The reference of EMF sources which are affecting human-beings was produced. Taking into consideration scientific data on the radio biological non-ionizing radiation the electromagnetic danger for people was estimated.

Application interactive CLASS software for stimulating productive binocular cooperation based on random-dot patterns and stereograms was used for treating strabismus and amblyopia in 105 children during a standard course of treatment. The children were divided into 3 groups treated by the CLASS alone (1), Class + two other application programs (2), and CLASS + traditional methods. General positive changes (improvement of visual acuity, decrease of eye deviation, etc.) were similar in these 3 groups. Positive effect of CLASS exercises on binocular visual mechanisms was significant. Due to precise evaluation of binocular interaction provided by CLASS, positive changes in binocular cooperation and stereovision were attained in 93% of children.

An additional fat load, rich in medium chain acids was used to supplement a standard ration of 30 patients with chronic pancreatitis as a test for assessing assimilation and tolerance of lipids. Good tolerance of these acids as well as the lack of negative influence on the exocrine function of pancreas was revealed. This makes expedient to include the acids in ration of patients with chronic pancreatitis with the purpose to increase its energy value.     

Study of intestinal time in patients with chronic pancreatitis with the help of hydrogen breath test

With the help of hydrogen breath test (HRT) the state of small intestina micro flora was studied and the time of transiting chyme in it was defined in 72 patients with chronic biliary-dependent pancreatitis. It was determined that in small intestine of 40% of patients there took place an excessive bacterial growth and chime transiting time increased. After dietary (a standard high-protein diet) and enzyme (Mezim, Creon) therapies, the bacterial semination and HRT were in norm. The use of HRT in gastroetherology permits to evalu ate the efficacy of performed therapy, m particular in patients with body weight deficiency, the character of diarrhea, its possible link with exoennous function of pancreas and excessive bacterial growth in intestine.

Dynamics of evoked potentials at different points in the cat somatosensory cortex during elaboration of conditioned reflexes

In chronic experiments on cats a study was made of the spreading of evoked potentials (EP) in the somatosensory zones S1 and S2 in response to biologically significant tonal stimuli. The formation of conditioned connections enhances the capacity for polysensory reactions in different cortical somatic fields outside the zones of local projection of the unconditioned stimulus. As stable conditioned connections are formed, this capacity diminishes in relation to reinforced and, particularly, easily differentiated sounds: EP are more localized in response to the former, and disappear altogether when the latter are presented. The wide EP spreading in zones S1 and S2 is the longest in response to medium and fine differentiation tones, which points to the involvement of these zones in the integrative analysis of signals by their biological quality.
