Virtual exploration tools for large indoor environments (e.g. museums) have so far been limited to either blueprint-style 2D maps that lack photo-realistic views of scenes, or ground-level image-to-image transitions, which are immersive but ill-suited for navigation. On the other hand, photorealistic aerial maps would be a useful navigational guide for large indoor environments, but it is impossible to directly acquire photographs covering a large indoor environment from aerial viewpoints. This paper presents a 3D reconstruction and visualization system for automatically producing clean and well-regularized texture-mapped 3D models for large indoor scenes, from ground-level photographs and 3D laser points. The key component is a new algorithm called “inverse constructive solid geometry (CSG)” for reconstructing a scene with a CSG representation consisting of volumetric primitives, which imposes powerful regularization constraints. We also propose several novel techniques to adjust the 3D model to make it suitable for rendering the 3D maps from aerial viewpoints. The visualization system enables users to easily browse a large-scale indoor environment from a bird’s-eye view, locate specific room interiors, fly into a place of interest, view immersive ground-level panorama views, and zoom out again, all with seamless 3D transitions. We demonstrate our system on various museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City—one of the largest art galleries in the world. 相似文献

When objects undergo large pose change, illumination variation or partial occlusion, most existing visual tracking algorithms tend to drift away from targets and even fail to track them. To address the issue, in this paper we propose a multi-scale patch-based appearance model with sparse representation and provide an efficient scheme involving the collaboration between multi-scale patches encoded by sparse coefficients. The key idea of our method is to model the appearance of an object by different scale patches, which are represented by sparse coefficients with different scale dictionaries. The model exploits both partial and spatial information of targets based on multi-scale patches. Afterwards, a similarity score of one candidate target is input into a particle filter framework to estimate the target state sequentially over time in visual tracking. Additionally, to decrease the visual drift caused by frequently updating model, we present a novel two-step object tracking method which exploits both the ground truth information of the target labeled in the first frame and the target obtained online with the multi-scale patch information. Experiments on some publicly available benchmarks of video sequences showed that the similarity involving complementary information can locate targets more accurately and the proposed tracker is more robust and effective than others. 相似文献

Non-parametric classifier, Naive Bayes nearest neighbor, is designed with no training phase, and its performance outperforms many well-trained learning-based image classifiers. Unfortunately, despite its high accuracy, it suffers from great computational pressure from distance computations in space of local feature. This paper explores accelerating strategies from perspectives of both algorithm design and software development. Our approach integrates space decomposition capability of Product quantization (PQ) and parallel accelerating capability of underlying computational platform, Graphics processing unit (GPU). PQ is exploited to compress the indexed local features and prune the search space. GPU is used to ease most of computational pressure by processing the tasks in parallel. To achieve good parallel efficiency, a new sequential classification process is first designed and decomposed into independent components with high parallelism. Effective parallelization techniques are then presented to make use of computational resources. Parallel heap array is built to accelerate the process of feature quantization. Distance table lookup is built to speed up the process of feature search. Comparative experiments on UIUC-Sport dataset demonstrate that our integrated solution outperforms other implementations significantly on Core-quad Intel Core i7 950 CPU and GPU of NVIDIA Geforce GTX460. Scalability experiment on 80 million tiny images database shows that our approach still performs well when large-scale image database is explored. 相似文献

In this paper, we propose some improvements that enhance the optimization ability of quantum-behaved particle swarm optimization algorithms. First, we propose an encoding approach based on qubits described on the Bloch sphere. In our approach, each particle contains three groups of Bloch coordinates of qubits, and all three groups of coordinates are regarded as approximate solutions describing the optimization result. Our approach updates the particles using the rotation of qubits about an axis on the Bloch sphere. This updating approach can simultaneously adjust two parameters of qubits, and can automatically achieve the best matching of two adjustments. To avoid premature convergence, the mutation is performed with Hadamard gates. The optimization process is performed in the n-dimensional hypercube space [?1,1] n , so the proposed approach can be easily adapted to a variety of optimization problems. 以尿素为沉淀剂,采用缓慢滴加方式,用均匀沉淀法制备了纳米棒状氧化铁红。考察了Fe^2+浓度、反应时间、反应温度、尿素与Fe^2+物质的量比等因素对产品粒径、形貌及收率的影响,并用TG,XRD,IR,UV-VIS,TEM等对样品进行了表征。确定了制备纳米棒状氧化铁红的最佳工艺条件:Fe^2+浓度为0.50 mol/L,反应时间为180 min,反应温度为80℃,尿素与Fe^2+物质的量比为20∶1,在此条件下制得前驱体,将前驱体在350℃下煅烧2 h,即可得到纳米棒状氧化铁红。样品的XRD,TEM表征结果为六方晶系的纳米棒状α-Fe2O3,其长轴约为300-500 nm,短轴约为20-40 nm,产品收率为75.90%,颜色为鲜红色,含质量分数5%样品的清漆对紫外线具有很好的吸收性能,而对可见光具有良好的透明性,其透光率在85%以上,可作为透明氧化铁红颜料使用。 相似文献
