The beam deflection phenomenon of a transverse-flow discharge-excited CO2 gas laser is studied by measuring the beam pattern with the rotating-wire method at gas velocities of 35-70 m/s, gas pressures of 5.3-10.6 kPa (103 N/m2), and laser powers of 50-700 W. The beam deflection distance increased with increasing laser power and gas pressure and with decreasing gas velocity. All the data points of beam deflection distances observed experimentally fell on one line when normalized by the gas pressure and plotted against the measured temperature gradient in the resonator. It is shown that the most important factor affecting the beam deflection is the refractive index variation of the gas produced by the gas temperature gradient in the resonator. Methods to reduce the beam-deflection distances are suggested  相似文献

In order to examine the production mechanism of the midsystolic click in cases of a midsystolic click and a late systolic murmur, the relationship between the click and the motion of the mitral apparatus was studied by means of ultrasono-cardiotomography and the simultaneous recording of phonocardiograms and ultrasono-cardiograms (UCGs). It was found that the systolic click occurred in exact coincidence with the time at which the hump of the echo of the unusual early systolic anterior motion (early SAM) took its backmost position. This coincidence was found when the click was shifted either by postural changes or inhalation of amyl nitrite. The present ultrasono-cardiotomographic study demonstrated that the echo source of the early SAM could be attributed to the protrusion into the left ventricular outflow tract of the slackened elongated chordae tendineae in systole. The anterior leaflet moved suddenly to the position of maximal prolapse when the slackened chordae tendineae were stretched taut in midsystole. In other words, the midsystolic click occurred when the anterior leaflet prolapsed and the tension exerted on the chordae tendineae was at its maximum.  相似文献

The level of serotonin (5-HT) was increased in the whole rat brain as well as in the hypothalamus plus midbrain region at 0.5 hr after the fifth or sixth daily dose of delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), 20.0 mg/kg, i.p., respectively. A decreased rate of 5-HT synthesis was also observed. A slight development of tolerance was indicated by the fact that elevation of 5-HT was smaller than that seen after a single dose (1).  相似文献

Toughened polymers were prepared by adding CTBN rubbers to DGEBA-type epoxy resins. Structure was varied by altering the type and concentration of hardener, the initial molecular weight of the resin, the amount of Bisphenol A added, and the conditions of cure. Electron microscopy showed that these factors affected both particle size and degree of phase separation: rapid curing inhibited phase separation, and produced small particles. Increasing the molecular weight of the resin, either directly or by reaction with Bisphenol A, improved phase separation. Dynamic mechanical measurements of rubber phase volume proved possible, although Tg of the CTBN rubber coincided with a β process in the epoxy resin. Fracture resistance, measured by GIC, increased linearly with rubber phase volume. Creep and yield behaviour were also affected by the degree of phase separation.  相似文献

Mitochondrial DNA polymerase was purified 2300-fold over isolated mitochondria from rat liver. Template-primer specificities of this enzyme were investigated. Activated DNA was satisfactorily used as an active template-primer, but both native and denatured DNAs showed a slight activity. Synthetic polynucleotide, poly(dA) - oligo(dT)10 was found to have a high efficiency under the same condition for activated DNA. When the closed-circular, nicked and gapped Co1E1 DNAs were employed as a template-primer, the enzyme could only utilize the gapped DNA, indicating that the displacement synthesis was not catalyzed by the enzyme itself. The enzyme also copied poly(A) - oligo(dT)10 in high efficiency at pH 7.5 in the presence of MnCl2. Such RNA-directed DNA polymerase activity of the enzyme was further characterized. Cofractionated endouclease activity was completely separated from the enzyme by glycerol gradient centrifugation.  相似文献

Analog transmission using laser diodes is quite attractive for transmitting multiplexed video signals, owing to the wide modulation bandwidth of laser diodes. Optimizations for transmitting color-TV signals (7 channel frequency division multiplexed) in the VHF band using buried heterostructure laser diodes are investigated. The major transmission objectives are a carrier to noise ratio of larger than 48 dB and intermodulation products of less than -55 dB. Design curves for minimizing distortion at the transmitter are demonstrated. A modulation index of 70 percent is shown to be capable of attaining the objective. Both the avalanche photodiode (APD) and the pinphotodiode (PD) are considered for use in the receiving amplifier. Minimum receiving power of -11 dBm obtained with the PD receiver is in good agreement with theoretical values. Deterioration of signal to noise ratio due to fiber guided transmissions is also reviewed in comparison with aerial transmissions.  相似文献
