This study presents a Wavelet based Neuro-Detector approach employed to detect the aging indications of an electric motor. Analysis of the aging indications, which can be seen in the low frequency region, is performed using vibration signals. More specifically, two vibration signals are observed for healthy and faulty (aged) cases which are measured from the same electric motor. Multi Resolution Wavelet Analysis (MRWA) is applied in order to obtain low and high frequency bands of the vibration signals. Thus for detecting the aging properties in the spectra, the Power Spectral Density (PSD) of the subband for the healthy case is used to train an Auto Associative Neural Network (AANN). The PSD amplitudes, which are computed for the faulty case, are applied to input nodes of the trained network for the re-calling process of AANN. Consequently, the simulation results show that some spectral properties defined in low frequency region are determined through the error response of AANN. Hence, some specific frequencies of the bearing damage related to the aging process are detected and identified. 相似文献

Summary Novel phosphorus-containing acrylate/(di)methacrylate monomers based on 3-(acryloyloxy)-2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate (AHM) were prepared by two different methods. The first method involved reaction of AHM with diethylchlorophosphate to produce a phosphate-containing acrylate/methacrylate monomer followed by Michael addition of this monomer with dihexyl amine. In the second method, a hydroxyl-containing dimethacrylate monomer was prepared via Michael addition of hydroxyl amine to AHM followed by its reaction with diethylchlorophosphate. The photopolymerization kinetics of the synthesized monomers were investigated using a differential scanning calorimeter. It was shown that changing the monomer structure allows control of polymerization reactivity and new phosphorus-containing polymers can be obtained. 相似文献

The aim of this study was to examine the antibacterial effect of ozone on cariogenic microorganisms. Streptococcus salivarius, Streptococcus mutans, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei and Actinomyces viscosus were used to test the antimicrobial activity of ozone. The microorganisms were exposed to power levels 2, 3, or 4 of an ozone device for 20, 40, 60, or 120 s. CFU numbers of bacteria were counted after the ozone application; as a result, the number of bacterial cells was decreased. The bacterial cells were also evaluated with a fluorescence microscope. This analysis revealed that some bacterial cells were killed instantaneously in ozone. The electron microscopic analysis showed no difference in surface morphology between bacteria to which ozone had been applied and those to which it had not. 相似文献

A water-soluble mixture of a novel diallylammonium salt photoinitiator based on 2-hydroxy-1-[4-(2-hydroxyethoxy) phenyl]-2-methyl-1-propanone (Irgacure 2959 or I2959) and diallylammonium tosylate has been prepared. It shows excellent water-solubility of 6.8 wt% in water, much greater than the solubility of I2959 (<2 wt%). It has a strong absorbance at 269 nm (ε ~ 15731) in methanol. It exhibits 15.6 times higher migration stability than I2959 due to its monomeric nature. Its photoinitiating efficiency of 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate (HEMA) and poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA, Mn = 575 D) was found to be similar to I2959. PEGDA hydrogels prepared using the synthesized photoinitiator (PI) were found to have highly porous structures (15.44 μm) compared with those using I2959. PEGDA film prepared using this PI has demonstrated antibacterial properties against gram-negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 15442) and gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 23235) bacterial species. 相似文献

