The paper presents a multi-fluid Eulerian model derived from binary kinetic theory of granular flows, free path theory and an empirical friction theory. The effects of the inter- and inner-particle collisions, particle translational motions and particle–particle friction are included. As the effects due to fluiddynamic particle velocity differences and particle–particle friction are considered, some unconventional terms are produced compared with the previous models. Model validation using the data from Mathiesen et al. (2000) shows that the coupling terms give a stronger and more realistic particle–particle coupling because the effects due to the fluiddynamic velocity differences are considered. The model gives reasonable predictions of the particle volume fraction, particle velocities and velocity fluctuations. The model analysis reveals that the basic particle velocity fluctuations constitute 2 terms: the velocity fluctuations of the discrete particles, and the velocity fluctuations of the continuous fluid flow. Furthermore, the simulation results show that the velocity fluctuations of the continuous fluid flow are dominant in a binary riser flow. 相似文献

It is shown that the aperture efficiency of a classical Cassegrain antenna can be considerably improved if the radiation pattern of the feed is optimally shaped. The corresponding optimum field distribution Over the aperture of the feed consists of a circular main lobe which is surrounded by concentric sidelobe rings. This optimum field distribution with one sidelobe ring included is realized by shaping of a dielectric lens which is positioned in the aperture of a corrugated horn antenna. The design can provide a theoretical aperture efficiency of 90.5 percent when subreflector diffraction and aperture shadowing are neglected, i.e., an improvement of 0.4 dB compared to an optimum conventional feed. Measurements of a model at 22.8 GHz gave a practical result of 85.6 percent. If the model is used to feed a 30 m radiotelescope the overall antenna efficiency becomes about 71 percent. 相似文献

Performances of SAS-super-180 air sampler and settle plates were investigated for the assessment of airborne fungal food contamination. Air samples were taken from processing rooms of a dry-cured production facility and outdoors. Fungal colonies and numbers of species were counted and compared. Quantitatively, the air sampler showed higher numbers of species and mean CFU/plate compared to settle plates. Qualitatively, the two methods showed similar dominating fungal genera and species associated with dry-cured meat products. The study showed settle plates could provide important qualitative information for food processing plants where airborne fungi associated with food products are the targets. 相似文献

Anodic bonding of glass to aluminium may provide a higher degree of freedom in device design. In this paper, a systematic variation of the bonding parameters for the aluminium–glass bond is presented. Hermetic seals with strengths of 18.0 MPa can be achieved using a 50–100-nm-thick bonding aluminium layer, and bonding at 300–400°C applying a voltage of 1,000–1,500 V for 20 min. With these parameters, bond yields above 95.1% were obtained on 17 wafers. The bonds survived extensive thermal ageing without significant degradation. The possibility of bonding glass to an aluminium layer with buried, electrically isolated conductors underneath is also demonstrated. 相似文献

Samples of fresh beef muscles (Longissimus dorsi) were packed under varying modified atmosphere conditions (20-80% oxygen) and stored at 2-8°C for 10 days. At 2 day intervals meat samples were analysed for surface colour and extent of lipid oxidation (TBARS). Response surface models for predicting the effects of temperature, storage time and modified atmosphere composition on colour stability and lipid oxidation were developed. Temperature and time were found to be the most important factors for retaining meat colour and minimizing lipid oxidation. However, the oxygen content also had a significant effect on both quality parameters. A stable interval of maintaining a good meat colour was found between 55 and 80% O(2). Response surface modelling was found to be very promising for modelling of chemical quality changes in meat stored under different conditions, but the large biological differences between animals may complicate the development of generally valid models. 相似文献

This paper presents a meta-analysis of studies that have evaluated the effects of an edgeline on speed and lateral position of motorised road users. Together with many other study characteristics, 41 estimates of the effects of an edgeline on speed and 65 on lateral position were extracted from the studies. The results of the evaluation studies show a great variety in effects. Both negative and positive effects on speed and lateral position were found; amongst others, increases in speed up to 10.6 km/h, as well as decreases in speed up to 5.0 km/h, and shifts of the lateral position towards the centre of the road up to 30 cm, as well as shifts towards the edge of the road up to 35 cm. Further analyses resulted in the determination of study characteristics that influence the effects of an edgeline on speed and lateral position. It is concluded that the effects of an edgeline on speed are related to the presence of a centreline. Applying an edgeline to a road without a centreline increases the speed of road users, and replacing a centreline by an edgeline decreases the speed. Results with respect to adding an edgeline to a road with a centreline were unclear. Another conclusion is that shoulder width and road environment contribute to the effects of an edgeline on lateral position. In combination with wide shoulders or buildings and/or trees next to the road, edgelines lead to shifts of the lateral position towards the edge of the road, and in combination with narrow shoulders or open fields, edgelines lead to shifts towards the centre of the road. 相似文献
