Functionally graded SiAlON ceramics (FG-SiAlONs) were successfully prepared by the tape casting and lamination approach. Non-aqueous SiAlON slurries with five different α to β-SiAlON ratios (85α:15β, 70α:30β, 55α:45β, 40α:60β, and 25α:75β) were prepared by a 66 methyl ethyl ketone/34 ethanol (vol%) mixture. Phase and microstructure analyses incorporation with hardness measurements clearly show that the FG-SiAlONs, prepared by tape casting, exhibit a continuous and gradual change in composition and hardness. Thus, the tape casting approach is a viable method to produce FG-SiAlONs with a precisely controlled composition, and subsequently properties, as a function of position.  相似文献

An on-chip high voltage tolerant 4VDD charge pump with symmetrical architecture in a standard low voltage 1.8 V 0.18 /spl mu/m CMOS process is presented. For a 250 k/spl Omega/ load, circuit efficiency of the charge pump is approximately 71%. All the MOS transistors satisfy typical voltage stress related reliability requirements for standard low voltage CMOS devices.  相似文献

The sinuous antennas have a numerous applications in military and civil systems such as direction finding systems and reflector feeds due to their superior broadband characteristics and simultaneous polarization capability. In this paper, design, construction and measurements of planar sinuous antennas are investigated for 1–5 GHz frequency range. Feeding sections of this antenna are realized by using microstrip tapered baluns. We have determined the microstrip tapered balun dimensions using Ansoft HFSS-simulation program. The performances of the manufactured antenna are measured using HP vector network analyzer. Polarization patterns and return loss characteristics of the designed antenna that have been measured in anechoic chamber, are presented.  相似文献

Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) gels with varying amounts of silicone and solvent and constant amounts of crosslinker were prepared by solution free radical crosslinking copolymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA), ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDM), tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and vinyltriethoxysilane (VTES) comonomer systems. They were then studied in benzene at a total monomer concentration of 3.5 mol L?1 and 70 °C. The conversion of monomer, volume swelling ratio, weight fraction and gel point were measured as a function of the reaction time, silicone concentration and benzene content up to the onset of macrogelation. Structural characteristics of the gels were examined by using equilibrium swelling in benzene, gel fraction and Fourier‐transform infrared (FTIR) analysis. The morphology of the copolymers was also investigated by SEM. Based on the obtained results, it was concluded that the FTIR data did not have the capacity to show the presence of the VTES or TEOS moiety in these kinds of copolymers. On the other hand, the variation of weight fraction of gel, Wg, and its equilibrium volume swelling ratio in benzene, qv, exhibited the same behaviour as that of MMA/EGDM copolymers. Also, the dilution of the monomer mixture resulted in an increase in the gel point and swelling degree and a decrease in the percent of conversion and gel fraction. Finally, TEOS is not an ideal silicone compound for reaction in the MMA/EGDM copolymerization system, whereas VTES is a suitable silicone comonomer for this system and it has been proved useful. Electrochemical treatment processes can significantly contribute to the protection of the environment through the minimization of waste and toxic materials in effluents. From a pharmaceutical point of view and due to the existing resemblance between the electrochemical and biological reactions, it can be assumed that the oxidation mechanisms on the electrode and in the body share similar principles. In this paper, the application of electrochemical studies in the design of an environmentally friendly method was delineated for the new hydrocaffeic acid (HCA, 3,4-dihydroxy hydrocinnamic acid) derivatives synthesis at carbon electrodes in an undivided cell. In this cell, the EC mechanism reaction was involved, comprising two steps alternatively; (1) electrochemical oxidation and (2) chemical reaction. In particular, the electro-organic reactions of HCA, an important biological molecule, were studied in a water–acetonitrile (90:10 v/v) mixture in the presence of benzenesulfinic acid (3) and p-toluenesulfinic acid (4). The research included the use of a variety of experimental techniques, such as cyclic voltammetry, controlled-potential electrolysis and product spectroscopic identification.  相似文献

Estimation of locations of sudden changes in a steplike signal has many signal processing applications; e.g., well-log signal segmentation, ionic-channel signal classification, edge detection, and segmentation of images. In this work, the Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB) on locations of steps in one-dimensional (1-D) steplike signals is calculated. The calculation is based on the use of a sigmoidal function to model a sudden-change (step) in the signal. A full analysis is shown in this paper for the cost of kWh generated from photovoltaic station located in Kuwait. By using a 21 years weather data for Kuwait, the yearly generated energy was found by proposing the PV station capacity with known panels tilt angle. The cost of kWh generated from PV station was compared with the kWh generated from conventional units in the country. A sensitivity analysis was done to some factors; capital cost per installed PV peak watt, discount rate, and operating peak hours, which affect the cost of kWh production from both PV and conventional units. If the PV station is proposed to be installed in Kuwait, the capital cost per PV installed peak watt must be less than today's prices.  相似文献

A theoretical framework is presented to study the consistency of robust estimators used in vision problems involving extraction of fine details. A strong correlation between asymptotic performance of a robust estimator and the asymptotic bias of its scale estimate is mathematically demonstrated where the structures are assumed to be linear corrupted by Gaussian noise. A new measure for the inconsistency of scale estimators is defined and formulated by deriving the functional forms of four recent high-breakdown robust estimators. For each estimator, the inconsistency measures are numerically evaluated for a range of mutual distances between structures and inlier ratios, and the minimum mutual distance between the structures, for which each estimator returns a non-bridging fit, is calculated.  相似文献

Steady laminar binary mixed convection flow along a vertical circular cone under the combined buoyancy effects of thermal and species diffusion is studied analytically. The analysis is confined to mass diffusion processes with low concentration levels. In the analysis the surface of the cone is assumed to be at a uniform temperature and uniform concentration. Numerical results for the local Sherwood number, local Nusselt number and local friction factor are presented. Representative temperature, concentration and velocity profiles are also shown. The analysis covers the diffusion of common gases and vapours into air. Considerations are given to the situations where the buoyancy forces assist and oppose the forced convection flow for various possible combinations of the thermal and species diffusion processes.  相似文献

This study deals with the neuro-fuzzy (NF) modelling of a real industrial winding process in which the acquired NF model can be exploited to improve control performance and achieve a robust fault-tolerant system. A new simulator model is proposed for a winding process using non-linear identification based on a recurrent local linear neuro-fuzzy (RLLNF) network trained by local linear model tree (LOLIMOT), which is an incremental tree-based learning algorithm. The proposed NF models are compared with other known intelligent identifiers, namely multilayer perceptron (MLP) and radial basis function (RBF). Comparison of our proposed non-linear models and associated models obtained through the least square error (LSE) technique (the optimal modelling method for linear systems) confirms that the winding process is a non-linear system. Experimental results show the effectiveness of our proposed NF modelling approach.  相似文献
