In this study, a modified procedure is introduced which consists of multistep process for improving the structure of mesoporous TiO2 films. The films were prepared by electrophoretic deposition (EPD) on FTO (F-SnO2 coated glass). It is shown that high quality TiO2 film can be produced by multistep EPD method. The effect of EPD time on the thickness and density of the films have been investigated. The performance of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) that were fabricated by improved layer are tested under AM 1.5 simulated sunlight. Finally, the structure and effective parameters of DSSCs that were fabricated by one step and multistep EPD are investigated precisely, using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.  相似文献

The target of rapamycin (TOR) protein kinase is an atypical Ser/Thr protein kinase and evolutionally conserved among yeasts, plants, and mammals. TOR has been established as a central hub for integrating nutrient, energy, hormone, and environmental signals in all the eukaryotes. Despite the conserved functions across eukaryotes, recent research has shed light on the multifaceted roles of TOR signaling in plant-specific functional and mechanistic features. One of the most specific features is the involvement of TOR in plant photosynthesis. The recent development of tools for the functional analysis of plant TOR has helped to uncover the involvement of TOR signaling in several steps preceding photoautotrophy and maintenance of photosynthesis. Here, we present recent novel findings relating to TOR signaling and its roles in regulating plant photosynthesis, including carbon nutrient sense, light absorptions, and leaf and chloroplast development. We also provide some gaps in our understanding of TOR function in photosynthesis that need to be addressed in the future.  相似文献

A computational study of the thermal and dynamical behavior of fluid in an enclosure with two isothermal semi-circular heaters is presented. The top wall and the flat surfaces on bottom wall are adiabatic while the vertical walls are kept at lower temperature than the semi-circular heaters. The radius of curvature of the semi-circular surfaces is chosen as one tenth of the cavity wall length. The governing equations are solved by the Galerkin weighted residual finite element method. The effect of magnetic field on the flow is another important parameter in this study. Numerical simulations were performed for several values of Rayleigh number (103 ? Ra ? 106), Hartmann number (0 ? Ha ? 50) and the distance between two semi-circular heaters (0.2 ? D ? 0.8). In all cases the Prandtl number is taken as 7. It is found that the distance between the semi-circular heaters is the most important parameter affecting the heat and fluid flow fields. In addition, Hartmann number was found to have an adverse affect on heat transfer.  相似文献

A new CMOS realization of the differential current voltage conveyor (DCVC) is introduced. The properties of the DCVC are shown to be suitable for very large-scale integration applications employing metal oxide semiconductor transistors operating in an ohmic region. A novel voltage-mode integrator is introduced. Detailed analysis of the parasitic capacitances is included. Voltage-mode continuous-time filters that benefit from the current processing capabilities at the input terminals of the DCVC are presented. Self-compensation of the proposed circuits is also presented. The effectiveness of the proposed circuits is demonstrated through HSPICE simulations based on the AMI 1.2m N-well level 3 parameters.  相似文献

This paper starts by presenting a conceptualization of indicators, criteria and accidents' causes that can be used to describe traffic safety. The paper provides an assessment of traffic safety conditions for rural roads in Egypt. This is done through a three-step procedure. First, deaths per million vehicle kilometers are obtained and compared for Egypt, three other Arab countries and six of the G-7 countries. Egypt stands as having a significantly high rate of deaths per 100 million vehicle kilometers. This is followed by compiling available traffic and accident data for five main rural roads in Egypt over a 10-year period (1990-1999). These are used to compute and compare 13 traffic safety indicators for these roads. The third step for assessing traffic safety for rural roads in Egypt is concerned with presenting a detailed analysis of accident causes. The paper moves on to develop a number of statistical models that can be used in the prediction of the expected number of accidents, injuries, fatalities and casualties on the rural roads in Egypt. Time series data of traffic and accidents, over a 10 years period for the considered roads, is utilized in the calibration of these predictive models. Several functional forms are explored and tested in the calibration process. Before proceeding to the development of these models three ANOVA statistical tests are conducted to establish whether there are any significant differences in the data used for models' calibration as a result of differences among the considered five roads.  相似文献

