The photocatalytic activity of cobalt tetrasulphophthalocyanine immobilized onto MCM-41 was investigated for photocatalytic degradation of 4-chlorophenol (4-CP) in aqueous solutions. Immobilization of cobalt tetrasulphophthalocyanine complex to the walls of MCM-41 was performed by pre-anchorage of 3-(aminopropyl)-triethoxysilane (APTES) onto MCM-41 via post-synthesis method. X-ray diffraction, nitrogen physisorption, diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray and FT-IR methods were used to characterize the product. Photocatalytic efficiency of the prepared photocatalyst for degradation of 4-CP was tested under illumination of UV-A and visible light. The reaction intermediates were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) technique.  相似文献

The characteristics of urea-formaldehyde (UF) adhesives condensed by catalysis with four different acids, namely formic (HCOOH), hydrochloric (HCl), phosphoric (H3PO4), and sulfuric (H2SO4) acids, under alkaline–acidic–alkaline conditions at a molar ratio F/U = 1.12 were studied. The thermal curing properties of UF adhesives catalyzed with acid were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry at 10 °C/min heating rate. The resin structure examined by 13C-NMR spectroscopy showed that the resin catalyzed with HCl had a lower proportion of methylol groups, resulting in a lower level of formaldehyde emission. It was interesting to note that HCOOH resulted in the best overall mechanical properties of the medium-density fiberboard (MDF) panels. The HCl catalyst resulted in the poorest performance, providing the lowest internal bond strength, modulus of elasticity, and thickness swelling, with the exception of the free formaldehyde content. The resin catalyzed with H2SO4 had the highest free formaldehyde and the highest formaldehyde emission. In the present study, multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were sulfonated by 1,3-propane sultone and distillation–precipitation polymerization, respectively, and then incorporated into chitosan (CS) to prepare CS/MWCNTs composite membranes for fuel cell applications. CS/MWCNTs membranes show better thermal and mechanical stability than pure CS membrane due to the strong electrostatic interaction between the  SO3H groups of MWCNTs and the  NH2 groups of CS, which can restrict the mobility of CS chain. The sulfonated MWCNTs provide efficient proton hopping sites ( SO3H,  SO3 …. 3+HN ), thereby resulting in the formation of continuous proton conducting channels. The composite membranes with 5 wt % of MWCNTs modified by two different ways show a proton conductivity of 0.026 and 0.025 S·cm−1, respectively. The aim of this article is to determine the effect of surface pretreatments, prior to the silanization, on the structure and tensile properties of the glass fibers and their epoxy composites. Commercial glass fibers were washed with acetone to remove the soluble portion of sizing, calcinated for the removal of organic matter, activated for surface silanol regeneration, and silanizated with glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPS). Tensile test was carried out. The morphology of pretreated glass fibers and the fracture surfaces of the epoxy composites were observed with a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results revealed that both apparent modulus and strength of a single glass fiber and the glass fiber/epoxy resin composites strongly depend on the fiber surface pretreatments. The acetone treatment did not change appreciably the composition and tensile properties of glass fibers, but there was a weak interface between fibers and matrix. In calcinated and acid activated fibers, the two competitive effects was observed: (1) degradation of the fibers themselves and (2) improved interfacial adhesion between the glass fibers and the epoxy matrix, once the samples was silanizated. The ATR‐FTIR results show that the surface content of Si OH increases as reflected by the increasing of the Si O band, resulting in an interaction between silane coupling agent and glass fiber. A new solvent-impregnated resin (SIR) was constructed using Amberlite XAD-2 and 3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid (3H2NA). The SIR was applied for stepwise extraction of Th(IV) and U(VI) from the coexistence ions dissolved in aqueous media at pHs of 3.0 and 7.0, respectively. The U(VI) and Th(IV) ions adsorbed on the minicolumn were consecutively eluted with 0.5 M and 4 M HCl solutions. They were then measured by Arsenazo III at their maximum absorption wavelengths. The characteristic parameters for the successful separation of these ions from the aqueous media were investigated. The SIR showed excellent reproducibility during the 800 subsequent extraction cycles.  相似文献

