We study how to build optimal light-field or plenoptic models. We quantify geometric errors in light-field representations and show how geometric error bounds directly affect rendering artifacts. Artifacts depend on how the light-field is parameterized, stored, reconstructed and rendered. We present the rendering artifacts and relate them to the presence of geometric errors in the four most common light-field implementations.We show how to optimize a light-field model. We take an arbitrary bounded object and construct the best possible representation using each of the four parameterizations. The best representation has the least geometric error bounds. We use two geometric errors, a positional and a directional error. We also quantify pixelation artifacts. Our analysis is useful to decide how to build a light-field model. It helps select a parameterization, build an optimal representation, and choose the samplings of the parameter spaces so that geometric errors and rendering artifacts are minimized.  相似文献

TiO2-heterogeneous photocatalysis of nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA) at pH 2.5 was studied to establish the kinetic regime and the reaction mechanism. Pure Degussa P-25 and Hombikat UV100 commercial samples were compared. A Langmuirian behavior was observed over P-25. Platinization of the Hombikat sample (0.5 wt.%) caused an important increase on the photocatalytic rate with a change in the kinetics from zero order in the pure precursors to first order in the platinized sample. The nature of the intermediates and their evolution with time were compared on all systems. Glycine, iminodiacetic and oxamic acids have been identified in different proportions, together with ammonium and glycolic acid, depending on the catalyst used. The rapid depletion of NTA was not accompanied by a corresponding total organic carbon (TOC) reduction, but 84% of TOC decrease was obtained on P25 after 24 h, a very reasonable result for refractory compounds. A detailed mechanism is proposed for the photocatalytic reaction, suggested to be the same over the three catalysts here tested.  相似文献

Maintaining and operating civil infrastructure systems has been recognized as a critical issue worldwide. Among all possible causes of safety reduction during the structural lifetime, deterioration is particularly important. Structural deterioration is usually a slow time-dependent process controlled by safety and operation threshold specifications. This paper presents a model of RC deterioration by coupling biodeterioration (i.e., chemical, physical and mechanical action of live organisms), steel corrosion, and concrete cracking. The final purpose of the model is to compute the reduction of the concrete section and the area of steel reinforcement in order to assess the change of structural capacity with time. Given the uncertainties in both the parameters and the model, the probabilistic nature of loads, the material properties and the diffusion process are taken into account to evaluate structural reliability. The model is illustrated with an example where the inelastic behavior of a pile subject to random loading is considered. The results of the analysis have shown that the effect of biodeterioration on the structural performance is significant and can cause an important reduction of its lifetime. On the whole, the paper states that modeling the effects of biodeterioration in RC structures should be included as part of infrastructure planning and design, especially, when they are located in aggressive environments.  相似文献

In this paper we present a specific CORDIC processor for variable-precision coordinates. This system allows us to specify the precision to perform the CORDIC operation, and control the accuracy of the result, in such a way that re-computation of inaccurate results can be carried out with higher precision. It permits a reliable and accurate evaluation of a wide range of elementary functions. The specific architecture designed greatly improves the computational time of previous solutions based on classic polynomial approximation. For controlling error in numerical computation (where intervals are normally narrow) the proposed design performs an interval operation in a time close to that of a point operation.  相似文献

Rare-earth chromite ErCrO3 powder was synthesized from metal nitrate precursors using microwave synthesis. (Micro-) structural characterizations were performed using X-ray diffraction, Rietveld refinement, High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy and Electron Micro-Diffraction. Magnetization vs. temperature measurements revealed anti-ferromagnetism with TNeel ≈ 135 K. An anti-ferrimagnetic moment of ≈0.4 μB was determined from magnetization vs. applied field measurements. Temperature dependent impedance spectroscopy (IS) indicated 3 dielectric relaxation processes: electrode interface, grain boundary and bulk. The intrinsic bulk activation energy was found to be 0.27 eV and the dielectric permittivity ?r was ≈23 in excellent agreement with Clausius-Mossotti predictions and showed no perceptible temperature dependence. This and the low ?r value suggested that ErCrO3 is a dielectric rather than ferroelectric compound. IS measurements with applied dc bias revealed the signs of an unconventional type of Schottky barrier at the metallic Au electrode/ceramic ErCrO3 interface.  相似文献

