Stress–strain properties of star-shaped butadiene–styrene block copolymers were carried out on extruded sheet and injection molded samples. A striking “plastic-like” behavior was observed during the first extension, with a marked yield point, a drawing process, and an important hysteresis. These phenomena disappeared on the second elongation, but annealing below the polystyrene glass transition temperature gave again the initial behavior. A marked processing technique dependence was observed in the stress–strain experiments. An important variation in hardness was observed before and after stretching, and annealing experiments permitted the study of hardness recovery. A logarithmic relation between recovered hardness and the annealing time at constant temperature was deduced from the experimental data. Thermomechanical analysis curves show singular transitions between 20° and 85°C, which disappear on stretching. An important discrepancy occurs in TMA curves of extruded and injected samples. A comparison is made of thermomechanical behavior of linear and star-shaped SBS block copolymers. A modified model is proposed for a reversibly deformable structure composed of polybutadiene and polystyrene linked ends at the diffuse interfacial region between the PS domains and the PB matrix.  相似文献

The objective of this paper is to propose a new unsupervised incremental approach in order to follow the evolution of research themes for a given scientific discipline in terms of emergence or decline. Such behaviors are detectable by various methods of filtering. However, our choice is made on the exploitation of neural clustering methods in a multi-view context. This new approach makes it possible to take into account the incremental and chronological aspects of information by opening the way to the detection of convergences and divergences of research themes at a large scale.  相似文献

The authors examined the relationships between perceived organizational support, organizational commitment, commitment to customers, and service quality in a fast-food firm. The research design matched customer responses with individual employees' attitudes, making this study a true test of the service provider-customer encounter. On the basis of a sample of matched employee-customer data (N = 133), hierarchical linear modeling analyses revealed that perceived organizational support had both a unit-level and an employee-level effect on 1 dimension of service quality: helping behavior. Contrary to affective organizational commitment, affective commitment to customers enhanced service quality. The 2 subdimensions of continuance commitment to the organization--perceived high sacrifice and perceived lack of alternatives--exerted effects opposite in sign: The former fostered service quality, whereas the latter reduced it. In this paper, a stochastic estimation method of the number of eigenvalues of nonlinear eigenproblem (initially proposed by Maeda et al., JSIAM Letters 3, 61-64, (2011)) is employed iteratively in order to identify eigenvalues of acoustic cavities. Applied to several discretization formulations of the Helmholtz equation, the proposed approach handles complex acoustic cavities. Specific developments are carried out concerning the approximation of the stochastic estimator for the solved kernels. The method's accuracy is illustrated with academic nonlinear eigenproblems with various boundary conditions. In particular, a sphere problem with constant surface impedance is solved and validated by comparison with results issued from a finite element method software.  相似文献

As a consequence of organophosphorus (OP) toxins posing a threat to human life globally, organophosphorus hydrolase (OPH) has become the enzyme of choice to detoxify such compounds. Organophosphorus hydrolase was covalently immobilized onto a quartz substrate for utilization in paraoxon detection. The substrate was cleaned and modified prior to chemical attachment. Each modification step was monitored by imaging ellipsometry as the thickness increased with each modification step. The chemically attached OPH was labeled with a fluorescent dye (7-isothiocyanato-4-methylcoumarin) for the detection of paraoxon in aqueous solution, ranging from 10(-9) to 10(-5) M. UV-visible spectra were also acquired for the determination of the hydrolysis product of para-oxon, namely p-nitrophenol.  相似文献

Traditionally cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) is cultivated under legume shade trees, which produce N-rich litter that improves soil organic matter content, microbial activity, and recycles N to the crop. Arbuscular mycorrhiza forming fungi (AMF) are known to play an important role in plant nutrient uptake, yet their role in plant N uptake from organic residues in tropical agroforestry systems is not clear. We studied root and leaf litter of the legume shade tree Inga edulis Mart. as a source of N for cacao and the importance of AMF colonisation in the uptake of litter N under controlled conditions. Leaf and root litter of I. edulis enriched with 15N was added to cacao pots filled with field soil. Half of the cacao saplings were AMF-inoculated and the soil of non-inoculated saplings was treated with fungicide to suppress AMF. During the 10-week experiment, young cacao leaves were sampled for 15N analyses and at the end of the experiment whole plants were harvested. Microbial populations in the soil were determined using phospholipid fatty acid (PLFA) analysis, and AMF structures in the roots were quantified. Fungicide treatment decreased AMF structures in roots and increased bacterial populations, but did not affect the decomposition rate of either litter type. Inoculated and non-inoculated cacao saplings used 2.6 and 2.1%, respectively, of N added to the pots in leaf litter and 12.1 and 7.1% of N available in root litter indicating that root litter of I. edulis may be a more efficient N source than leaf litter for cacao. Although the fungicide treatment did not completely suppress AMF in non-inoculated pots, it created sufficient contrast in root AMF colonisation for concluding that AMF significantly enhanced cacao N use from both litter types. The role of root litter of shade trees as a N source in agroforestry should not be neglected.  相似文献

We study decidability and complexity questions related to a continuous analogue of the Skolem-Pisot problem concerning the zeros and nonnegativity of a linear recurrent sequence. In particular, we show that the continuous version of the nonnegativity problem is NP-hard in general and we show that the presence of a zero is decidable for several subcases, including instances of depth two or less, although the decidability in general is left open. The problems may also be stated as reachability problems related to real zeros of exponential polynomials or solutions to initial value problems of linear differential equations, which are interesting problems in their own right.  相似文献
