Silicon nanocrystals (SiNCs) have received much attention because of their exquisitely tunable photoluminescent response, biocompatibility, and the promise that they may supplant their CdSe quantum dot counterparts in many practical applications. One attractive strategy that promises to extend and even enhance the utility of SiNCs is their incorporation into NC/polymer hybrids. Unfortunately, methods employed to prepare hybrid materials of this type from traditional compound semiconductor (e.g., CdSe) quantum dots are not directly transferable to SiNCs because of stark differences in surface chemistry. Herein, the preparation of chemically resistant SiNC/polystyrene hybrids exhibiting exquisitely tunable photoluminescence is reported and material processability is demonstrated by preparing micro and nanoscale architectures. 相似文献

Saccharomyces cerevisiae is the yeast species predominating the alcoholic fermentation of grape must. The aim of this research was to evaluate the impact of indigenous S. cerevisiae strains biodiversity on the aroma of wines from Negroamaro grapes. Grapes collected in two different Negroamaro producing micro districts in Salento (Southern Italy), were subjected to natural fermentation and two indigenous S. cerevisiae populations were isolated. Fifteen strains for each of the two populations were selected and tested by micro fermentation assay in order to evaluate their specific contribute to the volatiles composition and sensory impact of the produced wines. The aromatic profile of wines obtained by each selected strain was characterized by different contents of acetates, ethyl esters of fatty acids, higher alcohols, thus showing to be related to the strains geographical origin. The sensorial analysis of wines produced by the six best performing strains confirmed that they are good candidates as industrial starter cultures, This study indicates that the use of a “microarea-specific” starter culture is a powerful tool to enhance the peculiarity of wines deriving from specific areas. 相似文献

Various experimental packaging containers were tested for their tendency to absorb fruit juice volatiles in the innermost heat-sealing layer. Analysis of head-space gas by GLC and sensory evaluations were carried out in order to evaluate the effect of each type of sealant. Coextrusion sealants (thin low-density polyethylene, LDPE), a sealant containing the orange essence powdered with cyclo-dextrin (CD), and polyethylene-terephthalate (PET) or polyacrylonitrile (PAN), synthetic resisns with high transition temperatures (Tg) were prepared. Coextrusion or CD-containing sealants as compared with LDPE, reduced the sorption of d-Limonene from Mandarin orange [Citrum unshiu Marc.] juice by 15–20% but did not show effective results in sensory evaluations. On the other hand PET or PAN sealants showed no sorption at all. Similar results were obtained with 'citrus mix' model essence. However, LDPE also did not show volatile sorption in the case of 'soft fruit mix' model essence. It is difficult to prevent sorption of the volatiles of citrus fruit juices if the sealants are of the coextrusion type or CD-containing LDPE type. Oocyte maturation is finally triggered by the maturation-promoting factor (MPF), which consists of Cdc2 and cyclin B. We have cloned cDNAs encoding frog (Rana japonica) cyclins B1 and B2 and produced antibodies against their products. Using the antibodies, we investigated changes in protein states and levels of Cdc2 and cyclins B1 and B2 during oocyte maturation. In immature oocytes, all Cdc2 was a monomeric unphosphorylated inactive 35 kDa form and neither cyclin B1 nor cyclin B2 was present. Mature oocytes contained the MPF complex consisting of an active 34 kDa Cdc2 phosphorylated on threonine161 and a 49 kDa cyclin B1 or a 51 kDa cyclin B2. After progesterone stimulation, both cyclins B1 and B2 were synthesized from their stored mRNAs and bound to the preexisting 35 kDa Cdc2. The binding of Cdc2 with cyclin B and its activation probably through the phosphorylation on threonine161 occurred at almost the same time, in accordance with an electrophoretic mobility shift of Cdc2 from 35 to 34 kDa. Microinjection into immature oocytes of cyclin B1 or B2 mRNA alone, or a mixture of them, induced germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD) with similar dose-dependence. When the translation of endogenous mRNAs of both cyclins B1 and B2 was inhibited with antisense RNAs, progesterone failed to induce GVBD in the oocytes, but the inhibition of only one of the two was unable to inhibit the progesterone-induced GVBD. These results indicate that either cyclin B1 or B2 is necessary and sufficient for inducing GVBD during Rana oocyte maturation. 相似文献

This paper considers two-input, two-output nonlinear adaptive model following control of a 3-DOF (degree-of-freedom) tandem rotor model helicopter. The control performance is studied by real time implementation of the control algorithms in an actual helicopter testbed. Since the decoupling matrix of the model helicopter is singular, the system is not decouplable by static state feedback, and it is challenging to design a feedback control system. Dynamic state feedback is applied. The controller is designed using a nonlinear structure algorithm. Antireflection coatings for 193 nm composed of low-index (MgF(2) and AlF(3)) and high-index (LaF(3) and GdF(3)) materials are deposited by the resistive heating boat method at a substrate temperature of 300 degrees C. The optical characteristics (reflectance and optical loss), microstructure (morphology and surface roughness), stress, and laser-induced damage threshold (LIDT) of the coatings are investigated and discussed. The related reflection at 193 nm of the four kinds of antireflection coatings is smaller than 0.2% and the optical loss is less than 0.15%. Of the fluoride antireflection coatings, AlF(3)/GdF(3) had the lowest stress value. Antireflection coatings with AlF(3) as the low-index material had higher LIDT values than when MgF(2) was used. 相似文献
