The scattering phenomenon from an arbitrary-shaped end of a asymmetrical slab waveguide for the cases of TE and TM guided modes is simulated by means of boundary integral equations that are called guided-mode extracted integral equations. The integral equations that we derive can be solved by the conventional boundary-element method. Numerical results are presented for problems of three-layer asymmetrical waveguides with tilted ends. The reflection coefficient, reflected and scattered powers, and radiation patterns are calculated numerically for the cases of incident TE and TM guided modes. 相似文献

An improvement of Fourier synthesis optics for hard x-ray imaging is described, and the basic performance of the new optics is confirmed through numerical simulations. The original concept of the Fourier synthesis imager utilizes nonposition-sensitive hard x-ray detectors coupled to individual bigrid modulation collimators. The improved concept employs a one-dimensional position-sensitive detector (such as a CdTe strip detector) instead of the second grid layer of each bigrid modulation collimator. This improves the imaging performance in several respects over the original design. One performance improvement is a two-fold increase in the average transmission, from 1/4 to 1/2. The second merit is that both the sine and cosine components can be derived from a single grid-detector module, and hence the number of imaging modules can be halved. Furthermore, it provides information along the depth direction simultaneously. This in turn enables a three-dimensional imaging hard x-ray microscope for medical diagnostics, incorporating radioactive tracers. A conceptual design of such a microscope is presented, designed to provide a field of view of 4 mm and a spatial resolution of 400 microm. 相似文献

A system was developed measuring x-ray powder diffraction in high magnetic fields up to 5 T and at temperatures from 283 to 473 K. The stability of the temperature is within 1 K over 6 h. In order to examine the ability of the system, the high-field x-ray diffraction measurements were carried out for Si and a Ni-based ferromagnetic shape-memory alloy. The results show that the x-ray powder diffraction measurements in high magnetic fields and at high temperatures are useful for materials research. 相似文献

Bis-(monoacylglyceryl) phosphate and acyl phosphatidylglycerol were isolated from the liver of two patients with lipidosis
induced by 4,4′-diethylaminoethoxyhexesterol. Identification was based upon the results of alkaline hydrolysis, acetolysis,
IR spectrometry, and upon the determination of molar ratio of phosphorus-glycerol-ester. The contents of the bis-(monoacylglyceryl)
phosphate were 10 and 16% total phospholipid phosphorus in them. The bis-(monoacylglyceryl) phosphate contained mainly docosahexaenoic
(42%), oleic (29%), and linoleic acid (14%) and had the hemolytic activity of ca. one-eighth lysolecithin from egg yolk. Acidic
lipids from the liver also were found to contain a lipid which is less polar than bis-(monoacylglyceryl) phosphate. The results
of lipid analysis showed that the lipid possessed the structure of an acyl phosphatidylglycerol, and its content was ca. 2%
total phospholipid phosphorus. Accumulation of 4,4′-diethylaminoethoxyhexesterol and its derivatives was found in clinical
cases by thin layer chromatography and IR spectrometry. This fact suggested that human liver has an ability to metabolize

This paper presents a robust current control method with a disturbance observer for a matrix converter (MC) under an abnormal input voltage. The MC can directly convert power from an input alternating current (AC) source to a load without any direct current (DC) link. Since the MC has no reactive elements, the imbalance and distortion of the input voltage immediately influence the load. Therefore, a high‐performance current control of the load is impossible in this condition. In this letter, we propose a robust current control method for the MC under an abnormal input voltage. Adapting the disturbance observer to a load current control, current control is possible without the influence of the imbalance and distortion of the input voltage and of a fluctuation of a load paramerter, a resistance, an inductance and so on. This current control is robust under these conditions. The proposed method is effective for the application of a high‐performance AC motor drive employing vector control because it is necessary for the proposed method to coordinate with a reference frame.
