Internal carotid aneurysms in the ophthalmic area presents a challenge in cerebrovascular neurosurgery. The study was undertaken to provide evidence for the application of intravascular aspiration during direct surgical interventions and to outline their variants used at the N. N. Burdenko Institute of Neurosurgery. The study included 4 (3 females and 1 male) patients with large and giant internal carotid aneurysms of parasphenoidal site who were treated at the Institute. Clipping of the aneurysmal neck was made by employing intravascular blood aspiration from the aneurysm. The technique proved to be effective in proximal monitoring the carotid artery at surgery. It substantially reduced aneurysmal blood flow and wall tension, thus favouring aneurysmal dissection to make clipping.  相似文献

Experiments on rats demonstrated that the low-intensity electromagnetic field (12.6 cm, 2375 MHz, power density 1 mW/cm2), motion sickness, and electroconvulsive shock provoked the retrograde amnesia in the passive avoidance test. The oxyracetam (100 mg/kg, i.p.), aniracetam (50 mg/kg, i.p.), nooglutil (50 mg/kg, i.p.), meclofenoxate (50 mg/kg, i.p.), pyracetam (200 mg/kg, i.p.), and GABA (200 mg/kg, i.p) prevented the memory-impairing effect of all these extreme factors. On the contrary, the N-acetylglycinamide, semax, and other nootropic drugs were effective only under one or two extreme conditions.  相似文献

We studied the specificities of human red cell membrane bindings of three long chain fatty acids, palmitic- arachidonic- and oleic acid, using resealed membranes, ghosts. Previously estimated binding capacities, affinities and inside/outside distributions suggest separated binding sites. This possibility is explored by estimating the binding properties of one fatty acid in the presence of one or two of the others. Binding capacities, nmol g-1 ghosts, of palmitic and arachidonic acid estimated simultaneously vs. separately are 27.4 +/- 2.7 vs. 29.0 +/- 2.1 (P < 0.6) and 6.5 +/- 0.6 vs. 5.5 +/- 0.5 (P < 0.2) respectively. The corresponding estimates for oleic- and palmitic acid are 36.5 +/- 2.0 vs. 34.0 +/- 2.2 (P < 0.4) and 28.4 +/- 1.8 versus 29.1 +/- 2.1 (P < 0.8). The binding sites are therefore independent. For each of the three fatty acids in the absence or in the presence of one or two of the others, the inside/outside distributions of the binding sites and the membrane transfer rate constants are elucidated by exchange efflux kinetics at 0 degrees C from ghosts with and without enclosed albumin. Packed ghosts loaded with radioactive acids are injected rapidly into a large volume of vigorously stirred buffer with albumin. With a resolution time of about 1-sec serial filtered ghost-free aliquots are collected and counted. The analyses show that palmitic- and oleic acid sites of transport are entirely independent but do not exclude that palmitic- and/or oleic acid binding may diminish the arachidonic acid affinity a little. The diversity combined with specificity suggests that the transport sites for long chain fatty acids are protein-determined microdomains of phospholipids.  相似文献

In simulating acute hypoxic hypoxia with the participation of male volunteers, the authors investigated the antihypoxic and antioxidative activity of metabolic drugs (jakton, amtizole succinate, nootropil, probucol, and a mixture which consists of jakton, amtizole succinate, and probucol). The pharmaceuticals were shown to have heterodirectional effects on lipid peroxidative processes. Drugs having a pronounced antioxidative activity (such as probucol and the mixture) promotes oxygen utilization during hypoxia and posthypoxic reoxygenation chiefly by the oxygenase pathway. This rearrangement of oxygen utilization processes caused an increase in human high-altitude resistance. The use of the above drugs is a promising trend in the development of an adaptative response to hypoxia in persons engaged in hazardous jobs.  相似文献

The use of a recombinant poxvirus (RPV) strain, expressing HBsAg in the process of reproduction in different bioreactor systems under stationary and bioreactor conditions of cultivation, made it possible to obtain highly purified HBsAg. The identity and purity of HBsAg was confirmed by the analysis of its amino acid composition, SDS electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gel, electron microscopy and high-performance liquid chromatography. Good prospects of the use of RPV-expressed gene engineering HBsAg as the basis vaccines against hepatitis B was demonstrated in 10 experimental batches of vaccine. All batches of the preparation had pronounced immunogenicity and were safe and nontoxic in animal experiments. The ID50 of experimental batches did not exceed 211 ng/ml, which, according to the data of comparative experiments, was lower than, or equal to, corresponding values of analogous foreign commercial preparations, based on plasma or yeast HBsAg.  相似文献

A new model of the medical record is introduced which can incorporate context, structure, process and use of the medical record within a single narratological framework. It is claimed that the analysis of narrative and, in particular, the study of the story metaphor can provide a theoretical model which provides coherence within the broad discipline of Medical Informatics. It is argued that this framework maintains different levels of abstraction, is useful for teaching and clinical practice, and that its concepts can be readily understood by those in both lay and technical healthcare professions.  相似文献

Optic disc blood flow velocity was measured in healthy patients, those with primary open angle glaucoma (POAG), and patients with normal pressure glaucoma (NPG). The velocity of the red blood cells (RBCs) in the capillaries of the optic nerve head (ONH) has been measured with a laser Doppler velocimeter (LDV), and blood viscosity has been evaluated notably by determining the aggregability of the RBCs with an erythroaggregameter. Our results in POAG patients and NPG patients showed that their optic nerve blood flow velocity was reduced and that the aggregability of the RBCs was increased. The hyperaggregability of the erythrocytes is responsible for the increase of the local viscosity in the papillary capillary network. These haemodynamic modifications observed in patients with glaucoma support the hypothesis of a vasogenic mechanism that could impair the optic nerve in glaucoma patients.  相似文献
