In this paper, we propose three adaptive blind algorithms for multiuser multicarrier code division multiple‐access systems in multipath fading channels. The proposed adaptive blind receivers are based on the property of the discreteness of the input data symbol and are updated in every symbol interval. We also use the concept that the variance of the output signal approaches to the variance of the desired signal to get the cost function. The three proposed receiver structures are the traditional finite impulse response (FIR) structure, the despreading (DES) filter structure and the generalized sidelobe canceller (GSC) structure. The advantage of the FIR filter is that the length of the filter weights does not have to be the same length as the spreading code. For the DES filter, the combination of the adaptive weight and the despreading code has the simplest structure than the other two proposed receiver structures. The constrained GSC filter is superior to the other two proposed receiver structures in the environments dominated by multiple‐access interference. By this constraint, the blind GSC filter can guarantee to converge to the desired solution. A utility‐based distributed data routing algorithm is proposed and evaluated for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks. It is energy efficient and is based on a game‐theoretic heuristic load‐balancing approach. It runs on a hierarchical graph arranged as a tree with parents and children. Sensor nodes are considered heterogeneous in terms of their generated traffic, residual energy and data transmission rate and the bandwidth they provide to their children for communication. The proposed method generates a data routing tree in which child nodes are joined to parent nodes in an energy‐efficient way. The principles of the Stackelberg game, in which parents as leaders and children as followers, are used to support the distributive nature of sensor networks. In this context, parents behave cooperatively and help other parents to adjust their loads, while children act selfishly. Simulation results indicate the proposed method can produce on average more load‐balanced trees, resulting in over 30% longer network lifetime compared with the cumulative algorithm proposed in the literature. The paper presents a quantitative approach to the investigation and comparison of the material qualities of III–V on silicon (III–V/Si) solar cells by using external radiative efficiencies. We use this analysis to predict the limiting efficiencies and evaluate the criteria of material quality in order to achieve high‐efficiency III–V/Si solar cells. Stretchable conductive fibers have received significant attention due to their possibility of being utilized in wearable and foldable electronics. Here, highly stretchable conductive fiber composed of silver nanowires (AgNWs) and silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) embedded in a styrene–butadiene–styrene (SBS) elastomeric matrix is fabricated. An AgNW‐embedded SBS fiber is fabricated by a simple wet spinning method. Then, the AgNPs are formed on both the surface and inner region of the AgNW‐embedded fiber via repeated cycles of silver precursor absorption and reduction processes. The AgNW‐embedded conductive fiber exhibits superior initial electrical conductivity (σ0 = 2450 S cm?1) and elongation at break (900% strain) due to the high weight percentage of the conductive fillers and the use of a highly stretchable SBS elastomer matrix. During the stretching, the embedded AgNWs act as conducting bridges between AgNPs, resulting in the preservation of electrical conductivity under high strain (the rate of conductivity degradation, σ/σ0 = 4.4% at 100% strain). The AgNW‐embedded conductive fibers show the strain‐sensing behavior with a broad range of applied tensile strain. The AgNW reinforced highly stretchable conductive fibers can be embedded into a smart glove for detecting sign language by integrating five composite fibers in the glove, which can successfully perceive human motions.  相似文献

The digital video broadcasting‐handheld (DVB‐H) standard is developed by European Telecommunications Standards Institute to broadcast digital videos to handheld devices, but data loss is a critical issue due to the broadcast behavior. On the other hand, DVB‐Internet protocol datacasting (DVB‐IPDC) integrates DVB‐H with an Internet protocol‐based wireless network to provide bidirectional communication. We adopt this wireless network to deal with data retransmission and call it a recovery network. The paper argues that network coding can improve retransmission efficiency of the recovery network because DVB‐H packet loss often exhibits high correlation. In addition, DVB‐H packets may be heterogeneous in the sense that they have different importance. According to these two arguments, the paper considers that DVB‐H packets are associated with different profit depending on their importance and proposes an αmaximum profit network coding problem. It asks the base station in the recovery network to use no more than α coded packets for handheld devices to retrieve the lost DVB‐H packets such that the overall profit is the maximum. An efficient exclusive‐or coding scheme, namely the profit‐based exclusive‐or network coding (PEN) algorithm, is proposed to solve this problem. In this paper, we present novel high‐speed transmission schemes for high‐speed ultra‐high frequency (UHF) radio‐frequency identification communication. For high‐speed communication, tags communicate with a reader using a high‐speed Miller (HS‐Miller) encoding and multiple antennas, and a reader communicates with tags using extended pulse‐interval encoding (E‐PIE). E‐PIE can provide up to a two‐fold faster data rate than conventional pulse‐interval encoding. Using HS‐Miller encoding and orthogonal multiplexing techniques, tags can achieve a two‐ to three‐fold faster data rate than Miller encoding without degrading the demodulation performance at a reader. To verify the proposed transmission scheme, the MATLAB/Simulink model for high‐speed backscatter based on an HS‐Miller modulated subcarrier has been designed and simulated. The simulation results show that the proposed transmission scheme can achieve more than a 3 dB higher BER performance in comparison to a Miller modulated subcarrier.  相似文献