This paper studies the synthesis of structured triacylglycerols (STAGs) rich in palmitic and docosahexaenoic acids (PA and DHA) at sn-2 position and oleic acid (OA) at sn-1,3 positions by a four step process. First, triacylglycerols (TAGs) were obtained with 63–66 mol PA/100 mol total fatty acids and 10 mol DHA/100 mol by acidolysis of tuna oil and commercial PA, catalyzed by the non-positionally specific lipase Novozym 435. Then these TAGs were purified neutralizing the free fatty acids (FFAs) by KOH hydroethanolic solutions and extracting TAGs with hexane; these TAGs were completely recovered as pure TAGs (without FFAs). The third step involved the displacement of fatty acids located at sn-1,3 positions by acidolysis of PA and DHA enriched TAGs with OA rich FFAs, catalyzed by the sn-1,3 specific lipase DF from Rhizopus oryzae, immobilized on Accurel MP-1000; TAGs with 67 mol OA/100 mol at sn-1,3 positions and 52.1 and 15.4 mol PA and DHA, respectively, per 100 mol at sn-2 position were obtained. Both acidolysis reactions were carried out in stirred tank reactors (STRs) with lipase both dispersed in the reaction medium and contained in a cartridge filter attached to the stirrer rod. Finally STAGs were purified and obtained with yields of over 80 mol STAGs/100 mol STAGs in the reaction product (no FFAs were detected).  相似文献

Official statistics data show that in many countries the population is aging. In addition, there are several illnesses and disabilities that also affect a small sector of the population. In recent years, researchers and medical foundations are working in order to develop systems based on new technologies and enhance the quality of life of them. One of the cheapest ways is to take advantage of the features provided by the smartphones. Nowadays, the development of reduced size smartphones, but with high processing capacity, has increased dramatically. We can take profit of the sensors placed in smartphones in order to monitor disabled and elderly people. In this paper, we propose a smart collaborative system based on the sensors embedded in mobile devices, which permit us to monitor the status of a person based on what is happening in the environment, but comparing and taking decisions based on what is happening to its neighbors. The proposed protocol for the mobile ad hoc network and the smart system algorithm are described in detail. We provide some measurements showing the decisions taken for several common cases and we also show the performance of our proposal when there is a medium size group of disabled or elderly people. Our proposal can also be applied to take care of children in several situations.  相似文献

The paper connects two of the concerns of this special issue: the way to transcend the ‘bipolar tendency’ of the market culture and to ‘deal with the swings between prophesies of doom that serve only to paralyse us further, and the unbridled consumerism that makes things worse’, and how to remain human when being mediated by technology in contrast to how we are in the presence of others. Our contribution is based on an extensive conception of human beings (HBs). HBs cannot be considered only as cognitive subjects but also in their anthropological integrity. What we mean by this that they think and feel, they share concepts and emotions, they plan and desire. It implies that any attempt at reducing this complexity is a way to diminish human beings and their capabilities. HBs need meaningful course of actions to manage complexity and to tackle alternatives. Meanings come from purposeful activities, and people’s purposes are based not only on utilitarian or rational enquiries but also on what they consider right and good, according to their vision of the world. This is also the key to overcome the ‘bipolar tendency’.  相似文献

The extensive use of composites in aerospace, chemical, marine, and structural applications leads to exposure to humidity and water immersion. Hence, there is a need to study the effect of moisture absorption on the mechanical properties of composite materials, especially the matrix dominated properties, such as the interlaminar shear strength (ILSS). The horizontal shear test with a short‐beam specimen in three‐point‐bending is used as a general method of evaluation for the shear properties in fiber‐reinforced composites because of its simplicity. In this work, the ILSS of cross‐ply glass‐epoxy resin composites is determined in seven different fiber directions with short‐beam three‐point‐bending tests, before and after moisture conditioning. It is found that moisture absorption reduces ILSS and stiffness of the examined composites whereas it leads to larger failure deflections. It is also found that the direction of fibers strongly affects the load–deflection response and the ILSS of the dry and conditioned specimens. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym.
