The effect of clay content, homogenization RPM, and pH on the mechanical and barrier properties of fish gelatin/nanoclay composite films was investigated. The addition of 5% nanoclay (w/w) increased the tensile strength from 30.31 ± 2.37 MPa to 40.71 ± 3.30 MPa. The 9 g clay/100 g gelatin film exhibited the largest improvements in oxygen and water barrier properties. Oxygen permeability decreased from 402.8 × 10−6 ± 0.7 × 10−6 g m/m2 day atm to 114.4 × 10−6 ± 16.2 × 10−6 g m/m2 day atm and the water vapor permeability decreased from 31.2 × 10−3 ± 1.6 × 10−3 ng m/m2 s Pa to 8.1 × 10−3 ± 0.1 × 10−3 ng m/m2 s Pa. The XRD and TEM observation suggested that the ultrasonication treatment (30 min at 40% output) resulted in exfoliation of the silicates.  相似文献

A [110] layered perovskite, La2Ti2O7, was a good photocatalyst under ultraviolet light in water splitting reaction. The material was synthesized with La2O3 and TiO2 as precursors by solid-state transformation. The morphology and photocatalytic activity of La2Ti2O7 depended on the preparation methods, as well as purity and morphology of the precursors. Wet-grinding of precursors in ethanol gave a product with higher crystallinity and phase purity, and thus higher photocatalytic activity, than dry-grinding without solvent. It was important to reduce the particle size of La2O3, as it usually had larger initial particle sizes than TiO2. Thus, the particle size of La2O3 had a strong effect on the crystallinity and surface area of the product La2Ti2O7. On the other hand, a severe chemical purity control was required for TiO2, while the effect of morphology was relatively small. In all cases, a high degree of crystallinity and purity of the prepared La2Ti2O7 was critical to show a high photocatalytic water-splitting activity.  相似文献

To obtain long branched polybutylene succinate (PBS), modified PBSs were prepared by introducing a branching agent, trimethylol propane (TMP), to the polycondensation system of succinic acid and 1,4‐butanediol. Molecular parameters such as absolute molecular weight and root‐mean‐square (RMS) radius of the modified PBSs were measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) with a multiangle laser light‐scattering (MALLS) detector. The RMS radius of TMP05, PBS prepared by incorporating 0.5 wt % TMP during polycondensation, was the smallest of all PBSs tested at the same molecular weight. The notable shear thinning and much reduced loss tangent for TMP05 qualitatively supported the difference in their molecular structures predicted by GPC. The analytical results indicated that introducing 0.5 wt % TMP produced PBS with chain branches long enough to produce molecular entanglements. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A polysaccharide‐immobilized chiral stationary phase (CSP) was prepared by the surface‐initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (SI‐ATRP), in pyridine, of cellulose 2,3‐bis(3,5‐dimethylphenylcarbamate), having a polymerizable vinyl group, on the surface of SiO2 support. The successful preparation of the CSP was confirmed via Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, field‐emission scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, elemental analysis and thermal analysis. The chiral recognition ability of the prepared CSP was evaluated with high‐performance liquid chromatography using 10 racemates with various mobile phases of hexane/alcohol, hexane/tetrahydrofuran and hexane/chloroform. As a result, this CSP prepared using SI‐ATRP can be used in tetrahydrofuran and chloroform solutions as eluents. Copyright © 2011 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Photocatalytic overall water splitting has been demonstrated with WO3 for oxygen producing photocatalyst (OPC), and Rh-doped SrTiO3 for hydrogen producing photocatalyst (HPC) in a simulated dual-bed system under visible light irradiation (λ ≥ 400 nm). The Fe3+/Fe2+ redox couple was chosen as the most effective electron mediator between OPC and HPC. The overall performance of the dual-bed system was limited by the low activity of HPC, and thus the activity of HPC should be increased to improve the overall performance. For overall water splitting reaction in a dual-bed system, the conduction band of OPC must be more negative than the redox potential of the electron acceptors and the valence band of HPC must be more positive than the redox potential of the electron donors.  相似文献

Accurate prediction of fatigue failure times of materials such as fracture and plastic deformation at various stress ranges has a strong bearing on practical fatigue design of materials. In this study, we propose a novel genetic‐based iterative quantile regression (GA‐IQR) algorithm for analyzing fatigue curves that represent a nonlinear relationship between a given stress amplitude and fatigue life. We reduce the problem to a linear framework and develop the iterative algorithm for determining the model coefficients including unknown fatigue limits. The procedure keeps updating the estimates in a direction to reduce its resulting error. Also, our approach benefits from the population‐based stochastic search of the genetic algorithms so that the algorithm becomes less sensitive to its initialization. Compared with conventional approaches, the proposed GA‐IQR requires fewer assumptions to develop fatigue model, capable of exploring the data structure in a relatively flexible manner. All procedures and calculations are quite straightforward, such that the proposed quantile regression model has a high potential value in a wide range of applications for exploring nonlinear relationships with lifetime data. This paper proposes a sliding mode formation control method for electrically driven nonholonomic mobile robots in the presence of model uncertainties and disturbances. We use the kinematic model based on the leader-following approach for the formation control of multiple robots. Unlike many researches considering only the kinematic model, we also consider the dynamic model including actuator dynamics to obtain the voltage input because it is more realistic to use the voltage as input than the velocity. Then, the sliding mode control method is used to deal with model uncertainties and disturbances acting on the mobile robots. The stability of the proposed control system is proven using Lyapunov stability theory. Finally, we perform computer simulations to demonstrate the performance of the proposed control system.  相似文献

Cyclic voltammetry (CV), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) were employed to investigate the electrodeposition of Eu and Al in an LiCl-KCl eutectic melt containing Eu2+ and Al3+ at 450 °C. In order to deposit a pure Eu and Al alloy, the stoichiometrically lower concentration of Al3+ than that of Eu2+ and Al wires as a counter electrode was introduced into the bath of LiCl-KCl melt for the electrodeposition. The electrodeposition takes place at a potential more negative than −1.95 V vs. Ag|Ag+ while the deposit is oxidized at more positive potential than −1.92 V. Two new reduction peaks and an anodic peak on a W working electrode were observed at −2.39 V, −2.42 V, and −2.1 V, vs. Ag|Ag+, respectively, suggesting that the potential window of the Al system in LiCl-KCl melt can be extended to −2.43 V vs. Ag|Ag+. The EDS analysis indicated that AlEu can be deposited at the potential more negative than −2.37 V.  相似文献