The results from a parametric study on the impact factors for 180 curved continuous composite multiple-box girder bridges are presented. Expressions for the impact factors for tangential flexural stresses, deflection, shear forces and reactions are deduced for AASHTO truck loading. The finite-element method was utilized to model the bridges as three-dimensional structures. The vehicle axle used in the analysis was simulated as a pair of concentrated forces moving along the concrete deck in a circumferential path with a constant speed. The effects of bridge configurations, loading positions, and vehicle speed on the impact factors were examined. Bridge configurations included span length, span-to-radius of curvature ratio, number of lanes, and number of boxes. The effect of the mass of the vehicle on the dynamic response of the bridges is also investigated. The data generated from the parametric study and the deduced expressions for the impact factors would enable bridge engineers to design curved continuous composite multiple-box girder bridges more reliably and economically.  相似文献

This paper reports on a new bridge deck slab flange-to-flange connection system for precast deck bulb tee (DBT) girders. In prefabricated bridge system made of DBT girders, the concrete deck slab is cast with the prestressed girder in a controlled environment at the fabrication facility and then shipped to the bridge site. This system requires that the individual prefabricated girders be connected through their flanges to make it continuous for live load distribution. The objectives of this study are to develop an intermittent bolted connection for DBT bridge girders and to provide experimental data on the ultimate strength of the connection system. This includes identifying the crack formation and propagation, failure mode, and ultimate load carrying capacity. In this study, three different types of intermittent bolted connection were developed. Four actual-size bridge panels were fabricated and then tested to collapse. The effects of the size and the level of the fixity of the connecting steel plates, as well as the location of the wheel load were examined. The developed joint was considered successful if the experimental wheel load satisfied the requirements specified in North American bridge codes. It was concluded that location of the wheel load at the deck slab joint affected the ultimate load carrying capacity of the connections developed. Failure of the joint was observed to be due to either excessive deformation and yielding of the connecting steel plates or debonding of the embedded studs in concrete.  相似文献

Several factors contribute to the complexity of project schedules, including the number of activities, the level of detail, and the shape of the project network. This paper presents a measure that assesses the complexity of project schedules in terms of the connectivity of the activities. Unlike similar complexity measures, the proposed complexity measure does not consider redundant relationships in the project’s schedule. In addition, the measure is expressed as a percentage and therefore has the advantage of being intuitively understand by project managers. The measure considers the degree of interrelationships between the activities in the project’s schedule. The measure has been implemented in a computerized tool to help managers assess the complexity of their projects. The tool is developed as an add-in to popular commercial scheduling software like MS Project.  相似文献

Estimating Evaporation from Bare Soil Using Soil Moisture Data   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A method is presented that uses continuous soil moisture measurements and hourly reference evapotranspiration data to estimate a soil hydraulic factor (β) for modeling soil evaporation. The β factor is used to assess the end of the energy limited soil evaporation phase (Stage 1) and the evaporation rate during the soil hydraulic limited phase (Stage 2) of a two-stage soil evaporation model. A previously developed and tested method to determine β uses an energy balance approach with sensible heat flux density estimated using the surface renewal method to obtain the continuous soil evaporation. A new method is presented, which uses a hydroprobe soil moisture measuring device to estimate the continuous soil evaporation. The estimation of evaporation with soil moisture sensors was simpler and less expensive when compared to the energy balance technique. The methods, evaluated in two field experiments, showed good agreement with evaporation data. Using the evaporation model and β derived from either method provided a good estimate of measured soil evaporation. Modeled daily soil evaporation, using either energy balance or soil measurements to obtain β, gave a root-mean-square error of 0.6 mm?day?1 when compared with soil evaporation measured using the energy balance method. When daily soil evaporation from soil moisture measurements was compared with soil evaporation estimated from energy balance measurements, the root-mean-square error was 1.3 mm?day?1. Direct soil monitoring method had bigger error, but the method is less costly.  相似文献

This paper presents a multiobjective optimization model for the planning and scheduling of repetitive construction projects. The model enables construction planners to generate and evaluate optimal construction plans that minimize project duration and maximize crew work continuity, simultaneously. The computations in the present model are organized in three major modules: scheduling, optimization, and ranking modules. First, the scheduling module uses a resource-driven scheduling algorithm to develop practical schedules for repetitive construction projects. Second, the optimization module utilizes multiobjective genetic algorithms to search for and identify feasible construction plans that establish optimal tradeoffs between project duration and crew work continuity. Third, the ranking module uses multiattribute utility theory to rank the generated plans in order to facilitate the selection and execution of the best overall plan for the project being considered. An application example is analyzed to illustrate the use of the model demonstrate its new capabilities in optimizing the planning and scheduling of repetitive construction projects.  相似文献
