This review lays special stress on describing the synthesis of soluble axially substituted or bridged indium, gallium and titanium phthalocyanine complexes and their electronic absorption characteristics, photophysical and nonlinear optical properties. The enhanced solubility of the axially substituted or bridged phthalocyanine monomers and dimers, compared to the chloro analogues, shows that the usual tendency of phthalocyanines to form aggregates can be effectively suppressed by axial substitution. Axial substitution in phthalocyanine complexes has provoked relevant changes on the electronic structure of the molecule by altering the π-electronic distribution due to the dipole moment of the central metal-axial ligand bond. The nanosecond nonlinear absorption and the optical limiting of indium, gallium and titanium phthalocyanines seem to be dominated by a strong triplet state absorption in the optical region comprised between the Q- and B-bands in their UV/Vis absorption spectra. Background: marijuana, the common name for cannabis sativa preparations, is one of the most consumed drug all over the world, both at therapeutical and recreational levels. With the legalization of medical uses of cannabis in many countries, and even its recreational use in most of these, the prevalence of marijuana use has markedly risen over the last decade. At the same time, there is also a higher prevalence in the health concerns related to cannabis use and abuse. Thus, it is mandatory for oral healthcare operators to know and deal with the consequences and effects of cannabis use on oral cavity health. This review will briefly summarize the components of cannabis and the endocannabinoid system, as well as the cellular and molecular mechanisms of biological cannabis action in human cells and biologic activities on tissues. We will also look into oropharyngeal tissue expression of cannabinoid receptors, together with a putative association of cannabis to several oral diseases. Therefore, this review will elaborate the basic biology and physiology of cannabinoids in human oral tissues with the aim of providing a better comprehension of the effects of its use and abuse on oral health, in order to include cannabinoid usage into dental patient health records as well as good medicinal practice. Methods: the paper selection was performed by PubMed/Medline and EMBASE electronic databases, and reported according to the PRISMA guidelines. The scientific products were included for qualitative analysis. Results: the paper search screened a total of 276 papers. After the initial screening and the eligibility assessment, a total of 32 articles were considered for the qualitative analysis. Conclusions: today, cannabis consumption has been correlated to a higher risk of gingival and periodontal disease, oral infection and cancer of the oral cavity, while the physico-chemical activity has not been completely clarified. Further investigations are necessary to evaluate a therapeutic efficacy of this class of drugs for the promising treatment of several different diseases of the salivary glands and oral diseases.  相似文献

The present work reports on the effect of the type of backside contact used in the electrochemical process and their relation with the structural features and optical responses of the one-dimensional photonic crystal (PC) anodized in simple and double electrochemical cell. The PC, obtained in the single cell, showed to have thicker layers than of the PC obtained in double electrochemical cell. Additionally, the PC obtained in double cell showed highest reflectance in the band gap region than of the PCs obtained in single cell. These results suggest that the interface roughness between adjacent layers in the PC devices obtained in double electrochemical cell is minimized.  相似文献

In this paper, a fully immersive serious game system that combines two Natural User Interfaces (NUIs) and a Head Mounted Display (HMD) to provide an interactive Virtual Environment (VE) for patient rehabilitation is proposed. Patients’ data are acquired in real-time by the NUIs, while by the HMD the VE is shown to them, thus allowing the interaction. A Long Short-Term Memory Recurrent Neural Network (LSTM-RNN), previously trained by healthy subjects (i.e., baseline), processes patients’ movements in real-time during the rehabilitation exercises to provide the degree of their performance. By comparing the functionalities of the proposed system with the ongoing state-of-the-art, it is worth noting that the reported fully immersive serious game system provides a concrete contribute to the current literature in terms of completeness and versatility. The results obtained by three rehabilitation exercises, chosen as reference case studies, performed on real patients affected by Parkinson’s disease have shown the effectiveness of the presented approach. Finally, the analysis of the feedbacks received by the therapists and patients who have used the system have highlighted remarkable results in terms of motivation, acceptance, and usability.  相似文献

