Pointing is one of the more meaningful gestures in human expression. In this article, deictic and head pose pointing methods are evaluated as interaction means, with the objective of comparing their efficiency and delivered comfort, usability, and user experience to apply them to the deployment of services in smart spaces. Standard tools and questionnaires are applied in a user study with 20 individuals who have tried a Kinect V2-enabled pointing system to a) complete a multidirectional International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9241-9 pointing task and b) test a service to command smart objects. The results show that both deictic and head pose interaction perform in a similar way, providing a throughput of 2.14 and 2.04 bits/s, respectively (comparable to joysticks or touchpads in equivalent ISO tasks). The system being quite robust to the user position in the Kinect coverage area, target size influences performance, but also learnability and the overall response when cursor visual cues are not available. From comfort, usability, and user experience responses, it can be said that deictic is perceived to perform better than head pose in terms of accuracy, efficiency, and organization, although head pose is preferred for its speed.  相似文献

There are very few countries that have provisions addressing the energy efficiency of the whole street lighting system, such as Spain or the Netherlands. Nevertheless, there is not an agreement about how energy efficiency must be assessed. The Spanish Government contemplates it in the Royal Decree 1890/2008 with the goal of improving energy savings and efficiency. However, this has not obtained the expected results. Nowadays, energy efficiency of this kind of systems is assessed using a label. In the case of Spain, this label only assesses one magnitude. The contributions of this paper are two evaluation systems (kiviat diagram and pie chart) which assess five magnitudes: lamps, energy efficiency index, light pollution, renewable energy contribution, and harness of the luminous flux using dimming. After that, a survey was done to study several subjects: (1) if citizens are aware about the efficiency of street lighting systems, (2) whether the sample of colors used in the label is adequate, and (3) if our proposed systems could replace the current evaluation system. Finally, the paper finishes with the conclusions of the survey.  相似文献

Lipolysis, lipid peroxidation, texture and rancid taste were investigated in Serrano hams processed under low, medium and high ripening temperature conditions (RTC) for 15 months. Medium RTC hams showed the highest contents of saturated and monounsaturated free fatty acids (FFAs) from month 5 to 15 and of polyunsaturated FFAs from month 7 to 12. The primary peroxidation index decreased during ripening in all hams, with higher levels for low RTC hams from month 5 onwards. Contrarily, the secondary peroxidation index increased during ripening in all hams, with higher levels for medium RTC hams from month 7 onwards. Texture parameters varied significantly among ham muscles. Shear force increased during ripening in all hams, with higher values for medium RTC hams, whereas cutting force was not influenced by RTC or ripening time. Rancid taste scarcely developed during ripening and was not affected by RTC.  相似文献

The analytical response of amperometric glucose electrodes was explained in the framework of the properties of hydrogels with different muc/chit ratio at pH = 7.00 used as immobilization matrix for glucose oxidase. The continuous increase in the sensitivity of the electrodes with the amount of chitosan was attributed to a more efficient crosslinking without affecting the enzyme activity. The results were compared with those obtained using the same matrices to immobilize Oxalate Oxidase at pH = 2.85 where it has the highest activity. A maximum sensitivity at muc/chit 70/30 ratio for these oxalate electrodes was observed. Decrease in permeability of negatively charged oxalate with the chitosan content in the matrices, in spite of the high partition coefficient, explains the analytical differences with glucose electrodes. Swelling and viscoelasticity of the hydrogels allowed to asses the importance of a hydrophilic environment for the enzyme in both cases.  相似文献

Corn grits that were supplemented with isovaleraldehyde, ethyl butyrate, butyric acid and flavour enhancers were extruded under different processing conditions. Volatile compounds retained in the extrudates were isolated by dynamic headspace and analysed using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. The expansion ratio, density and cut force to break down the extrudates were evaluated and aroma intensity was assessed using a multisample difference test. Butyric acid showed the greatest retention (96.4%), regardless of the extrusion conditions. All compounds were better retained when samples were extruded at 20% feed moisture and 90 °C processing temperature (2.9–81.0%), conditions that also resulted in greater aromatic intensity (moderate to moderate‐strong intensity). The addition of volatile compounds reduced the expansion ratio and cut force, whereas the addition of flavour enhancers increased the expansion ratio but reduced ethyl butyrate and butyric acid retention.  相似文献

