In this paper thermal and structural analysis for 170 GHz, 1 MW gyrotron interaction cavity and the effect of structural deformation on beam wave interaction is presented. Finite element analysis codes ANSYS has been used for the thermal and structural analysis. Electromagnetic simulator-MAGIC, a Particle-in-Cell (PIC) code, has been used to carry out the effect of the radial expansion of the interaction cavity on beam wave interaction. The change in output power and resonant frequency for operating mode TE34,10 due to thermal expansion is 10 kW and 0.07 GHz, respectively. These values are under the tolerance limit of power and frequency of the gyrotron. The major variation is found in the power growth stability time.  相似文献

Generation of the 3′ overhang is a critical step during homologous recombination (HR) and replication fork rescue processes. This event is usually performed by a series of DNA nucleases and/or helicases. The nuclease NurA and the ATPase HerA, together with the highly conserved MRE11/RAD50 proteins, play an important role in generating 3′ single-stranded DNA during archaeal HR. Little is known, however, about HerA-NurA function and activation of this fundamental and complicated DNA repair process. Herein, we analyze the functional relationship among NurA, HerA and the single-strand binding protein SSB from Saccharolubus solfataricus. We demonstrate that SSB clearly inhibits NurA endonuclease activity and its exonuclease activities also when in combination with HerA. Moreover, we show that SSB binding to DNA is greatly stimulated by the presence of either NurA or NurA/HerA. In addition, if on the one hand NurA binding is not influenced, on the other hand, HerA binding is reduced when SSB is present in the reaction. In accordance with what has been observed, we have shown that HerA helicase activity is not stimulated by SSB. These data suggest that, in archaea, the DNA end resection process is governed by the strictly combined action of NurA, HerA and SSB.  相似文献

Eyewitness research has identified sequential lineup testing as a way of reducing false lineup choices while maintaining accurate identifications. The authors examined the usefulness of this procedure for reducing false choices in older adults. Young and senior witnesses viewed a crime video and were later presented with target present or absent lineups in a simultaneous or sequential format. In addition, some participants received prelineup questions about their memory for a perpetrator's face and about their confidence in their ability to identify the culprit or to correctly reject the lineup. The sequential lineup reduced false choosing rates among young and older adults in target-absent conditions. Greedy Detection     
In this paper, we introduce a new greedy algorithm developed for communication systems characterized with multiple simultaneous data transmission. Specifically, we consider code-division multiple-access (CDMA) systems and systems employing space-time coding (STC). The optimum detection in such systems has an exponential complexity and cannot be used in practical systems. We show that performance close to the optimum performance yet with significantly lower complexity can be achieved by the proposed algorithm. Also, we show that its performance is significantly better than that of most of the existing sub-optimum schemes for a wide range of operating conditions.  相似文献

The effects of impeller speed, air flow rate, cell concentration, agitator size and cell volume on the recovery of aluminium particles have been studied in a KHD Humboldt Wedge AG machine, using alkyl benzene sodium sulphonate paste as collector and pine oil as frother. The recovery yield increased with increasing impeller speed, air flow rate, cell concentration and cell volume, up to a certain range, whereafter it decreased. A decrease in the recovery yield was observed on increasing the agitator size. A mathematical model has been developed to correlate percentage recovery with the above variables.  相似文献

Recent developments in mass spectrometry have permitted direct analysis of biomolecules in tissue. However, most studies have focused on proteins with emphasis on biomarker discovery. In the present work, matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry was used for the direct analysis of lipids in rat cerebellum. The lipid bilayer role as a storage depot for small organic molecules such as therapeutic drugs and pollutants such as DDT, as well as the ability to compare lipid profiles in healthy and diseased animal models, are a few of the many reasons why the direct probing of tissue to determine the qualitative and possibly quantitative lipid content could be a very useful tool. Molecular ions corresponding to cholesterol, phosphatidylcholines, sphingomyelins, and phosphatidylethanolamines were recorded in positive ion mode, while ones corresponding to phosphatidylinositols, sulfatides, and gangliosides were recorded in negative ion mode. Overall, representatives from all major categories of brain lipids including cholesterol, 15 phospholipid species (9 phosphatidylcholines, 1 sphingomyelin, 3 phosphatidylethanolamines, 2 phosphatidylinositols), 10 sulfatides (5 hydroxylated species and 5 nonhydroxylated species), and 7 species of gangliosides were detected.  相似文献