Herein, a simple and facile strategy is described to obtain chiroptically active semiconductor thin films by blending of poly(3‐alkylthiophene)s, which are conventional achiral polymer semiconductors, and 1,1′‐binaphthyl (BN), a versatile chiral molecule. As expected, the intermolecular interaction between the two materials is important to extend the chirality of the binaphthyl molecules to the hybrid films. The controlled phase separation and crystallization of poly[3‐(6‐carboxyhexyl)thiophene‐2,5‐diyl] (P3CT) and binaphthyl hybrid films result in unique heterojunction bilayer thin‐film structures that consisted of BN microcrystals at the top and a P3CT/BN mixed layer at the bottom. Such heterojunction bilayer films exhibit significantly amplified chiroptical response with weak broadened tails, which is due to the enhanced crystallization of the chiral BN molecules and formation of heteroaggregates in the hybrid films. Based on the characterization of crystalline structure and photoluminescence analysis, it is found that new electronic energy states are formed in the conduction band region of P3CTs in the P3CT/BN heteroaggregates, which contribute to chirality transfer from BN to the hybrid films. As a proof of concept, a photodiode capable of distinguishably sensing the left‐ and right‐handed circularly polarized light is successfully fabricated by using the hybrid films with the heterojunction bilayer structure.  相似文献

Polarization‐sensitive photodetection in the UV region is highly indispensable in many military and civilian applications. UV‐polarized photodetection usually relies on the use of wide bandgap semiconductors with 1D nanostructures requiring complicated nanofabrication processes. Although the emerging anisotropic 2D semiconductors shed light on the detection of polarization with a simple device architecture, bandgaps of such reported 2D semiconductors are too small to be applied for visible–blind UV‐polarized photodetection. Here, germanium disulfide (GeS2), the widest bandgap (>3 eV) in the family of in‐plane anisotropic 2D semiconductors explored to date, is introduced as an ideal candidate for UV‐polarized photodetection. The structural, vibrational, and optical anisotropies of GeS2 are systematically investigated from theory to experiment. GeS2‐based photodetectors show a strong polarization‐dependent photoresponse in the UV region. GeS2 with a wide bandgap and high in‐plane anisotropy not only enriches the family of anisotropic 2D semiconductors but also expands the polarized photodetection from the current visible and near‐infrared to the brand‐new UV region.  相似文献

Magnetic materials with a non‐collinear and non‐coplanar arrangement of magnetic moments hosting a nonzero scalar spin‐chirality exhibit unique magnetic and spin‐dependent electronic transport properties. The spin chirality often occurs in materials where competing exchange interactions lead to geometrical frustrations between magnetic moments and to a strong coupling between the crystal lattice and the magnetic structure. These characteristics are particularly strong in Mn‐based antiperovskites where the interactions and chirality can be tuned by substitutional modifications of the crystalline lattice. This study presents evidence for the formation of two unequal chiral spin states in magnetically ordered Mn3.338Ni0.651N antiperovskite based on density functional theory calculations and supported by magnetization measurements after cooling in a magnetic field. The existence of two scalar spin‐chiralities of opposite sign and different magnitude is demonstrated by a vertical shift of the magnetic‐field dependent magnetization and Hall effect at low fields and from an asymmetrical magnetoresistivity when the applied magnetic field is oriented parallel or antiparallel to the direction of the cooling field. This opens up the possibility of manipulating the spin chirality for potential use in the emerging field of chiral spintronics.  相似文献

Owing to the nonleakage and incombustibility, solid electrolytes are crucial for solving the safety issues of rechargeable lithium batteries. In this work, a new class of solid electrolyte, acceptor‐doped LiTaSiO5, is designed and synthesized based on the concerted migration mechanism. When Zr4+ is doped to the Ta5+ sites in LiTaSiO5, the high‐energy lattice sites are partly occupied by the introduced lithium ions, and the lithium ions at those sites interact with the lithium ions placed in the low‐energy sites, thereby favoring the concerted motion of lithium ions and lowering the energy barrier for ion transport. Therefore, the concerted migration of lithium ions occurs in Zr‐doped LiTaSiO5, and a 3D lithium‐ion diffusion network is established with quasi‐1D chains connected through interchain channels. The lithium‐ion occupation, as revealed by ab initio calculations, is validated by neutron powder diffraction. Zr‐doped LiTaSiO5 electrolytes are successfully synthesized; Li1.1Ta0.9Zr0.1SiO5 shows a conductivity of 2.97 × 10?5 S cm?1 at 25 °C, about two orders of magnitude higher than that of LiTaSiO5, and it increases to 3.11 × 10?4 S cm?1 at 100 °C. This work demonstrates the power of theory in designing new materials.  相似文献