This study aims to prepare and examine the properties of poly(vinyl alcohol)/casein (PVA/CAS) based films reinforced with cellulose nanocrystals (NC), which can be presented as an alternative to petroleum-based polymer packaging materials. PVA/CAS and 0.5–1–3–5 wt% NC containing PVA/CAS biocomposite films were prepared by solution casting method. Afterward, the 1NC film, which exhibited the best mechanical properties, was crosslinked with various amounts of glyoxal. Structural, morphological (polarized optical microscope), mechanical (tensile), thermal (differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis), contact angle, and water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) properties of the samples were investigated. The 1NC film exhibited the highest tensile strength (TS) and elongation values in PVA/CAS/NC films, and its mechanical properties decreased due to agglomeration with increasing NC amount. As expected, crosslinking improved the TS. The thermal stability of the PVA/CAS film was generally improved with the addition of NC and crosslinking. The high WVTR value of the PVA/CAS film decreased with the addition of NC and the 1NC film presented the lowest value. Thanks to the complex structure formed as a result of crosslinking and the reduced free volume, the WVTR of the 1NC film has reduced. Thin hard coatings provide the much needed protection for steel thixoforming tools that must resist wear at high temperatures.
The wear resistance of AlTiN- and AlTiON-coated hot work tool steel was investigated at 1023 K (750 °C), measured to be the
cavity surface temperature shortly after the steel slurry was forced into the thixoforming die. The wear tests were repeated
in exactly the same fashion with uncoated tool steel samples to identify the impact of AlTiN and AlTiON coatings on the high-temperature
wear performance of X32CrMoV33 tool steel. The nature, the thickness, and the adherence of the oxide scales impact the tribological
behavior. The poor adherence and limited ductility of ferrous oxides promote the failure of the oxide scale impairing the
resistance to wear of the hot work tool steel at elevated temperatures. The substantial softening in the X32CrMoV33 hot work
tool steel is also critical in the wear volume loss it suffers. AlTiN and AlTiON coatings, on the other hand, form a stable
and protective oxide surface layer at high temperatures and therefore provide an enhanced resistance to oxidation. The latter

The aim of study was to investigate the effects of various curing protocols with quartz–tungsten halogen (QTH) or light‐emitting diode (LED) light‐curing units on the degree of conversion (% DC) of two dual‐cured core buildup resin composites. Two dual‐cured core buildup resin composites, Clearfil Dc Core Automix (CLF) and Grandio Core Dc (GR), were selected. Specimens were exposed to the polymerization protocols as follows: there was immediate photoactivation or photoactivation delayed by 2 or 5 min by a QTH or LED source, and one group was allowed to chemically polymerize and served as a control (n = 6). The % DC of the specimens was determined with attenuated total reflectance–Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The GR samples polymerized with QTH for the 5‐min‐delayed photoactivation had higher % DC values than those self‐cured, and the Clearfil Dc Core Automix (CLF) samples with immediate or delayed curing protocols with halogen yielded higher % DC values than the samples that were chemically polymerized. The comparison of the two resin composites polymerized with halogen showed a higher % DC for CLF than for GR in the 2‐min‐delayed photoactivation. On the other hand, when they were cured with LED, the % DC values of GR significantly increased after the 2‐min‐delayed photoactivation. In light of the results, it might be stated that CLF polymerized with QTH, could be the better option. GR provided adequate chemical polymerization; therefore, it might be useful in areas in which light curing is not possible. Clinicians should consider the polymerization characteristics of dual‐cured resin composites. Street foods are becoming more and more prominent in countries all over the world. There are many reports of disease due to consumption of street foods contaminated by pathogens. With the modern trend toward more natural preservatives, the use of organic acids can achieve a good microbiological safety in food. In the present study, stuffed mussels were inoculated with Salmonella Typhimurium suspension to provide initial populations of approximately 6 and 3 log CFU/g. After inoculation, samples were treated with fresh lemon juice and lemon dressing for 0, 5, and 15 min, and pathogens were enumerated by using direct plating on brilliant green agar. Treatment of stuffed mussels inoculated at high inoculum level, with lemon juice and lemon dressing for different exposure times caused reduction ranging between 0.25 and 0.56 log CFU/g and 0.5 and 0.69 log CFU/g, respectively, whereas in stuffed-mussel samples inoculated at low level, lemon juice and lemon dressing caused 0.08 to 0.25 log CFU/g and 0.22 to 0.78 log CFU/g reductions, respectively. Results of the study showed that both lemon juice and lemon dressing used as flavoring and acidifying agents for stuffed mussels caused slight decrease in Salmonella Typhimurium as an immediate inhibitor, but this effect increased by time. However, treatment of stuffed mussels with the inhibitors until 15 min is not enough to prevent Salmonella Typhimurium outbreaks related to stuffed mussels. 相似文献
