Simulating the Intensifying Effect of Phosphors on Imaging Plate with UV photons

It is assumed from the energy level that ultraviolet (UV) photons may have intensifying effect on BaFBr: Eu^2 .In this paper, effect of UV photons (220-290 nm) on the PSL intensity of X-ray irradiated BaFBr:Eu^2 was measured and compared to that on the PSL intensity of 220 nm photons irradiated BaFBr: Eu^2 . It was found that after the excitation of UV photons the PSL intensity of X-ray irradiated samples decreases least at 250 nm and that of 220 nm photons irradiated samples increases most at 250 nm. When the irradiation sources are X-rays and 220 nm photons the excited electrons are photoelectron and thermal-electrons, respectively, and they have different possibility of being captured by electron traps or combined with luminescent centers. And the peak at 250 nm can be explained with the model of electrons tunneling. It is assumed that the electrons excited by 250 nm have the most possibility of tunneling.     

Preparation and High-Temperature Water-Gas Shift Catalytic Features of La1-xCexFeO3 Perovskite

Based on water-gas shift reaction mechanism and perovskite compounds characteristics, La1-xCexFeO3(.K) perovskite were designed and prepared as shift catalysts. DTA and XRD results reveal that La1-xCexFeO3 can be formed at 730-760℃ by mechanic-mix thermal decomposition method. Activity and heat-resisting tests show that La1-xCexFeO3 (.K) possess high thermal stability if x is less than or equals to 0.5. But when x is greater than 0.5, La1-xCexFeO3 (.K) will be converted into ceria and magnetite partially or completely under shift reaction conditions. In the case of x=0.5, the conversion of CO is about 68% at 530℃. Potassium can greatly improve the low temperature activity, but slightly reduces the high temperature activity, and has little impact on the thermal stability. La0.5Ce0.5FeO3(.K) is a promising chromium-free high temperature shift catalyst.     

Preparation of Perovskite-Type Oxides La1-x Srx Fe1-y Coy O3 Using EDTA Sol-Gel Method

Two series of perovskite-type oxides with composition La1-xSrxFeO3 (x≤0.8)and La1-xSrxFe1-yCoyO3( x = 0.2；y = 0.2, 0.4 ) powder productions were synthesized by EDTA complexing sol-gel method. The products were characterized by XRD, TEM, SEM, BET method (N2 adsorption)and laser granularity analysis for different synthesis conditions to obtain the optimum conditions for the preparation process. Single-phased, uniform perovskite-type oxides with small particle size were obtained by EDTA sol-gel process with high stability and repeatability,and the process temperature is much lower than that of solid state reaction method.
