Because of its self-regulating nature, immune system has been an inspiration source for usually unsupervised learning methods in classification applications of Artificial Immune Systems (AIS). But classification with supervision can bring some advantages to AIS like other classification systems. Indeed, there have been some studies, which have obtained reasonable results and include supervision in this branch of AIS. In this study, we have proposed a new supervised AIS named as Supervised Affinity Maturation Algorithm (SAMA) and have presented its performance results through applying it to diagnose atherosclerosis using carotid artery Doppler signals as a real-world medical classification problem. We have employed the maximum envelope of the carotid artery Doppler sonograms derived from Autoregressive (AR) method as an input of proposed classification system and reached a maximum average classification accuracy of 98.93% with 10-fold cross-validation method used in training-test portioning. To evaluate this result, comparison was done with Artificial Neural Networks and Decision Trees. Our system was found to be comparable with those systems, which are used effectively in literature with respect to classification accuracy and classification time. Effects of system's parameters were also analyzed in performance evaluation applications. With this study and other possible contributions to AIS, classification algorithms with effective performances can be developed and potential of AIS in classification can be further revealed. 相似文献

Graphs have become growingly important in representing shapes in computer vision. Given a query graph, it is essential to
retrieve similar database graphs efficiently from a large database. In this paper, we present a graph-based indexing technique
which overcomes significant drawbacks of the previous work (Demirci et al. in Comput Vis Image Underst 110(3):312–325, 2008)
using a recently developed theorem from the domain of matrix analysis. Our technique starts by representing the topological
structure of a graph in a vector space. As done in the previous work, the topological structure of a graph is constructed
using its Laplacian spectra. However, unlike the previous approach, which represents all sugraphs of a database graph in the
vector space to account for local similarity, a database graph in the proposed framework is represented as a single vector.
By performing a range search around the query, the proposed indexing technique returns a set with both partial and global
similarity. Empirical evaluation of the algorithm on an extensive set of retrieval trials including a comparison with the

An appropriate and efficient gate assignment is of great importance in airports since it plays a major role in the revenue obtained from the airport operations. In this study, we have focused mainly on maximum gate employment, or in other words minimize the total duration of un-gated flights. Here, we propose a method that combines the benefits of heuristic approaches with some stochastic approach instead of using a purely probabilistic approach to top-down solution of the problem. The heuristic approaches are usually used in order to provide a fast solution of the problem and later stochastic searches are used in order to ameliorate the previous results of the heuristic approach whenever possible. The proposed method generates an assignment order for the whole planes that corresponds to assignment priority. The ordering process is followed by the allocation step. Since, in practice, each airport has its own physical architecture, there have been arisen many constraints mainly concerning airplane types and parking lots in this step. Sequentially handling the plane ordering and allocation phases provides us great modularity in handling the constraints. The effectiveness of the proposed methodology has been tried to be illustrated firstly on fictively generated flight schedule data and secondly on the real world data obtained from a real world application developed for ?stanbul Atatürk Airport. 相似文献

Inactivation of Penicillum expansum in sour cherry juice, peach and apricot nectars by pulsed electric fields 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Inhibitory effects of pulsed electric fields (PEF) on Penicillum expansum inoculated into sour cherry juice, apricot and peach nectars were determined based on germination tube elongation, spore germination rate, and light and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations in this study. After inoculation of juice/nectar samples with P. expansum spores at the level of 10(5)-10(6)cfu/mL, the samples were processed by bench scale PEF pulse generator as a function of differing electric field strengths (0, 13, 17, 20, 23, 27, 30 and 34kV/cm) and processing times (0, 62, 94, 123, 163, 198 and 218mus). Results revealed that with an increase in electric field strength and processing time, germination tube elongation and spore germination rate were completely inhibited. Light and SEM observations revealed considerable morphological alterations in fungal conidia such as cytoplasmic coagulation, vacuolations, shrinkage and protoplast leakage. PEF processing of juice/nectars was demonstrated to be effective in inactivating P. expansum. To our knowledge, this is the first study confirming the inhibitory effects of PEF on germination tube elongation and spore germination rate of P. expansum in fruit juice/nectars. 相似文献