In order to improve the miscibility of poly(vinyl chloride)/polystyrene (PVC/PS) system and to use the prepared material as a membrane to separate benzene from benzene/cyclohexane mixture by pervaporation technique, two poly(styrene-co-N-vinylpyrrolidone) (PSVP) copolymers containing 6.67 and 13.55 mol% of N-vinylpyrrolidone (N-VP) contents were synthesized through a radical polymerization. A comparative study of the miscibility of the PVC/PSVP blends with different compositions was carried out using differential scanning calorimetry, viscosimetry and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy methods in which the interaction parameters between the two components were widely investigated. To improve the pervaporative flux of PVC membrane to separate benzene from benzene/cyclohexane mixture, a preliminary test of swelling and sorption was performed on PVC/PSVP7 membranes using an azeotropic benzene/cyclohexane mixture. It was revealed that the PVC/PSVP7 membrane containing 10 wt% of PSVP7 showed the best performance and the diffusion behaviour of this mixture through PVC and PVC/PCVP7 membranes has a Fickian behaviour. The pervaporation parameters of this membrane support those of the swelling and selective sorption data and reveal that this membrane could enhance the total flux without significantly affecting its selectivity to benzene.  相似文献

This paper reports for the first time, synthesis of NiCo2O4 nano spinel by green oxidative precipitation and its performance in photocatalytic desulfurization of dibenzothiophene (DBT) from gas oil model at different process conditions under visible light. The as-produced nanostructure was characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared, UV–VIS diffuse reflective spectroscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry and scanning electron microscopy. The experiments for the study of different photocatalytic conditions were designed by response surface methodology and a second-order regression model was developed with a determination coefficient (R2) of 0.9769. Pareto analysis predicted that the relative importance of process factors for DBT removal is as follows: irradiation time?>?reaction temperature?>?photocatalyst dosage?>?DBT concentration. The promising results for DBT removal were concluded by photo desulfurization over the nano spinel. The study confirmed that nano spinels could be an alternative and cheap photocatalyst for desulfurization from the oil products.  相似文献

The effect of laser fluence on the optical, structural and morphological properties of PbI2 nanoparticles NPs synthesized by pulsed laser ablation in ethanol was studied. The direct optical energy gap of PbI2 NPs prepared at various laser fluences was in the range of (3–3.3 eV) at room temperature. Three absorption peaks related to surface plasmon resonance at 337, 435 and 507 nm are observed. XRD results show that all the grown PbI2 NPs are polycrystalline in nature and the formation of hexagonal structure 2H-polytype was observed at laser fluence of 3.6 J/cm2. The surface morphology of PbI2 NPs investigated by SEM revealed formation of hexagonal, platelet-like and spherical NPs morphologies. TEM images showed formation of spherical particles with size varied from 10 to 75 nm depending on the laser fluence. PL measurement shows emission of broad peak centered at 350 nm and increasing the laser fluence results in red shift. The Raman spectra of PbI2 NPs revealed existence of five vibration modes situated at 74, 96,106, 169 and 213 per cm. FT-IR investigation showed a broad band at 3383 per cm indexed to symmetric stretching vibration of Pb–I clusters and band at 725 per cm related to bending mode of O–H.  相似文献

This study considers the feasibility of uptake of cephalexin, an emerging contaminant, from aqueous solutions by using green local montmorillonite (GLM), montmorillonite coated with ZnO (ZnO/GLM) and montmorillonite coated with TiO2 (TiO2/GLM) in the presence of H2O2. Batch adsorption experiments were carried out as a function of pH, initial concentration of the cephalexin, adsorbent dosage, contact time, and temperature. Finally, the adsorbents were characterized by XRD, SEM and FTIR analyses. XRD patterns showed dramatic changes in the adsorbents after loading with the nanoparticles, confirming successful placing of the nanoparticles onto GLM. The GLM mineral surface after nanoparticle loading appears to be fully exposed and more porous with irregular shapes in particles diameters of 1-50 microns. FTIR analyses also confirmed dramatic changes in surface functional groups after modification with these nanoparticles. The results showed that the removal efficiency of cephalexin was better at lower pH values. Totally, the removal efficiency increased with increase in adsorbent dosage and contact time and decreased with concentration and temperature increase. The thermodynamics values of ΔG o and ΔH o revealed that the adsorption process was spontaneous and exothermic. In isotherm study, the maximum adsorption capacities (qm) were obtained to be 7.82, 17.09 and 49.26 mg/g for GLM, ZnO/GLM and TiO2/GLM, respectively. Temkin constant (B T ) showed that adsorption of cephalexin from solution was exothermic for all three adsorbents.  相似文献
