Data-flow optimizations are usually implemented on low-level intermediate representations. This is not appropriate for source-to-source optimizations, which reconstruct a source level program after transformation. In this paper we show how constant propagation, a well known data-flow optimization problem, can be implemented on abstract syntax trees in Stratego, a rewriting system extended with programmable rewriting strategies for the control over the application of rules and dynamic rewrite rules for the propagation of information. 相似文献

The drying of paddy rice may result in quality degradation, expressed as a head kernel yield, leading to significant commercial depreciation of the product. A mathematical model of the drying and of the quality degradation process was combined with a dynamic optimization algorithm to determine the drying conditions (air temperature and relative humidity as functions of time) that ensured the highest possible final product quality for a specified drying time and a specified final moisture content. The robustness of the optimal drying strategy with respect to the initial state of the product, to the model parameters and to the initialization of the optimization algorithm was verified. The compromise between the highest achievable final quality and the allowed total drying time was studied. The combination of simulation and optimization yielded a new insight in the rice drying process and in the quality preservation strategies. 相似文献

When agitating mesenchymal stem cells adhered on microcarriers in bioreactors, a compromise has to be found between sufficient particle suspension and limitation of hydromechanical stresses. The present study proposes a strategy to improve the design of an ‘elephant ear' impeller at the just‐suspended state by varying its relative size, blade slope angle, and position in the reactor. To do that, computational fluid dynamics simulations were coupled with multi‐objective optimization to minimize the hydromechanical stress encountered by the microcarriers. Fibers of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) filled with multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were prepared by solution blow spinning (SBS). The influence of the MWCNTs on the surface morphology and mechanical behavior of single fibers was studied. The morphology of the materials prepared and the dispersion of the MWCNTs within the polymer were studied by optical microscopy (OM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), while atomic force microscopy (AFM) was used to inspect the topography of single fibers and to perform nanoindentation tests. OM and TEM images indicated a good dispersion of the MWCNTs within the PVDF. AFM images evidenced clear changes in the topography of the blow-spun fibers when the MWCNTs were present in the polymer. A greater amount of MWCNTs in the PVDF led to more heterogeneous fiber surfaces. The nanoindentation force curves revealed that the stiffness was practically constant along the fibers, which indicated that the mechanical response was homogeneous and, in turn, an even distribution of the MWCNTs. The incorporation of the MWCNTs produced a mechanical reinforcement of the PVDF fibers, showing increases of 31% and 49% in the elastic modulus when 1% and 5% by weight of MWCNTs were added to the polymer, respectively. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper addresses impulse‐radio ultra‐wideband (IR‐UWB) transmission under the Russian spectral emission mask for unlicensed UWB radio communications. Four pulse shapes are proposed and their bit error rate (BER) performance is both estimated analytically and evaluated experimentally. Well‐known shapes such as the Gaussian, root‐raised cosine, hyperbolic secant, and the frequency B‐spline wavelet are used to form linear combinations of component pulses, shaped to make efficient use of the spectral emission mask. Analytical BER values are derived using a Nakagami‐m model, and good agreement is found with the experimentally obtained BER. The proposed pulse shapes allow IR‐UWB transmission with BERs below the limit for a 7% overhead forward error correction, achieving distances of up to 6.5 m at 1 Gbit/s, 4.5 m at 1.25 Gbit/s, and 1 m at Gbit/s. These results confirm the viability of IR‐UWB transmission under the strict regulations of the Russian spectral emission mask. 相似文献

Fluorescence excitation spectroscopy at cryogenic temperatures carried out on hybrid assemblies composed of photosynthetic complexes deposited on a monolayer graphene revealed that the efficiency of energy transfer to graphene strongly depended on the excitation wavelength. The efficiency of this energy transfer was greatly enhanced in the blue-green spectral region. We observed clear resonance-like behavior for both a simple light-harvesting antenna containing only two chlorophyll molecules (PCP) and a large photochemically active reaction center associated with the light-harvesting antenna (PSI–LHCI), which pointed towards the general character of this effect. 相似文献

ABSTRACTThis work investigates the effect of Ta particle addition into a Ti6Al4V alloy processed by solid state sintering. The volume fraction of Ta ranged between 0 and 30?vol.-%. The sintering kinetics of powder mixes are evaluated by dilatometry. Sintered materials are characterised by SEM and XRD, and their mechanical properties are obtained from microhardness and compression tests. Sintering behaviour and final microstructure are affected by Ta particles, which slow down the densification, lower the temperature of α-to-β phase transition and stabilise the β phase. Mechanical properties, as microhardness, Young’s modulus and yield stress, depend on the microstructure reached after sintering and on the residual porosity. An equation expressing the Young’s modulus of Ti6Al4V/xTa alloy as function of x and porosity is proposed and validated. The materials with at least 20?vol.-% of Ta exhibited a high strength to modulus ratio, which is suitable for orthopaedic implants. 相似文献