This study aimed to characterize Salmonella Enteritidis (SE) isolated from blood (n = 12) and feces (n = 68) of salmonellosis victims in Southern Brazil. All isolates were submitted to antimicrobial susceptibility testing, PCR-ribotyping, and XbaI macrorestriction Pulsed-Field Gel Eletrophoresis (PFGE). Results demonstrated high levels of ampicillin and nalidixic acid resistance, and strains isolated in different geographic regions were clustered together, presenting a common resistance profile. All strains demonstrated similar and related PCR-ribotyping patterns (R1, R2, and R3); being that the predominant profile R1 grouped 47.5% of the strains. PFGE profile P1 grouped the majority of the strains (96.25%), suggesting a clonal relationship among the strains or inability of molecular typing methods to discriminate strains of this serovar. Results suggested on an increase in antimicrobial resistance and that strains of S. Enteritidis with similar PFGE and PCR-ribotyping profiles were involved in several salmonellosis outbreaks in Southern Brazil.  相似文献

In this study a simple, rapid, and efficient method has been developed for the determination of six sulfonylurea herbicides (SUHs): triasulfuron, metsulfuron-methyl, chlorsulfuron, flazasulfuron, chlorimuron-ethyl, and primisulfuron-methyl in commercial grape and apple juice samples, using dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction coupled with capillary high-performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection. Various parameters that influence the extraction efficiency, such as the type and volume of extraction and disperser solvents, sample pH, and salt addition, were investigated and optimized. Under the optimum conditions, limits of detection and quantification of the method were in the ranges of 2–9 and 8–29 μg L?1, respectively, lower than the maximum residue limits set by the European Union for the raw fruits, such as grape and apple. The intra- and inter-day relative standard deviations varied from 1.0 to 8.2 and 1.8 to 9.8 %, respectively, with recoveries between 72.0 and 109.5 % for commercial grape (both white and red) and apple juice samples, showing satisfactory accuracy for the determination of SUHs in fruit juices.  相似文献

Nowadays, the stability and the safe cover and closure of soft tailings has become one of the most challenging topics in geotechnical and environmental engineering. For appropriate analysis and modelling, geotechnical properties of tailings should be well defined. Due to low strength, viscous nature and poor trafficability, as well as due to the specific geometrical properties of fine particles and pore water chemistry in tailings, different test methods and their modification and improvements must be used for valid and reliable characterisation of tailings. This paper analyses and compares the results of different field test methods, piezocone penetration test (CPTu), flat dilatometer test (DMT) and field vane test (FVT), performed on the red gypsum sludge and complementary laboratory tests. CPTu and DMT measurements were evaluated using procedures developed for soils and the obtained mechanical properties were compared with those measured in the laboratory. The significant distinctions between different test methods and different empirical correlations were analysed taking into account differences in index properties of soils and the red gypsum sludge. Based on analysis, some modifications of conventional empirical correlations were proposed for field tests results interpretation and sludge characterisation. The obtained data also show the advantages and limitations of some conventional methods and prove the need for further development in that field of geotechnical investigation.

Polyetherketones, PEKs, are an important family of high-performance thermoplastic materials that display a unique combination of toughness, stiffness, thermooxidative stability, chemical and solvent resistance, flame retardancy, and retention of physical properties at high temperatures. A relevant step forward in the development of these materials has been the recent incorporation of nanofillers to extend their utility in advanced technological applications. This review provides an extensive overview of the research on PEK-based nanocomposites with a special emphasis on both carbon-based nanofillers, such as nanotubes or nanofibers, and inorganic nanoparticles. Nanocomposites can be fabricated by simple, low-cost conventional techniques such as extrusion and compression molding, generally combined with pre-processing stages involving mechanochemical treatments in organic solvents. Different strategies employed to efficiently incorporate carbon nanofillers into these matrices, including polymer functionalization, covalent grafting and nanofiller wrapping in compatibilizing systems are described. The analysis of the influence of the preparation and processing conditions as well as the nanofiller type, attributes and loading on the structure and properties of the resulting materials is also considered. Composites incorporating carbon nanofillers display remarkably improved thermal stability, electrical and thermal conductivity as well as mechanical property enhancements compared to the neat polymers. On the other hand, the incorporation of inorganic nanoparticles such as WS2, SiO2 or Al2O3 significantly enhances the tribological properties of the matrix, mainly the coefficient of friction and wear resistance. Finally, current and potential applications of these multifunctional nanocomposite materials in fields such as medicine, telecommunications, electronics, aerospace, automobile and chemical industries are described.  相似文献
