In this article, we present an electromagnetic study of electrically programmable graphene‐based metasurface with individual scattering control. Our investigation is based on the method of moments combined with the generalized equivalent circuit (MoM‐GEC) approach. We show that, tuning the unit cell's conductivity leads to change its input impedance and scattering matrix. So, each unit cell of the metasurface exhibits' a dynamic phase response that can be switched between 0° and ?180° by controlling high transmission and total reflection states. Based on this feature, a 1‐bit coding metasurface consisting of discrete codes of “0” and “1” is used to synthesis 3D beams. Hence, tailorable anomalous reflection and diffusion are studied under normal incidence at a fixed frequency of 3.9 THz. This survey opens new opportunities in the domain of Terahertz beam engineering and security scanner applications.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to estimate soil moisture from RADARSAT-2 Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images acquired over agricultural fields. The adopted approach is based on the combination of semi-empirical backscattering models, four RADARSAT-2 images and coincident ground measurements (soil moisture, soil surface roughness and vegetation characteristics) obtained near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada during the summer of 2008. The depolarization ratio (χv), the co-polarized correlation coefficient (ρvvhh) and the ratio of the absolute value of cross polarization to crop height (Λvh) derived from RADARSAT-2 data were analyzed with respect to changes in soil surface roughness, crop height, soil moisture and vegetation water content. This sensitivity analysis allowed us to develop empirical relationships for soil surface roughness, crop height and crop water content estimation regardless of crop type. The latter were then used to correct the semi-empirical Water-Cloud model for soil surface roughness and vegetation effects in order to retrieve soil moisture data. The soil moisture retrieved algorithm is evaluated over mature crop fields (wheat, pea, lentil, and canola) using ground measurements. Results show average relative errors of 19%, 10%, 25.5% and 32% respectively for the retrieval of crop height, soil surface roughness, crop water content and soil moisture.  相似文献

Mobility protocols allow hosts to change their location or network interface while maintaining ongoing sessions. While such protocols can facilitate vertical mobility in a cost-efficient and access agnostic manner, they are not sufficient to address all security issues when used in scenarios requiring local mobility management. In this paper, we propose a new scheme that makes Host Identity Protocol (HIP) able to serve as an efficient and secure mobility protocol for wireless heterogeneous networks while preserving all the advantages of the base HIP functions as well. Our proposal, called Heterogeneous Mobility HIP (HMHIP), is based on hierarchical topology of rendezvous Servers (RVSs), signaling delegation, and inter-RVS communication to enable secure and efficient network mobility support in the HIP layer. Formal security analysis using the AVISPA tool and performance evaluation of this method are provided; they confirm the safety and efficiency of the proposed solution. HMHIP reduces handover latency and packet overhead during handovers by achieving registration locally.  相似文献

In this letter, a memristor-based chirp pulse generator circuit is introduced for ultra-wideband transceivers for the first time. The proposed generator is built using memristor-controlled ring oscillator. Memristor is used to replace the bulky components in the chirp pulse generation such as surface acoustic wave filters and reactive components (capacitor and inductors), which reflects a huge reduction in area and power. The chirp pulse frequency of the proposed circuit varies linearly with time over the pulse duration due to the change in the memristance. The proposed circuit is mathematically analyzed and designed using 65-nm complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) technology. The 500-MHz bandwidth is demonstrated using a 32-ns pulse width complying with the FCC regulations. The power consumption is 84 μW with a 10-MHz pulse repetition frequency (PRF).  相似文献

In this paper,we present a maximum likelihood(ML) based time synchronization algorithm for Wireless Body Area Networks(WBAN).The proposed technique takes advantage of soft information retrieved from the soft demapper for the time delay estimation.This algorithm has a low complexity and is adapted to the frame structure specified by the IEEE 802.15.6standard[1]for the narrowband systems.Simulation results have shown good performance which approach the theoretical mean square error limit bound represented by the Cramer Rao Bound(CRB).  相似文献

Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) have acquired recently enormous attention and momentum; therefore, security aspects have been a fundamental concern for them. Among catastrophic threats on WMNs, Denial‐of‐Service attacks that have become a severe danger because of their plug‐and‐play structural design. Unfortunately, preventing a Denial‐of‐Service attack presents a challenging issue. This fact is induced with the appearance of the source IP addresses spoofing. The resolution key of this issue is to reveal the attack source based on the path through which the attack packet passes. For this, many researchers in IP traceability field propose various methods and techniques to deal with the issue. In this article, we conceive a novel approach named out of band IP traceback approach in WMN (IEEE 802.11s). We create a new architecture using signaling messages for discovering the real source(s) of IP packets. Our solution is based on a security‐oriented signaling protocol. This protocol allows specialized signaling entities to communicate via reliable signaling information. This fact permits us to perform a simple and efficient traceback. In our novel approach, we use 2 radios: the first one transmits normal data packets whereas the second is reserved to exchange IP traceback information. The performance of the proposed scheme is analyzed via simulation analysis using the Network Simulator 3. The simulation results show that our scheme is efficient in dealing with the traceback problem in WMN environments.  相似文献

The alternate direction method of multipliers (ADMM) algorithm has recently been proposed for LDPC decoding based on linear programming (LP) techniques. Even though it improves the error rate performance compared with usual message passing (MP) techniques, it shows a higher computation complexity. However, a significant step towards LP LDPC decoding scalability and optimization is made possible since the ADMM algorithm acts as an MP decoding one. In this paper, an overview of the ADMM approach and its error correction performances is provided. Then, its computation and memory complexities are evaluated. Finally, optimized software implementations of the decoder to take advantage of multi/many-core device features are described. Optimization choices are discussed and justified according to execution profiling figures and the algorithm’s parallelism levels. Experimentation results show that this LP based decoding technique can reach WiMAX and WRAN standards real time throughput requirements on mid-range devices.  相似文献

In this work, we propose an efficient image annotation approach based on visual content of regions. We assume that regions can be described using low-level features as well as high-level ones. Indeed, given a labeled dataset, we adopt a probabilistic semantic model to capture relationships between low-level features and semantic clusters of regions. Moreover, since most previous works on image annotation do not deal with the curse of dimensionality, we solve this problem by introducing a fuzzy version of the Vector Approximation Files (VA-Files). Indeed, the main contribution of this work resides in the association of the generative model with fuzzy VA-Files, which offer an accurate multi-dimensional indexing, to estimate relationships between low-level features and semantic concepts. In fact, the proposed approach reduces the computation complexity while optimizing the annotation quality. Preliminary experiments highlight that the suggested approach outperforms other state-of-the-art approaches.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: In Tunisia, prickly pear fruit grow spontaneously; it is consumed as fresh fruit, juice or jam. When the fruit is used for juice production, the seeds are discarded and go to waste. Our study aimed to extract biomolecules from seeds by producing value‐added products from the fruits. RESULTS: An amylase from Opuntia ficus‐indica seeds was extracted and purified to homogeneity. An increase in specific activity of 113‐fold was observed. The apparent molecular mass of the enzyme is 64 kDa. The optimum pH and temperature for enzyme activity were pH 5 and 60 °C, respectively. Under these conditions, the specific activity is 245.5 U mg?1. The enzyme was activated by Co2+ and Mg2+ (relative activity 117% and 113% respectively) at lower ion concentrations. It was strongly inhibited by Mn2+ and Fe2+. Cu2+ inhibited totally the activity of this enzyme, but Ca2+ has an inhibitory effect which increases with ion concentration. CONCLUSION: The extracted enzyme belongs to the exo type of amylases and is classified as a β‐cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase since it generates mainly β‐cyclodextrin from starch. It exhibits high thermal stability and a broad range of pH stability, making it a promising prospect for industrial and food applications. Copyright © 2012 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献
