After a short introduction regarding the physiopathology of secondary spleen cysts, the authors describe a personally observed case of voluminous hemorrhagic pseudocyst. They underline the rarity of the orientation towards radical surgery, having in mind the post-splenectomy risks determined by deficiency of important spleen functions. The authors, with respect to this, underline the importance of reimplanting splenic tissue fragment into omentum, promoting to use, in selected cases, this treatment that needs, however, further clinical findings.  相似文献

The coupling between charge accumulation in a conjugated polymer and the ionic charge compensation, provided from an electrolyte, defines the mode of operation in a vast array of different organic electrochemical devices. The most explored mixed organic ion–electron conductor, serving as the active electrode in these devices, is poly(3,4‐ethyelenedioxythiophene) doped with polystyrelensulfonate (PEDOT:PSS). In this progress report, scientists of the Laboratory of Organic Electronics at Linköping University review some of the achievements derived over the last two decades in the field of organic electrochemical devices, in particular including PEDOT:PSS as the active material. The recently established understanding of the volumetric capacitance and the mixed ion–electron charge transport properties of PEDOT are described along with examples of various devices and phenomena utilizing this ion–electron coupling, such as the organic electrochemical transistor, ionic–electronic thermodiffusion, electrochromic devices, surface switches, and more. One of the pioneers in this exciting research field is Prof. Olle Inganäs and the authors of this progress report wish to celebrate and acknowledge all the fantastic achievements and inspiration accomplished by Prof. Inganäs all since 1981.  相似文献

Optical measurements of particle size and composition in granular samples are difficult to make due to complex light scattering from particles. These multiple scattering events bias absorption estimates and complicate the calculation of scattering and absorption coefficients used to estimate sample properties. Time series data, such as chromatograms and photon time-of-flight (TOF) profiles, contain self-repeating (fractal) characteristics. Power law analysis of photon TOF profiles allows the determination of absorption coefficients and particle sizes in a single experiment. A correlation dimension algorithm was used on photon TOF data from scattering samples. MLR models were then obtained from correlation dimension plots for the estimation of sample properties. Estimates of particle sizes and absorption coefficients were shown to agree well with theoretical values when compared using independent validation sets. Results show close to a 3-fold and up to a 5-fold decrease in the errors of estimation of dye concentration and particle size, respectively, as compared to steady-state measurements. The power law approach provides a useful means of determining sample properties in highly scattering media.  相似文献

Since many -complete graph problems are polynomial-time solvable when restricted to claw-free graphs, we study the problem of determining the distance of a given graph to a claw-free graph, considering vertex elimination a measure. Claw-free Vertex Deletion (CFVD) consists of determining the minimum number of vertices to be removed from a graph such that the resulting graph is claw-free. Although CFVD is -hard in general and recognizing claw-free graphs is still a challenge, where the current best deterministic algorithm for a graph G consists of performing executions of the best algorithm for matrix multiplication, we present linear-time algorithms for CFVD on weighted block graphs and weighted graphs with bounded treewidth. Furthermore, we show that this problem on forests can be solved in linear time by a simpler algorithm, and we determine the exact values for full k-ary trees. On the other hand, we show that CFVD is -hard even when the input graph is a split graph. We also show that the problem is hard to be approximated within any constant factor better than 2, assuming the unique games conjecture.  相似文献

Operational stability is essential for the success of organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) in bioelectronics. The oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is a common electrochemical side reaction that can compromise the stability of OECTs, but the relationship between ORR and materials degradation is poorly understood. In this study, the impact of ORR on the stability and degradation mechanisms of thiophene-based OECTs is investigated. The findings show that an increase in pH during ORR leads to the degradation of the polymer backbone. By using a protective polymer glue layer between the semiconductor channel and the aqueous electrolyte, ORR is effectively suppressed and the stability of the OECTs is significantly improved, resulting in current retention of nearly 90% for ≈2 h cycling in the saturation regime.  相似文献
