Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a potential substitute for conventional metallic biomedical implants owing to its superior mechanical and chemical properties, as well as biocompatibility. However, its inherent bio-inertness and poor osseointegration limit its use in clinical applications. Herein, thin titanium films were deposited on the PEEK substrate by plasma sputtering, and porous nanonetwork structures were incorporated on the PEEK surface by alkali treatment (PEEK-TNS). Changes in the physical and chemical characteristics of the PEEK surface were analyzed to establish the interactions with cell behaviors. The osteoimmunomodulatory properties were evaluated using macrophage cells and osteoblast lineage cells. The functionalized nanostructured surface of PEEK-TNS effectively promoted initial cell adhesion and proliferation, suppressed inflammatory responses, and induced macrophages to anti-inflammatory M2 polarization. Compared with PEEK, PEEK-TNS provided a more beneficial osteoimmune environment, including increased levels of osteogenic, angiogenic, and fibrogenic gene expression, and balanced osteoclast activities. Furthermore, the crosstalk between macrophages and osteoblast cells showed that PEEK-TNS could provide favorable osteoimmunodulatory environment for bone regeneration. PEEK-TNS exhibited high osteogenic activity, as indicated by alkaline phosphatase activity, osteogenic factor production, and the osteogenesis/osteoclastogenesis-related gene expression of osteoblasts. The study establishes that the fabrication of titanate nanonetwork structures on PEEK surfaces could extract an adequate immune response and favorable osteogenesis for functional bone regeneration. The effects of growth temperature on the fatty acid compositions of the phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine
(PE), and total lipid (TL) fractions of the free-living nematodeCaenorhabditis elegans were investigated. A reduction in growth temperature from 25 to 15°C caused the proportions of eicosapentaenoic acid (20∶5n-3)
to increase from 23.6 to 32.5% in the PC, from 7.4 to 10.8% in the PE, and from 12.9 to 19.9% in the TL fractions. Conversely,
the levels of dihomo-γ-linolenic acid (20∶3n-6) and arachidonic acid (20∶4n-6) in these phospholipid fractions and the TL
fraction both decreased with decreasing growth temperature. Analysis of the positional distribution of fatty acids in the
PC fraction revealed that the change in the composition of C20 polyunsaturated fatty acid was obvious in positionsn-2. Lowering the growth temperature induced an increase in the level of the diacyl subclass of PE from 58% at 25°C to 71%

This paper proposes a hybrid decoupled power flow method for balanced power distribution systems with distributed generation sources.The method formulates the power flow equations in active power and reactive power decoupled form with polar coordinates.Second-order terms are included in the active power mismatch iteration,and constant Jacobian and Hessian matrices are used.A hybrid direct and indirect solution technique is used to achieve efficiency and robustness of the algorithm.Active power correction is solved by means of a sparse lower triangular and upper triangular(LU) decomposition algorithm with partial pivoting,and the reactive power correction is solved by means of restarted generalized minimal residual algorithm with an incomplete LU pre-conditioner.Typical distribution generation models and distribution load models are included.The impact of zero-impedance branches is explicitly modeled through reconfiguring of the adjacent branches with impedances.Numerical examples on a sample distribution system with widespread photovoltaic installations are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 相似文献

Unconventional pretreatment, that is, delignification and the addition of guanidine phosphate, was performed for the synthesis of activated carbon having a high specific surface area from bamboo by physical activation. The values of the specific surface area, total pore volume, and average pore size depended on the amount of added guanidine phosphate and the CO2 activation time. The amount of the added guanidine phosphate under the optimum conditions for the highest specific surface area was much lower than that of the phosphorous acid chemical activator under conventional conditions. The N2 adsorption isotherms of all the samples were type I, which means that micropores were dominant. The pore sizes of the samples in this study were similar to that of the physically-activated carbon. Therefore, the activation process was presumed to be essentially not chemical, but physical. The relation between the yield and the specific surface area improved with the addition of guanidine phosphate. The reason for the improvement may be the change in the reactivity of the carbon material generated during the heating process. The maximum specific surface area was ca. 2000 m2 g?1, which is a high value for a physically-activated carbon. 相似文献

Unused power domains can be powered down to reduce the leakage power. Partial clock activation scheme especially focused on music playback scene dynamically stops a PLL and clock trees when not necessary and reduces power consumption from 33.6 mW to 19.6 mW. IP-MMU translates virtual address to physical address for 18 hardware-IPs and virtual address space can be allocated when necessary and can be freed after its operation, reducing external memory by 43 MB. This paper describes the results of experiments and simulations made to examine the waveform of leakage current flowing through the surface of HTV (high temperature vulcanized) silicone rubber specimen exposed to clean fog. Water droplets were placed on the surface of specimen energized with AC voltage and investigations of the surface state were done by a high-speed video camera in a wet condition produced by sprayed clean fog. Simultaneously, according to the experimental condition, a dynamic 3-D model was built to calculate the electric field and current density distribution on the specimen surface by a finite element software. A conducting water layer is formed due to the deformation of droplets and the development of dry band arcing. This caused large distortion and nonlinearly which increased the odd harmonic components in the leakage current waveform. This is in good agreement with the simulating calculation. The information from the leakage current frequency characteristic was extracted and correlated with the insulation surface condition. It can be considered as a diagnostic index for electrical characteristics and insulation state of polymer insulators in the wet condition. 相似文献

This paper discusses robust seeking control of hard disk drives by the use of a variable structure multi-rate estimator (VSME). Compensation of pivot nonlinearity is one concern in the design of the seeking control, systems. Pivot nonlinearity is subject to uncertainties, and is difficult to deal with by a linear controller. The VSME estimates a class of uncertain disturbances and nonlinearities and yields compensation current through the linear feedback gain, which reduces the residual vibration and error during settling. Several experiments were carried out on several drives including a 3.5 in. 7,200 rpm drive. These experiments confirmed that the off-track probability after settling, which is defined by the number of seek failures over all trials, is much reduced to less than 1% when the drive is operated under a special temperature condition that increases pivot nonlinearity while the corresponding performance of a conventional linear controller is 12%. The seek failure is defined as the case when the position cannot be maintained within ±2.5% of a track pitch for a certain duration after track seeking mode. 相似文献
