The basic stages and directions of upgrading and reconstruction of the power-generating units of nuclear power plants with RBMK reactors over a period of 20 yr since the Chernobyl accident are reflected in this paper. The greatest amount of work was done in 1986–1990 on all units with RBMK-1000 and-1500 reactors which were operating at that time in the USSR. The purpose of the upgrade was to improve the neutron-physical characteristics of the reactor cores, increase the response speed of the safety and control system and decrease the positive effect of water outflow from the cooling loop of this system, increase the flow capacity of the systems performing emergency discharge of the steam-gas mixture from the reactor, and improve the basic operating documentation. The subsequent stages of the upgrading and reconstruction concerned mainly the first-generation power-generating units (Nos. 1 and 2 units of the Leningrad and Kursk nuclear power plants). We consider a general method for constructing dual Gabor elements different from the canonical dual. Our approach is based on combining two Gabor frames such that the generated frame-type operator S/sub g,/spl gamma// is nonsingular. We provide necessary and sufficient conditions on the Gabor window functions g and /spl gamma/ such that S/sub g,/spl gamma// is nonsingular for rational oversampling, considering both the continuous-time and the discrete-time settings. In contrast to the frame operator, the operator S/sub g,/spl gamma// is, in general, not positive. Therefore, all results in Gabor analysis that are based on the positivity of the frame operator cannot be applied directly. The advantage of the proposed characterization is that the algebraic system for computing the Gabor dual elements preserves the high structure of usual Gabor frames, leading to computationally efficient algorithms. In particular, we consider examples in which both the condition number and the computational complexity in computing the proposed dual Gabor elements decrease in comparison to the canonical dual Gabor elements.  相似文献

Extensive research has been carried out for test planning of core-based system-on-a-chip devices. Most of the prior work assumes that all of the embedded cores are wrapped for test purpose. However, some designs may contain user-defined logic or cores that cannot be wrapped due to area constraints or timing violations. This paper discusses how these unwrapped logic blocks can be tested rapidly by adapting the TestRail architecture, which uses only the test control mechanism and the test instructions available through the IEEE 1500 standard for embedded core test. A new test scheduling algorithm, which facilitates a concurrent test of both unwrapped logic blocks and IEEE 1500-wrapped cores, is proposed, and experiments show that it outperforms a previous approach when the available number of tester channels and/or the number of unwrapped logic blocks are small.  相似文献

To avoid glass defects as a consequence of lining destruction in service and to preserve the operating conditions of a float tank equipment, it is necessary to use high-quality refractory materials which are developed taking into account their service specifics. Researchers at the Saratov Institute of Glass have identified maximum admissible fluctuation parameters for the gaseous atmosphere composition in the metal tank, which influences the destruction of refractory lining. New types of composites, namely, concretes on a refractory chamotte basis produced at the Semiluki Refractory Works, have been tested in the service conditions.  相似文献

Intraoperative neurological monitoring (INM) is the evaluation of the nervous system within the operating room (OR) environment. In this paper, the INM system is tested in a clinical setting in comparison with conventional somatosensory evoked potential (SEP) monitoring. The study results demonstrate the capability of the INM system in extracting clearer and more stable SEP signals. The high SNR of SEP signals collected in various clinical environments, including the OR, makes the INM system a robust platform for continuous monitoring. While the current use of EP monitoring is limited to intermittent analysis by a highly trained clinical neurophysiologist, the authors believe in changing this paradigm by developing continuous monitoring systems, such as the INM system, capable of automated quantitative EP analysis. This noninvasive monitoring modality will allow for a wider range of use in clinical practice. Based on volunteer and clinical patient studies, the INM monitoring system demonstrates much greater reliability and accuracy via the artifact rejection and denoising strategies. It provides more strategic filtering options for different situations under which the clinical SEP response signal could be greatly contaminated and distorted. Furthermore, the INM system offers a promising approach to signal extraction in real-time monitoring during SEP research.  相似文献

This paper deals with a variable rate discrete multitone modulation system for broadband power-line communications, based on the bit-loading algorithm proposed by Leke and Cioffi. In the proposed system a suitable least mean square channel estimator is considered, which is based on the insertion of a training sequence (TS). The proposed approach will be compared with the ideal channel estimates, showing its effectiveness. Moreover, different TS lengths will be compared. The system performance, expressed in terms of bit rate and bit-error rate, is derived by simulation with and without estimation errors. The propagation environment has been assumed as a frequency-selective multipath fading channel with additive colored Gaussian noise, according to the in-building networks model.  相似文献

An all-optical setup to generate vestigial sideband signals based on self-phase modulation in a semiconductor optical amplifier is experimentally demonstrated at 10 Gb/s. Sideband suppressions higher than 15 dB are reported with improved eye opening. Wavelength-independent operation over 26 nm is demonstrated. Increased chromatic dispersion tolerance is verified: a receiver sensitivity penalty of 5.3 dB, relative to back-to-back, is obtained after transmission over 2720 ps/nm; whereas conventional double sideband is penalized by 4.0 dB after 1360 ps/nm  相似文献

In this letter, we will evaluate the performance degradation of a 40 km high‐speed (40 Gb/s) optical system, induced by optical fiber variations of the chromatic dispersion induced by temperature changes.
