Reactive powder concrete (RPC) is an ultra high strength cement-based material. Cement and silica fume (SF) content of RPC are generally rather high compared to the conventional concrete. The aim of this study is to decrease the cement and SF content of RPC using with fly ash (FA) and/or ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS). The effect of these mineral admixtures on compressive strength of RPC has been investigated under autoclave curing. In the first stage, the effect of autoclave time and SF content on compressive strength was determined. In the second stage, SF was gradually decreased and cement was replaced with FA and/or GGBFS at different proportions. The microstructure was investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Test results indicate that, the utilization of FA and/or GGBFS in RPC is possible without significant mechanical performance loss. p-methoxyphenoxy and p-chlorophenoxy group containing methacrylate based monomer 2-(p-methoxyphenoxy)-2-oxo-ethyl methacrylate (pMPOEMA) and 2-(p-chlorophenoxy)-2-oxo-ethyl methacrylate (p-ClPOEMA) were synthesized by reacting p-methoxyphenyl chloroacetate (pMPClAcO) and p-chlorophenyl chloroacetate (pClPClAcO) with sodium methacrylate in acetonitrile respectively. (pMPClAcO) and (pClPClAcO) were prepared by reacting p-methoxyphenol and p-chlorophenol dissolved in benzene with chloroacetylchloride. The free-radical-initiated copolymerization of (pMPOEMA) and (pClPOEMA) with acrylonitrile (AN) were carried out in 1,4-dioxane solution at 65 ○C using 2,2′-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as an initiator with different monomer-to-monomer ratios in the feed. The monomers and copolymers were characterized by FTIR, 1H- and 13C-NMR spectral studies. The copolymer compositions were evaluated by nitrogen content in polymers. The reactivity ratios of the monomers were determined by the application of Fineman–Ross and Kelen–Tüdös methods. The analysis of reactivity ratios revealed that pMPOEMA and pClPOEMA are more reactive than AN, and copolymers formed are statistically in nature. The molecular weights (

Reviews clinical and anthropological studies, and indicates that social and cultural factors affect both the definition of, and the sensory systems involved in, hallucinations. It appears that the pejorative labeling of certain reported experiences as hallucinatory is dependent on linguistic factors as well as social and cultural beliefs (e.g., the consideration of hallucinations as an index of social maturity, social competence, and social conformity). It is noted that the degree of rationality in the culture is associated with attitudes, emotional response, and the attribution of pathology to hallucinatory experiences. The laminar steady flow of air through moving narrow deep circumferential grooves on a rotor is studied. Fluid enters the moving grooves from a stationary inlet nozzle with uniform velocity and exits into a stationary diffuser after approximately 150 degrees of rotation. Three dimensional developing velocity profiles and pressure distributions are presented for a variety of operating conditions. Computed overall head-flow characteristics are found to be in relatively close agreement with a simple Poiseuille model where both walls are taken to be moving at the same rate and in the same direction at a velocity different from the entrance velocity. 相似文献

AbstractThe tests results of 18 longitudinally reinforced reactive powder concrete (RPC) beams without stirrups and subjected to combined flexural and shear are presented in this paper. The main test variables were the ratio of the shear span-to-effective depth (a/d), the ratio of the longitudinal reinforcement (ρw), the percentage of steel fibers volume fractions (Vf) and the percentage of silica fume (SF) powder. The findings of this paper reveal that addition of steel fibers into the RPC mixture does not considerably affect the initial diagonal cracking load but it influences the ultimate load capacity. For all tested fibrous RPC beams, the ratio of the ultimate shear force to diagonal cracking force (Vu∕Vcr) have an average ratio of about 2.5. The shear design equations recommended by the (ACI 318-14) code, (CSA A23.3-04) code, (NZS 3101-06) code and (BS 8110-97) code have been modified to predict the ultimate shear strength of RPC beams without stirrups. The suggested equations gave satisfied predictions for the shear strength of the tested RPC beams with coefficients of variation (COV) ranging from 0.09049 to 0.1817. 相似文献

NaBaBO3 host material was synthesized using the combustion method. In order to optimize the performance of the material, effects of sintering temperatures varying from 600° to 1000?°C were investigated. The sintering temperature and dwell time were found to have pronounced effects on the pure NaBaBO3 material. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques were used to confirm the phase formation and examine the surface morphology of the prepared powder material, respectively. TL behavior of NaBaBO3 was studied at various beta doses. It is seen that the sample exhibits well resolved TL glow peak at a peak temperature about 175?°C and corresponding TL intensity increases with the increasing beta dose. However, TL glow peak slightly shifts to lower temperature with the increasing beta dose level. This is the first TL report of a phosphor with a NaBaBO3 host. The TL kinetic parameters were estimated by the peak shape (PS) method and CGCD software. TL glow curves of NaBaBO3 consist of several traps and exhibited second order kinetics. A possible TL mechanism was also discussed using the energy level model. The obtained results can provide valuable knowledge related to the investigation of the intrinsic nature characteristics of NaBaBO3 in research fields pertaining to dosimetry. 相似文献

In this study, the effect of the different concentrations of inulin and demineralised whey (d‐whey) powder on the chemical characteristics and organic acid profiles of probiotic yoghurts were investigated. Analysis of chemical composition was performed on the first day, while pH and organic acid profiles were carried out during storage. The results indicated that different proportions of inulin and d‐whey powder significantly influenced the levels of the organic acids, produced while the duration of storage affected the orotic, pyruvic, citric, lactic and acetic acid levels. There was a direct relationship between the level of d‐whey powder and organic acid (except for butyric acid) concentration in the probiotic yoghurt. 相似文献
