Phosphorus (P) deficiency is one of the most important constraints to food production, particularly in tropical Oxisols. This study aimed to characterize the inorganic and organic P (Pi and Po) fractions in the soil in three smallholding coffee cultivation fields managed under either agroforestry (AGF) or full sun (FSC) agroecosystems. The work was carried out in areas situated at the municipalities of Divino and Araponga in the Zona da Mata in the state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil. Soil P forms including H2O–Pi; NaHCO3–Pi,Po; NaOH–Pi,Po; diluted HCl–Pi; concentrate HCl–Pi,Po and Residual-P were sequentially extracted in samples from 0 to 5 and 5 to 10-cm soil layers. Together, H2O–Pi and NaHCO3–Pi accounted on average for only 4% of soil total P in the cultivated soils. HClconc.-Pi ranged from 142.8 to 372.4 mg kg−1 being the predominant Pi fraction. AGF systems promoted an increment of 8% in the NaHCO3–Po fraction in relation to the FSC systems in the upper soil layer. The AGF systems increased HClconc.-Po pool in relation to the FSC systems in Divino and Araponga(I) soils, indicating that agroforestry is an important management strategy to increase bioavailable P and for the maintenance of organic P pool. The distribution of inorganic and organic P pools varied among the different study sites, showing that P cycling depends on the inherent characteristic of each agroecosystem. The availability of P to plants in coffee-agroforestry fields is directly associated with the cycling of the organic P pool.  相似文献

Mechanical properties (tensile, flexural, impact, and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis) of novolac type phenolic composites reinforced with jute/cotton hybrid woven fabrics were investigated as a function of fiber orientation and roving/fabric characteristics. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was carried out to investigate the fiber‐matrix adhesion. Results showed that the composite properties are strongly influenced by test direction and rovings/fabric characteristics. The anisotropy degree was shown to increase with test angle and to strongly depend on the type/architecture of fabric used, i.e., jute rovings diameter, relative fiber content, etc. It was possible to obtain composites with higher mechanical properties and lower anisotropy degree by producing cross‐ply laminates. Best overall mechanical properties were obtained for the composites tested along the jute rovings direction. Composites tested at 45° and 90° with respect to the jute roving direction exhibited a controlled brittle failure combined with a successive fiber pullout, while those tested in the longitudinal direction (0°) exhibited a catastrophic failure mode. Our results indicate that jute promotes a higher reinforcing effect and cotton avoids catastrophic failure. In this work two face milling cutter systems were used in high speed cutting of gray cast iron under cutting condition encountered in the shop floor. The first system, called ‘A’, has 24 Si3N4 ceramic inserts all with square wiper edges. The second system, called ‘B’, is a mixed tool material system, having 24 wiper inserts, 20 of them are Si3N4 intercalated by four PCBN inserts. Cutting speed (vc), depth of cut (doc) and feed rate per tooth (fz) were kept constant. Surface roughness (Ra and Rt) and waviness (Wt), tool life (based on flank wear, VBBmax) and burr formation (length of the burr, h) were the parameters considered to compare the two systems. System ‘B’ presented better performance according to all parameters, although only end of life criterion based on Rt parameter has been reached.  相似文献

Copper and tin were electrodeposited on platinum substrates from a 1.0 M sulphuric acid plating bath in the presence and absence of tartrate. Voltammetric curves indicated two deposition processes, at –0.310 and –0.640 V, which do not shift upon addition of tartrate to the plating bath. The presence of tartrate decreased the current density in the region of the more cathodic process. The metals were electrodeposited at both deposition potentials and the deposits have the same proportions of copper and tin either with or without tartrate in the plating bath, as observed by AAS. X-ray spectra suggested that a mixture of Cu and -Cu6Sn5 alloy was deposited at the less cathodic potential. SEM analysis showed that tartrate affects the morphology of the films.  相似文献

