In this work we propose the implementation of boolean logic through artificial neurons with Ferroelectric Capacitor (FeCapacitor) as its basic unit on a reconfigurable hardware platform. Two neurons were implemented: the Perceptron and the Spiking Neuron model. Both neurons use the phenomenon of the hysteresis loop as an activation function and were embedded on a Field Gate Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware platform. The implementations were carried out by Simulink models and hardware synthesizable blocks from DSP Builder software and the results are shown in the form of the models and the boolean functions implemented by them.  相似文献

This paper investigates the visualization of geometric computing in heterogeneous distributed environments. We show how focusing in a well-defined domain makes it possible to develop a compact system that is accessible to even naive users. We present a conceptual model and a system, GASP-II, that realizes this model in the geometric domain. The system allows the presentation and interactive exploration of three-dimensional geometric algorithms over the network.  相似文献

Simira is a predominantly woody Neotropical genus comprising 41 taxa, 16 of which occur in Brazil and eight of them in the southeastern region of Brazil. Leaf blades of Simira eliezeriana Peixoto, S. glaziovii (K. Schum.) Steyerm., S. grazielae Peixoto, S. pikia (K. Schum.) Steyerm., S. rubra (Mart.) Steyerm., S. sampaioana (Standl.) Steyerm. were collected in the southeastern region of Brazil and fixed according to usual methods for light and electron microscopy. The leaf blades show typical characteristics of the Rubiaceae family as dorsiventral mesophyll and paracytic stomata. The presence of two bundle sheaths that extend to the upper epidermal layer, prismatic crystal and crystal-sand, alkaloids in the mesophyll and the organization micromorphological of the outer periclinal wall are considered characteristics representative for the genus. This study also demonstrates some leaf blade characteristics that can be used to Simira species identification (leaf surface, domatia types, epicuticular wax types and patterns of epidermis anticlinal cell walls).  相似文献

Cell lines with high passage numbers exhibit alterations in cell morphology and functions. In thepresent work, C2C12 skeletal muscle cells with either low (<20) or high (>60) passage numbers (identified as lC2C12 or h-C2C12, respectively) were used to investigate the apoptotic response to H2O2 as a function ofculture age h-C2C12. We found that older cultures (h-C2C12 group) were depleted of mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA). When we analyzed the behavior of Bad, Bax, caspase-3 and mitochondrial transmembrane potential,we observed that cells in the h-C2C12 group were resistant to H2O2 induction of apoptosis. We propose seriallycultured C2C12 cells as a refractory model to H2O2-induced apoptosis. In addition, the data obtained in thiswork suggest that mtDNA is required for apoptotic cell death in skeletal muscle C2C12 cells.  相似文献

It is well known that conduction in YBa2Cu3O7 (YBCO) is by means of copper planes and chains, where planes and chains describe the degree of bonding between copper and oxygen. Changes of conductivity versus temperature have been used to show that conduction in YBCO in the normal state is 3-dimensional, while conduction approaching the onset of the superconducting state is first 2-dimensional and then 3-dimensional. We have found another method to monitor this 2-to-3 transition. Using square samples, and measuring the voltage at each corner caused by a current applied to the opposite corners, one can find the conductivities along the x-axis and the y-axis. The ratio of these conductivities is unity for homogeneous samples in the normal state. However, in transition to the superconducting state, the ratio of conductivities changes. We examine this change as a function of sample purity, sample history, and exposure to an external magnetic field. Our data are consistent with data reported in the literature, and they suggest the existence of another state change deep in the superconducting state, which is only observable with the application of a magnetic field.Measurements were also carried out to correlate the anisotropy with sample porosity. Measurements of normal state resistivity, critical temperature, and critical current characterize the sample's porosity, and these data affect the anisotropy in the superconducting state in a manner directly proportional to the porosity.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

This work aimed to evaluate the antioxidant activity of Lentinus edodes and Agaricus blazei mushrooms, as well as to measure the content of total phenolic compounds of mushroom extracts and verify the oxidative stability of soybean oil added with mushroom extracts that showed higher antioxidant activity according to the methods of the 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging and the β‐carotene/linoleic acid system. According to the DPPH method, the maximum antioxidant activity for L. edodes and A. blazei methanol extracts was 92.84 and 95.10%, respectively. For the β‐carotene/linoleic acid system, the highest values of antioxidant activity were 93.06% for L. edodes and 78.96% for A. blazei. The content of total phenolic compounds ranged from 7.21 to 128.44 and 26.67 to 134.67 mg gallic acid equivalent/g for L. edodes and A. blazei, respectively. The oxidative stability values provided by the Rancimat method indicated that the two varieties presented similar induction period of 19.85 h.

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS

Mushrooms present high content of antioxidant compounds that are capable of reducing the harmful effects of free radicals. Among the antioxidants present in mushrooms, phenolic compounds stand out as phenolic acids, flavonoids and tocopherols. To decrease or prevent lipid oxidation, synthetic antioxidants are used as food additives. Nevertheless, studies have revealed that these compounds are likely to pose risks to human health. The concern regarding the safety of synthetic antioxidants has motivated the search of natural antioxidants that can substitute them totally or partially.

A 38.5 kDa alkaline protease from pyloric caeca of tambaqui (Colossoma macropomumj, a tropical freshwater fish, was partially purified in three steps: thermal treatment (45Cfor 30 min), salting‐out (ammonium sulfate at 40–80% of saturation) and gel filtration (Sephadex G‐75), The purification and yield were 51.2‐fold and 40%, respectively. The effects of pH, temperature, inhibitors, and substrates on proteolytic activities of partially purified enzyme were investigated. The optimum pH was 9.5, while the optimum temperature was 60C. This alkaline proteolytic activity remained unaltered after 30 min incubation at 55C. Active site inhibition provided additional evidence that this activity is attributed to a trypsin‐like enzyme.  相似文献

The proximate chemical composition, amino add and fatty add profile of bigeye grunt (Brachydeuterus auritus) and longfin bonefish (Pterothrissus belloci) minces were determined. Both minces contained a low fat content. Polyunsatu‐rated fatty adds represented more than 50% of the fatty adds in bigeye grunt but in the case of longfin bonefish the percentages of saturated, mono‐, and polyunsaturated were similar. The amino add profile of minces from these species was very similar. The preparation of salted minces using different drying methods is described. The chemical and physical characteristics of raw and dried salted minces as well as cooked products were measured. Dried salted minces from these species had high water uptake and cooked products presented a low salt content (1 %). Cooked rehydrated salted minces from longfin bonefish were lighter in color than those from bigeye grunt and color values were not significantly influenced by the salt level used in the preparation.  相似文献