The influence of drying methods on the aroma active volatiles of sun-dried tarhana (SDT) and vacuum-dried tarhana (VDT) were compared using headspace SPME, GC-O and GC-MS. Although vacuum drying reduced the total amount of volatiles as compared to SDT (total FID peak area), more aroma active material was retained with VDT (total olfactory peak area). Vacuum drying retained a greater number of aroma active components (41) whereas the sun-dried method retained only 23. Aldehydes were the largest single class of aroma compounds in both types of tarhana: 17 in VDT and 10 in SDT. Other differentiating aroma compounds include alcohols, terpenes, and phenols such as geraniol, terpinolene, and 4-vinylguaiacol among others. A total of 22 aroma active components were present in greater amounts in the VDT versus only four aroma compounds present in greater amounts in the SDT. 相似文献

Herein, the assessment of commercial beef and chicken bouillons in terms of heterocyclic aromatic amines (HAAs) and some of their precursors was evaluated. Creatine and creatinine levels were ranged between 0.57–0.80 and 0.28–0.94 mg g−1, respectively. Glutamic acid was found to be the most abundant amino acid in both bouillons. 2-amino-3,7,8-trimethylimidazo[4,5-ƒ]quinoxaline (7,8-DiMeIQx, up to 0.03 ng g−1) was the only quantified analyte in beef bouillons, whereas it (up to 0.08 ng g−1) was determined in addition to 2-amino-3-methylimidazo[4,5-ƒ]quinoxaline (IQx, up to 0.08 ng g−1) in chicken bouillons. Creatine, creatinine and free amino acid composition did not have the capacity to initiate the formation of HAAs. Therefore, bouillons do not pose risk in terms of HAAs. However, it should be noted that multiple factors, such as the substrate amount and production conditions, may affect the results. Fatty acid profiles and fat contents of commercially important seawater and freshwater fish species of Turkey: A comparative study 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
The fat content and fatty acid compositions of edible muscle of commercially important seawater and freshwater fish species were investigated. The fatty acid compositions of seawater fish species were found to be 25.5–39.4% saturated (SFA), 13.2–29.0% monounsaturated (MUFAs) and 25.2–48.2% polyunsaturated acids (PUFAs), whereas the fatty acid compositions of freshwater fish from Lake Seyhan consisted of 28.0–34.6% saturated (SFA), 10.7–22.7% monounsaturated (MUFAs) and 23.2–43.7% polyunsaturated acids (PUFAs). The proportions of n3 PUFAs of seawater fish (ranging from 22.6 for waker to 44.2% for blue fish) were higher than those of n3 PUFAs of freshwater fish (ranging from 11.5% for North African catfish to 28.4% for zander). However, the levels of n6 PUFAs of seawater fish (ranging from 0.43% for blue fish to 14.4% for sea bass) were lower than those of n6 PUFAs of freshwater fish (ranging from 5.27% for kutum to 16.8% for tench). The results showed that fatty acid profiles of most freshwater fish are basically comparable to those of seawater fish as sources of PUFAs. 相似文献

The essential oil and methanol extract of Satureja hortensis were tested for antifungal activity against Aspergillus flavus in vitro on Petri plates and liquid culture, and under storage conditions. The oil showed strong antifungal activity based on the inhibition zone and minimal inhibitory concentration values against the pathogen on Petri plates assays. The very low concentrations of them also reduced wet and dry mycelium weight of pathogen fungus in liquid culture. When the oils at 25, 12.5 and 6.25 microl/mL concentrations were applied to lemon fruits before seven days of pathogen inoculation on storage conditions, the decay on fruits caused by the pathogen could be prevented completely. The results in this study showed that the essential oil of S. hortensis had strong antifungal activity against pathogen fungi tested. So, the essential oil of S. hortensis could be used for management of this pathogen as a potential source of sustainable eco-friendly botanical fungicides. 相似文献
