In the presented work, 5,5-diphenylimidazolidine-2,4-dione (phenytoin) (DFTD), 5,5-diphenylimidazolidine-2-thione-,4-one (thiophenytoin) (DFID) and 2-(4'-methoxy-benzylidenimine) thiophenole (MBIP) modified activated carbons have been used for the solid phase extraction of copper and lead ions prior to their flame atomic absorption spectrometric determinations. The influences of the various analytical parameters including pH, amounts of reagent, sample volume and eluent type, etc. on the recovery efficiencies of copper and lead ions were investigated. The influences of alkaline, earth alkaline and some transition metals on the adsorption of the analytes were also examined. The detection limits by three sigma for analyte ions were 0.65 and 0.42 microg L(-1) using activated carbon modified with DFID; 0.52 and 0.37 microg L(-1) using activated carbon modified with DFTD and 0.46 and 0.31 microg L(-1) using activated carbon modified with MBIP for Pb(II) and Cu(II), respectively. The procedure was applied to the determination of analytes in natural waters, soil, and blood samples with satisfactory results (recoveries greater than 95%, R.S.D.'s lower than 4%). 相似文献

There are many optimization problems in different branches of science that should be solved using an appropriate methodology. Population-based optimization algorithms are one of the most efficient approaches to solve this type of problems. In this paper, a new optimization algorithm called All Members-Based Optimizer (AMBO) is introduced to solve various optimization problems. The main idea in designing the proposed AMBO algorithm is to use more information from the population members of the algorithm instead of just a few specific members (such as best member and worst member) to update the population matrix. Therefore, in AMBO, any member of the population can play a role in updating the population matrix. The theory of AMBO is described and then mathematically modeled for implementation on optimization problems. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated on a set of twenty-three standard objective functions, which belong to three different categories: unimodal, high-dimensional multimodal, and fixed-dimensional multimodal functions. In order to analyze and compare the optimization results for the mentioned objective functions obtained by AMBO, eight other well-known algorithms have been also implemented. The optimization results demonstrate the ability of AMBO to solve various optimization problems. Also, comparison and analysis of the results show that AMBO is superior and more competitive than the other mentioned algorithms in providing suitable solution. 相似文献

Electrophoretic deposition (EPD) is a versatile technique that has drawn attention due to its ease of use and performance in depositing high-quality layers at room temperature. This technique principle is based on the deposition of charged particles from a stable colloidal suspension on a conductive substrate using either a direct or alternating current. Using relatively simple and low-cost equipment, the EPD technique enables the deposition of layers with controlled microstructures at nanoscale. The EPD technique has been particularly successful in the fabrication of the electrocatalyst layers for low-temperature fuel cells, which are anchored on the top of the fuel cell electrodes. In comparison with other electrocatalyst layer deposition techniques such as drop-casting, the EPD technique offers clear advantages for the control of the thickness and packing density of the electrocatalyst layers. Owing to the dense packing density, electrocatalyst layers deposited by EPD could achieve enhanced conductivity and efficiency. The present review aims at comprehensively evaluating the recently published results on the electrocatalyst layers fabricated by EPD and applied in oxygen reduction reactions, alcohol electro-oxidation reactions, hydrogen evolution reactions, and oxygen evolution reactions. 相似文献

Metal organic frameworks (MOFs) with marvelous properties have aroused enormous attention for different application especially gas adsorption and separation. In this regard, fabrication of MOF hybrids with carbon based materials is new strategy to upgrade MOF performance. In this study CuBTC (Copper benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid)/graphene oxide (GO) composite was synthesized and characterized by BET, SEM, TGA, XRD and FT-IR techniques. Then CuBTC and CuBTC/GO composite were incorporated into polysulfone (PSF) polymer to construct mixed matrix membranes (MMMs). The obtained membranes were characterized by SEM, TGA, XRD and tensile tests and their gas permeability was measured. The results were compared to those of CuBTC/PSF MMMs. It was revealed that CuBTC/GO composite as filler showed superior performance relative to CuBTC. For instance, 15 wt% loading of CuBTC/GO in PSF represented outstanding gas separation behavior while the same loading of CuBTC in PSF deteriorated performance of MMM. Well particle dispersion and favorable polymer-filler interaction were responsible for such observed difference. A high H2/CH4 and H2/N2 selectivity of 80.03 and 70.46 were recorded for CuBTC/GO in PSF (15 wt%) compared to 44.56 and 40.92 for CuBTC in PSF (15 wt%). 相似文献

This study investigates the effect of supplementation of tragacanth gum (GT, 0.05% w/v), low molecular weight gum tragacanth (LMWGT, 0.5% w/v) and inulin (0.5% w/v) on the viability of Bifidobacterium bifidum and the quality parameters of low‐fat yoghurt during a three‐week storage period. The count of probiotics was found to be 7.8 log cfu/g in inulin, and LMWGT enriched yoghurts at the end of the storage period. The minimum water holding capacity and the maximum syneresis values were also obtained in the low‐fat yoghurt enriched with GT throughout the storage time. The samples containing inulin and LMWGT revealed sensory attributes that were judged superior compared to those in GT. 相似文献

Titanium oxide thin films were deposited by DC reactive magnetron sputtering on ZnO (80 nm thickness)/soda-lime glass and SiO2 substrates at different gas pressures. The post annealing on the deposited films was performed at 400 °C in air atmosphere. The results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) showed that the films had anatase phase after annealing at 400 °C. The structure and morphology of deposited layers were evaluated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The surface grain size and roughness of TiO2 thin films after annealing were around 10-15 nm and 2-8 nm, respectively. The optical transmittance of the films was measured using ultraviolet-visible light (UV-vis) spectrophotometer and photocatalytic activities of the samples were evaluated by the degradation of Methylene Blue (MB) dye. Solid state polymerization (SSP) offers an effective route for synthesizing green polymers with variable molecular weights depending on polymerization condition. In this work, critical factors governing the molecular weight of polylactic acid (PLA) in the course of SSP are manipulated systematically and their contributions to the efficiency of SSP process are discussed. The initial molecular weight of the prepolymer formed, the degree of crystallinity of prepolymer, and the SSP time are changed and analyzed for their effects through different analyses including differential scanning calorimetry, gel permeation chromatography, and Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy techniques. It was observed that PLA having highest molecular weight would be the result of formation of a prepolymer having low‐molecular weight, as detected by the analysis of functional group concentration. For the optimized sample, the rate of mass loss in SSP was 12,263 g/mol.day and a crystallinity drop over the hydrolysis process was 3.14 per day. In this study electrochemical corrosion behavior of Zr41.2Ti13.8Ni10Cu12.5Be22.5 bulk metallic glass (BMG) in various aqueous solutions (3.5% NaCl, 1 N HNO3, H2SO4 and HCl) in order to compare with 316L stainless steel were thoroughly investigated. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to evaluate the influence of corrosion on the surface topography in immersion specimens to examine where the corrosion pits initiated. Corrosion rate of Zr41.2Ti13.8Ni10Cu12.5Be22.5 BMG in 3.5% NaCl solution was ∼0.6 mpy and its excellent corrosion resistance can be concluded. Polarization and SEM results also vouched a remarkable corrosion resistance of Zr41.2Ti13.8Ni10Cu12.5Be22.5 BMG in 3.5% NaCl aqueous solution in comparison with 316L stainless steel. 相似文献
