercooling temperature (TEU) in SG iron has been studied by using thermal analysis. 0·1, 0·2 and 0·3 wt-% of three types of inoculants Ca,Ce,Al–FeSi, Ca,Sr,Al–FeSi and Ca,Ba,Al–FeSi were used as so called stream inoculation. Ca,Ce,Al–FeSi was found to be the most potent one in reducing both recalescence (?T r ) and eutectic undercooling (?T). The nodule count has also been found higher in Ca,Ce,Al–FeSi inoculated SG iron samples compared to other two inoculants. It has been observed that higher the nodule count lower is the ?T r and ?T and vice versa. The recalescence and shrinkage relationship of 24 heats of differential case castings has been established; it was observed that the number of castings containing shrinkage in respective heats increase as the recalescence and nodularisation treatment temperature increases.  相似文献

Current moving object detection systems typically detect shadows cast by the moving object as part of the moving object. In this paper, the problem of separating moving cast shadows from the moving objects in an outdoor environment is addressed. Unlike previous work, we present an approach that does not rely on any geometrical assumptions such as camera location and ground surface/object geometry. The approach is based on a new spatio-temporal albedo test and dichromatic reflection model and accounts for both the sun and the sky illuminations. Results are presented for several video sequences representing a variety of ground materials when the shadows are cast on different surface types. These results show that our approach is robust to widely different background and foreground materials, and illuminations.  相似文献

On a class of branching problems in broadcasting and distribution   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We introduce the following network optimization problem: given a directed graph with a cost function on the arcs, demands at the nodes, and a single source s, find the minimum cost connected subgraph from s such that its total demand is no less than lower bound D. We describe applications of this problem to disaster relief and media broadcasting, and show that it generalizes several well-known models including the knapsack problem, the partially ordered knapsack problem, the minimum branching problem, and certain scheduling problems. We prove that our problem is strongly NP-complete and give an integer programming formulation. We also provide five heuristic approaches, illustrate them with a numerical example, and provide a computational study on both small and large sized, randomly generated problems. The heuristics run efficiently on the tested problems and provide solutions that, on average, are fairly close to optimal.  相似文献

This article deals with the variable MHD effects on the peristaltic flow of a non‐Newtonian fluid in the presence of heat and mass transfer. The walls of annulus are maintained at different temperatures. Continuity, momentum concentration, and energy equations are utilized in the mathematical analysis. The direct-current electrical conduction both before and after the electroforming process is investigated in thin layers of GeO2 co-evaporated with BaO and sandwiched between various metallic electrodes. The mobility associated with the conduction at low temperature (hopping) is evaluated. Electroformed devices show voltage-controlled negative resistance and electron emission. The effect of the nature of the metallic electrodes and that of the dielectric thickness on these electrical properties is reported.  相似文献

The present in vivo study determined the microbiological counts of the gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) among patients with fixed dental prostheses fabricated using three different techniques. A total of 129 subjects were divided into three study groups: first, cobalt-chrome-based, metal-ceramic prostheses fabricated by the conventional method (MC, n = 35); the second group consisted of cobalt-chrome-based, metal-ceramic prostheses fabricated by the computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technique (CC-MC, n = 35); the third group comprised zirconia-based ceramic prostheses fabricated using the CAD/CAM technique (CC-Zr, n = 35). The control consisted of 24 patients using prostheses fabricated with either MC, CC-MC, or CC-Zr. The GCF was obtained from the subjects before treatment, and 6 and 12 months after the prosthetic treatment. Bacteriological and bacterioscopic analysis of the GCF was performed to analyze the patients’ GCF. The data were analyzed using SPSS V20 (IBM Company, Chicago, IL, USA). The number of microorganisms of the gingival crevicular fluid in all groups at 12 months of prosthetic treatment reduced dramatically compared with the data obtained before prosthetic treatment. Inflammatory processes in the periodontium occurred slowly in the case of zirconium oxide-based ceramic constructions due to their biocompatibility with the mucous membranes and tissues of the oral cavity as well as a reduced risk of dental biofilm formation. This should be considered by dentists and prosthodontists when choosing restoration materials for subjects with periodontal pathology.  相似文献