Procymidone, a potentially carcinogenic and mutagenic pesticide, can contribute to environmental and human contamination when applied to apple crops. In this work, we propose a reliable and sensitive method to determine procymidone in Brazilian apples. The method involves differential pulse (DPV) and square-wave voltammetry (SWV) techniques on a glassy carbon electrode. In a supporting electrolyte solution of 0.5 mol?L?1 NaOH, procymidone undergoes an irreversible one-electron oxidation at +1.42 V by cyclic voltammetric vs. Ag|AgCl, KCl 3 M reference electrode. The proposed DPV and SWV methods have a good linear response in the 8.00–20.0 mg?L?1 range, with limits of detection (LOD) of 0.678 and 0.228 mg?L?1, respectively, in the absence of the matrix. We obtained improved LOD (0.097 mg?L?1) in the presence of apple matrix and the supporting electrolyte solution. We used three commercial apple samples to evaluate recovery, and we achieved recovery percentages ranging from 94.6 to 110 % for procymidone determinations. We also tested the proposed voltammetric method for reproducibility, repeatability, and potential interferents, and the results were satisfactory for electroanalytical purposes.  相似文献

The ingestion of probiotic lactic acid bacteria has been evaluated and noted that it has an effect on the balance of desirable microbiota in the gastrointestinal tract. Lactobacillus gasseri demonstrates good survival in the gastrointestinal tract, and it has been associated with a variety of probiotic activities and roles, including the reduction of fecal mutagenic enzymes, the production of bacteriocins and the stimulation of macrophages immunomodulation. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effects of a pool of L. gasseri strains isolated from the feces of breastfed infants added in the human milk of healthy women. The milk was both pasteurized and unpasteurized, to verify the cell cytotoxicity of macrophages and to quantify the production of immunologic mediators such as IL-4, IL-6, IFN-γ, TNF-α, NO and oxygen intermediary compounds (H2O2). The administration of raw human milk and pasteurized human milk to infants is a regular, encouraged practice in units of intensive therapy (UITs) and our present investigation verified the beneficial effect of addition of a pool of L. gasseri to pasteurized human milk (PHML). Our results show that probiotic supplementation helped to maintain cell viability, reduced IL-6 and IFN-γ production and stimulated TNF-α, NO, H2O2, IL-4 production. Nevertheless, the results indicate that the addition of lactobacillus to human milk was not a determinant in the production of TNF-α. L. gasseri added to breast milk did not present a cytotoxic risk, and the addition ofL. gasseri to pasteurized milk of human milk bank would benefit newborns that depend on milk banks for the colonization of more desirable microbiota.  相似文献

The co-fermentation of vinasse and cheese whey (CW) was evaluated in this study by using two thermophilic (55° C) anaerobic fluidized bed reactors (AFBRs). In AFBR using vinasse and CW (AFBR-V-CW), the CW was added in increasing proportions (2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 g COD.L?1) to vinasse (10 g COD.L?1) to assess the advantage of adding CW to vinasse. By decreasing the hydraulic retention time (HRT) from 8 h to 1 h in AFBR-V, maximum hydrogen yield (HY), production rate (HPR), and H2 content (H2%) of 1.01 ± 0.06 mmol H2.g COD?1, 2.54 ± 0.39 L H2.d?1.L?1, and 47.3 ± 2.9%, respectively, were observed at an HRT of 6 h. The increase in CW concentration to values over 2 g COD.L?1 in AFBR-V-CW decreased the HY, PVH, and H2%, with observed maximum values of 0.82 ± 0.07 mmol H2.g COD?1, 1.41 ± 0.24 L H2.d?1.L?1, and 55.5 ± 3.7%, respectively, at an HRT of 8 h. The comparison of AFBR-V-CW and AFBR-V showed that the co-fermentation of vinasse with 2 g COD.L?1 of CW increased the HPR, H2%, and HY by 117%, 68%, and 82%, respectively.  相似文献