Resource management remains one of the main issues of cloud computing providers because system resources have to be continuously allocated to handle workload fluctuations while guaranteeing Service Level Agreements (SLA) to the end users. In this paper, we propose novel capacity allocation algorithms able to coordinate multiple distributed resource controllers operating in geographically distributed cloud sites. Capacity allocation solutions are integrated with a load redirection mechanism which, when necessary, distributes incoming requests among different sites. The overall goal is to minimize the costs of allocated resources in terms of virtual machines, while guaranteeing SLA constraints expressed as a threshold on the average response time. We propose a distributed solution which integrates workload prediction and distributed non-linear optimization techniques. Experiments show how the proposed solutions improve other heuristics proposed in literature without penalizing SLAs, and our results are close to the global optimum which can be obtained by an oracle with a perfect knowledge about the future offered load.  相似文献

Solid-state synthesis of compositions from the Bi2O3–TeO2 system show that, under an oxygen atmosphere, Te4+ oxidizes to Te6+ and yields four room-temperature stable compounds: Bi2Te2O8, Bi2TeO6, Bi6Te2O15, and new a compound with the nominal composition 7Bi2O3·2TeO2. Dense ceramics can be prepared from all these compounds by sintering between 650° and 800°C under an oxygen atmosphere. The permittivity of these compounds varies from ∼30 to ∼54, the Q × f value from 1.100 to 41.000 GHz (∼5 GHz), and the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency from −43 to −144 ppm/K. Bi6Te2O15 and 7Bi2O3·2TeO2 do not react with silver, and, therefore, they have the potential to be used for applications in low-temperature cofired ceramic (LTCC) technology.  相似文献

The severe damage and collapse of many reinforced concrete (RC) wall buildings in the recent earthquakes of Chile (2010) and New Zealand (2011) have shown that RC walls did not perform as well as required by the modern codes of both countries. It seems therefore appropriate to intensify research efforts towards more accurate simulations of damage indicators, in particular local engineering demand parameters such as material strains, which are central to the application of performance-based earthquake engineering. Potential modelling improvements will necessarily build on a thorough assessment of the limitations of current state-of-the-practice simulation approaches for RC wall buildings. This work compares different response parameters obtained from monotonic analyses of RC walls using numerical tools that are commonly employed by researchers and specialized practitioners, namely: plastic hinge analyses, distributed plasticity models, and shell element models. It is shown that a multi-level assessment—wherein both the global and local levels of the response are jointly addressed during pre- and post-peak response—is fundamental to define the dependability of the results. The displacement demand up to which the wall response can be predicted is defined as the first occurrence between the attainment of material strain limits and numerical issues such as localization. The present work also presents evidence to discourage the application of performance-based assessment of RC walls relying on non-regularized strain EDPs.  相似文献

Although the UML is considered to be the de facto standard notation with which to model software, there is still resistance to model-based development. UML modeling is perceived to be expensive and not necessarily cost-effective. It is therefore important to collect empirical evidence concerning the conditions under which the use of UML makes a practical difference. The focus of this paper is to investigate whether and how the Level of Detail (LoD) of UML diagrams impacts on the performance of maintenance tasks in a model-centric approach. A family of experiments consisting of one controlled experiment and three replications has therefore been carried out with 81 students with different abilities and levels of experience from 3 countries (The Netherlands, Spain, and Italy). The analysis of the results of the experiments indicates that there is no strong statistical evidence as to the influence of different LoDs. The analysis suggests a slight tendency toward better results when using low LoD UML diagrams, especially if used for the modification of the source code, while a high LoD would appear to be helpful in understanding the system. The participants in our study also favored low LoD diagrams because they were perceived as easier to read. Although the participants expressed a preference for low LoD diagrams, no statistically significant conclusions can be drawn from the set of experiments. One important finding attained from this family of experiments was that the participants minimized or avoided the use of UML diagrams, regardless of their LoD. This effect was probably the result of using small software systems from well-known domains as experimental materials.  相似文献
