We propose algorithms for the synthesis of state-feedback controllers with partial observation of infinite state discrete event systems modelled by Symbolic Transition Systems. We provide models of safe memoryless controllers both for potentially deadlocking and deadlock free controlled systems. The termination of the algorithms solving these problems is ensured using abstract interpretation techniques which provide an overapproximation of the transitions to disable. We then extend our algorithms to controllers with memory and to online controllers. We also propose improvements in the synthesis of controllers in the finite case which, to our knowledge, provide more permissive solutions than what was previously proposed in the literature. Our tool SMACS gives an empirical validation of our methods by showing their feasibility, usability and efficiency.  相似文献

Three studies tested the idea that when social identity is salient, group-based appraisals elicit specific emotions and action tendencies toward out-groups. Participants' group memberships were made salient and the collective support apparently enjoyed by the in-group was measured or manipulated. The authors then measured anger and fear (Studies 1 and 2) and anger and contempt (Study 3), as well as the desire to move against or away from the out-group. Intergroup anger was distinct from intergroup fear, and the inclination to act against the out-group was distinct from the tendency to move away from it. Participants who perceived the in-group as strong were more likely to experience anger toward the out-group and to desire to take action against it. We study here the computation of shallow-water equations with topography by Finite Volume methods, in a one-dimensional framework (though all methods introduced may be naturally extended in two dimensions). All methods are based on a discretisation of the topography by a piecewise function constant on each cell of the mesh, from an original idea of Le Roux et al. Whereas the Well-Balanced scheme of Le Roux is based on the exact resolution of each Riemann problem, we consider here approximate Riemann solvers. Several single step methods are derived from this formalism, and numerical results are compared to a fractional step method. Some test cases are presented: convergence towards steady states in subcritical and supercritical configurations, occurrence of dry area by a drain over a bump and occurrence of vacuum by a double rarefaction wave over a step. Numerical schemes, combined with an appropriate high-order extension, provide accurate and convergent approximations.  相似文献

A novel integrated thermal management solution is proposed to alleviate hot spots in a contemporary 3D IC architecture. The solution employs a series of integrated microchannels, interconnected through each stratum by through silicon fluidic vias (TSFVs), and permits the transfer of heat, via a coolant, from hot to cold zones. This microfluidic system is driven by an integrated AC electrokinetic pump embedded in the channel walls. Recent advancements in electrokinetic micropump technology have allowed greater increases in fluid velocity (mm/s) while operating within the voltage constraints of a 3D IC. This paper presents a 2D simulation of an electrokinetic micropump operating at Vpp = 1.5 V in a 40 μm channel and examines its velocity profile for six frequencies in the range 100 ≤ ω ≤ 100 MHz. An optimum frequency of 100 kHz was established within this range and this was further examined with a constant heat flux of 186 W/cm2 imposed on the wall for an inlet fluid temperature of 40°C. Temperature profiles are presented at the channel-silicon interface and compared with theory.  相似文献

Action Recognition Using a Bio-Inspired Feedforward Spiking Network   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
We propose a bio-inspired feedforward spiking network modeling two brain areas dedicated to motion (V1 and MT), and we show how the spiking output can be exploited in a computer vision application: action recognition. In order to analyze spike trains, we consider two characteristics of the neural code: mean firing rate of each neuron and synchrony between neurons. Interestingly, we show that they carry some relevant information for the action recognition application. We compare our results to Jhuang et al. (Proceedings of the 11th international conference on computer vision, pp. 1–8, 2007) on the Weizmann database. As a conclusion, we are convinced that spiking networks represent a powerful alternative framework for real vision applications that will benefit from recent advances in computational neuroscience.  相似文献

This paper presents the TGV tool, which allows for the automatic synthesis of conformance test cases from a formal specification of a (non-deterministic) reactive system. TGV was developed by Irisa Rennes and Verimag Grenoble, with the support of the Vasy team of Inria Rhônes-Alpes. The paper describes the main elements of the underlying testing theory, which is based on a model of transitions system which distinguishes inputs, outputs and internal actions, and is based on the concept of conformance relation. The principles of the test synthesis process, as well as the main algorithms, are explained. We then describe the main characteristics of the TGV tool and refer to some industrial experiments that have been conducted to validate the approach. As a conclusion, we describe some ongoing work on test synthesis.  相似文献

Emergency readmission is seen as an important part of the United Kingdom government policy to improve the quality of care that patients receive. In this context, patients and the public have the right to know how well different health organizations are performing. Most methods for profiling estimate the expected numbers of adverse outcomes (e.g. readmission, mortality) for each organization. A number of statistical concerns have been raised, such as the differences in hospital sizes and the unavailability of relevant data for risk adjustment. Having recognized these statistical concerns, a new framework known as the multilevel transition model is developed. Hospital specific propensities of the first, second and further readmissions are considered to be measures of performance, where these measures are used to define a new performance index. During the period 1997 and 2004, the national (English) hospital episodes statistics dataset comprise more than 5 million patient readmissions. Implementing a multilevel model using the complete population dataset could possibly take weeks to estimate the parameters. To resolve the problem, we extract 1000 random samples from the original data, where each random sample is likely to lead to differing hospital performance measures. For computational efficiency a Grid implementation of the model is developed. Analysing the output from the full 1000 sample, we noticed that 4 out of the 5 worst performing hospitals treating cancer patients were in London. These hospitals are known to be the leading NHS Trusts in England, providing diverse range of services to complex patients, and therefore it is inevitable to expect higher numbers of emergency readmissions.  相似文献
