In this work, wire antennas are designed to jam GSM frequencies using genetic algorithms. These antennas are designed to block communication at 3-band GSM frequencies. They are planned to be mounted on a vehicle and therefore are modeled on a ground plane. Jammer antennas designed in this work are composed of wires, placed on two square dielectric frames, perpendicular to each other. Genetic optimization routines are developed on MATLAB environment for the designs carried out in this work. Electromagnetic simulation program called SuperNEC, which analyses antennas by the method of moments, is used to determine the antenna performances and is called by the developed GA routines. The purpose of the antenna optimization is to obtain low VSWR values and omni-directional radiation pattern near ground at θ = [70° 80° 90°] planes at all GSM frequencies, since the targets will be near ground for this application. Original and interesting antenna designs are obtained as the result of genetic optimization, and are presented in the paper.  相似文献

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the use of feedforward neural networks (FFNNs), adaptive neural fuzzy inference systems (ANFIS), and probabilistic neural networks (PNNs) to discriminate between earthquakes and quarry blasts in Istanbul and vicinity (the Marmara region). The tectonically active Marmara region is affected by the Thrace-Eski?ehir fault zone and especially the North Anatolian fault zone (NAFZ). Local MARNET stations, which were established in 1976 and are operated by the Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute (KOERI), record not only earthquakes that occur in the region, but also quarry blasts. There are a few quarry-blasting areas in the Gaziosmanpa?a, Çatalca, Ömerli, and Hereke regions. Analytical methods were applied to a set of 175 seismic events (2001-2004) recorded by the stations of the local seismic network (ISK, HRT, and CTT stations) operated by the KOERI National Earthquake Monitoring Center (NEMC). Out of a total of 175 records, 148 are related to quarry blasts and 27 to earthquakes. The data sets were divided into training and testing sets for each region. In all the models developed, the input vectors consist of the peak amplitude ratio (S/P ratio) and the complexity value, and the output is a determination of either earthquake or quarry blast. The success of the developed models on regional test data varies between 97.67% and 100%.  相似文献

We consider the stochastic input-output properties of a simple non-linear dynamical system, the so-called Page-Hinkley detector, playing a key role in change detection, and also in queuing theory. We show that for L-mixing inputs with negative expectation the output process of this system is L-mixing. The result is applied to get an upper bound for the false alarm rate. The proof is then adapted to get a similar result for the case of random i.i.d. inputs. Possible extensions and open problems are given in the discussion.  相似文献

Despite the ability of current GPU processors to treat heavy parallel computation tasks, its use for solving medical image segmentation problems is still not fully exploited and remains challenging. A lot of difficulties may arise related to, for example, the different image modalities, noise and artifacts of source images, or the shape and appearance variability of the structures to segment. Motivated by practical problems of image segmentation in the medical field, we present in this paper a GPU framework based on explicit discrete deformable models, implemented over the NVidia CUDA architecture, aimed for the segmentation of volumetric images. The framework supports the segmentation in parallel of different volumetric structures as well as interaction during the segmentation process and real-time visualization of the intermediate results. Promising results in terms of accuracy and speed on a real segmentation experiment have demonstrated the usability of the system.  相似文献

This paper describes a novel template-based meshing approach for generating good quality quadrilateral meshes from 2D digital images. This approach builds upon an existing image-based mesh generation technique called Imeshp, which enables us to create a segmented triangle mesh from an image without the need for an image segmentation step. Our approach generates a quadrilateral mesh using an indirect scheme, which converts the segmented triangle mesh created by the initial steps of the Imesh technique into a quadrilateral one. The triangle-to-quadrilateral conversion makes use of template meshes of triangles. To ensure good element quality, the conversion step is followed by a smoothing step, which is based on a new optimization-based procedure. We show several examples of meshes generated by our approach, and present a thorough experimental evaluation of the quality of the meshes given as examples.  相似文献

Fast acceleration of symbolic transition systems (Fast) is a tool for the analysis of systems manipulating unbounded integer variables. We check safety properties by computing the reachability set of the system under study. Even if this reachability set is not necessarily recursive, we use innovative techniques, namely symbolic representation, acceleration and circuit selection, to increase convergence. Fast has proved to perform very well on case studies. This paper describes the tool, from the underlying theory to the architecture choices. Finally, Fast capabilities are compared with those of other tools. A range of case studies from the literature is investigated. This paper is mainly based on results presented at CAV 2003, TACAS 2004 and ATVA 2005.  相似文献

Fire fighting work comprises work tasks requiring an energy yield at maximal or close to maximal levels of the individual. Due to the very nature of fire fighting more complex physiological variables are difficult to measure. We measured metabolic and respiratory responses in 15 male, professional fire fighters during simulated work tasks on a test ground. Work time was on the average 22 min with individual components of work tasks lasting 2-4 min. The mean oxygen consumption for the whole exercise (22 min) was 2.75+/-0.29 l/min. The most demanding work task demanded an oxygen uptake of 3.55+/-0.27 l/min. Corresponding values for respiratory minute volumes were 82+/-14 and 102+/-14l/min, respectively. Heart rates averaged 168+/-12 for the whole test and 179+/-13 beats/min for the heaviest work task. Two new classes for classification of intensive and exhausting, short term physical work are proposed for inclusion in ISO8996 and values for relevant parameters are proposed.  相似文献

We present a novel space-time patch-based method for image sequence restoration. We propose an adaptive statistical estimation framework based on the local analysis of the bias-variance trade-off. At each pixel, the space-time neighborhood is adapted to improve the performance of the proposed patch-based estimator. The proposed method is unsupervised and requires no motion estimation. Nevertheless, it can also be combined with motion estimation to cope with very large displacements due to camera motion. Experiments show that this method is able to drastically improve the quality of highly corrupted image sequences. Quantitative evaluations on standard artificially noise-corrupted image sequences demonstrate that our method outperforms other recent competitive methods. Attempts to carry out the hydroformylation of allyldiethylamine homogeneously catalyzed by rhodium complexes led to unexpected formation of N,N,N,N-tetraethyl-1,4-diaminobutane and 4-(diethylamino)-1-butanole as final products.
