In this research, a flame‐retardant water‐dispersed polyurethane resin was synthesized through incorporating phosphonate groups into the polyurethane structure in the chain‐extension step. A phosphorus‐containing reactive flame‐retardant compound was synthesized for this purpose. First, bis(4‐nitrophenyl)phenyl phosphine oxide was synthesized and then converted to bis(4‐amino phenyl)phenyl phosphine oxide (BAPPO) by reducing its nitro groups into amines. The obtained products were characterized by IR, 1H‐NMR, and 31P‐NMR, and the thermal properties of the polymers were determined by DSC analysis. The BAPPO‐containing polyurethane showed physical properties that were almost similar to those of phosphorus‐free polyurethane and exhibited good flame resistance with a limiting oxygen index value of 27. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Amine-based absorption/stripping is one of the promising technology for CO2 capture from natural and industrial gas streams. During the process, amines and CO2 undergo irreversible reactions to produce undesired compounds, which cause corrosion, foaming, increased viscosity and breakdown of equipment, ultimately contributing to the economic loss and environmental pollution. In this study, the thermal degradation of aqueous diethanolamine in the presence and absence of dissolved CO2 was investigated. The experiments were performed in stainless steel cylinders. The results show that thermal degradation in the absence of CO2 was a slow process; triethanolamine, and tris(2-aminoethyl)amine were only the degradation products identified in the mixture In addition, the rate of degradation was very low, only 3% degradation was observed after 4 weeks. But in the presence of CO2, sixteen degradation products were identified, nine of which were new degradation products reported for the first time in this study. The 3-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-oxazolidinone, 1,4-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazine and triethanolamine were the most abundant degradation products. The remaining DEA concentration after 4 weeks was about 20% of the total amine concentration. The most probable degradation reactions and their mechanisms are also proposed.  相似文献

In recent years, wet (washing, bleaching, etc.) and dry (abrasive, laser shaping, rodeo, etc.) operations applied on fashion denim products have become an important factor to increase the added value. However, these wet and dry processes applied to the denim products may have adverse effects on the strength of the fabric and other supplementary materials of denim products. For example, thread breakages affect the repair ratios and quality of products, which causes time and profitability losses in companies. The main objective of this study is to analyse how the types of washing affect the strength of the sewing threads that are commonly used in the production of denim trousers. In this study, 100% cotton denim fabric with a weight of 11.5 ounces and two different sewing threads were used. The fabrics are sewn as trouser legs with chain and lock stitch. Five different washes were applied to the trouser legs. The obtained data were evaluated in the R statistical program. As a result of the analyses made it is proven that the washing techniques used have an effect on the sewing threads’ tensile strength and elongation at break. The tensile strengths of lock stitch and chain stitch decrease averagely 35% and elongation at break of lock stitch decreases %22 and chain stitch decreases 29.8%.  相似文献

The progress in obtaining first surface mirrors by using Si2O3 and SiO films as the front surface over aluminum films thermally evaporated over soda lime glass substrates is given in this study. The size of the mirrors is 30 × 30 cm with a 3-mm substrate thickness. A glow discharge produced during 20 min (3 kV and 250 mA) was sufficient to clean the substrate. An aluminum film was deposited after this cleaning. Two types of first surface mirrors were formed. One with SiO, and the other one with Si2O3 as the front surface, each one with a thickness of about 3000 Å. The reflectances were 0.82 and 0.86, respectively. After one year of exposure to the environment, no degradation was detected, but after two years, a slight amount of corrosion appeared. Some alternatives are being studied in order to minimize or eliminate this corrosion.  相似文献

Generally, wavelets are purposefully crafted to have specific properties that make them useful for signal processing. In recent years, wavelet analysis have commonly been used instead of Fourier analysis. This is a new approach for evaluation of water quality parameters. This study determined water quality parameters and effects on water quality in Gölcük, Turkey. A 13-month data series was compared with results from laboratory analysis by using wavelet model techniques. The study investigated eight surface water sources, located in rural areas (five different villages) in the vicinity of Gölcük. Water samples were obtained during spring and analyzed for contaminants. The samples were analyzed for Cl- (chlorine), NO3-N (nitrate) and pH values. Wavelet analysis of extreme events showed the role of seasonal oscillations, and small-, meso- and large-scale effects on some water quality parameters. In addition, the Cl-, NO3-N and pH contents were determined for their suitability for irrigation, drinking and other domestic uses.  相似文献

Time‐staggered combination chemotherapy strategies show immense potential in cell culture systems, but fail to successfully translate clinically due to different routes of administration and disparate formulation parameters that preclude a specific order of drug presentation. A novel platform consisting of drug‐containing PLGA polymer nanoparticles, stably fashioned with a shell composed of drug complexed with cationic cyclodextrin, capable of releasing drugs time‐ and sequence‐specifically within tumors is designed. Morphological examination of nanoparticles measuring 150 nm highlight stable and distinct compartmentalization of model drugs, rhodamine and bodipy, within the core and shell, respectively. Sequential release is observed in vitro, owing to cyclodextrin shell displacement and subsequent sustained release of core‐loaded drug, kinetics preserved in breast cancer cells following internalization. Importantly, time‐staggered release is corroborated in a murine breast cancer model following intravenous administration. Precise control of drug release order, site‐specifically, potentially opens novel avenues in polychemotherapy for synergy and chemosensitization strategies.  相似文献
