ABSTRACT: High aspect ratio Ni nanowires (NWs) and nanotubes (NTs) were electrodeposited inside ordered arrays of self-assembled pores (approximately 50 nm in diameter and approximately 50 um in length) in anodic alumina templates by a potentiostatic method. The current transients monitored during each process allowed us to distinguish between NW and NT formation. The depositions were long enough for the deposited metal to reach the top of the template and form a continuous Ni film. The overfilling process was found to occur in two steps when depositing NWs and in a single step in the case of NTs. A comparative study of the morphological, structural, and magnetic properties of the Ni NWs and NTs was performed using scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and vibrating sample magnetometry, respectively.  相似文献

One hundred seventy-nine Holstein male calves [44.7 kg of body weight (BW) and 8.3 d of age] participated in a series of 3 experiments to evaluate the effect of different forage sources on performance, apparent digestibility, and feeding behavior. Animals in each study were randomly assigned to 1 of 3 different dietary treatments: control (CON) calves were fed starter feed without any forage provision (this treatment was repeated in each of the 3 experiments), and the 2 other treatments consisted of the same starter feed plus a forage source: chopped alfalfa (AH) or rye-grass hay (RH) in the first study; chopped oat hay (OH) or chopped barley straw (BS) in the second study; corn silage (CS) or triticale silage (TS) in the third study. All calves were offered 2L of milk replacer (MR) at 12.5% dry matter (DM) twice daily via a bottle until 50 d of age, and 2L of MR at 12.5% DM during the week before weaning (57 d of age). The study finished when calves were 71 d old. Starter feed, MR, and forage intakes were recorded daily and BW weekly. Calves were individually housed and bedded with wood shavings. Compared with CON, animals receiving OH, TS, and BS consumed more starter feed (0.88 vs. 1.14, 1.17, 1.06 kg/d, respectively) and had greater average daily gain (0.72 vs. 0.93, 0.88, 0.88 kg/d, respectively). Animals in treatments RH, BS, CS, and TS consumed less forage (51 g/d) than AH (120 g/d) and OH (101 g/d) calves. Apparent organic matter, DM, and neutral detergent fiber digestibilities did not differ among treatments (81.5, 81.1, and 54.4%, respectively). Apparent crude protein digestibility was greater in RH, CS, and AH treatments than in CON (80.5 vs. 76.4%, respectively). Compared with CON calves, animals in the AH treatment spent less time eating starter feed and lying, animals in AH and RH treatments spent more time ruminating, with odds ratios (OR) of 5.24 and 5.40, respectively. The AH and RH calves devoted less time to performing nonnutritive oral behaviors (OR: 0.38 and 0.34, respectively), and TS calves tended to devote less time to perform nonnutritive oral behaviors (OR: 0.21) 1h after being offered MR and solid feed. In conclusion, free-choice provision of a forage source to young calves improves feed intake and performance without impairing digestibilities of DM, organic matter, crude protein, and neutral detergent fiber, and, depending on forage source, reduces nonnutritive oral behaviors and stimulates rumination.  相似文献

A method was validated for the determination of total Hg in fish muscle using continuous flow cold vapour atomic absorption (CVAAS) after microwave digestion in closed vessels. The method was validated according to European Union Regulations 333/2007 and 657/2002, considering the maximum level for the metal in fish, established by European Union regulation 1881/2006. The procedure for determining linear range, selectivity, recovery, precision, trueness, decision limit (CCα), detection capability (CCβ), measurement uncertainty and robustness of the method is reported. The results of the validation process demonstrate the method fulfils the provisions of the Commission Regulation. The selectivity study indicated that there was no matrix effect on the calibration curve between the concentration range of 1.0 and 30.0 μg Hg l(-1). The mean recovery calculated at six levels of fortification was in the range of 94-104%. The limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) values were 4.90 and 15.7 μg kg(-1), while the CCα and CCβ values were 0.517 and 0.533 mg kg(-1), respectively, for the maximum contaminant level of 0.500 mg kg(-1). The relative expanded measurement uncertainty of the method was 0.055 mg kg(-1). The method was not affected by slight variations of some critical factors (ruggedness minor changes) as sample mass and volume of the HNO(3) and H(2)O(2) used in the digestion step. The method allowed accurate confirmation analyses of the CRM DORM 3. In fact, the Z-scores attained in a proficiency test round were well below the reference value of 2.0, proving the excellent performance of the laboratory.  相似文献

The complexity of modern hardware design has created the need for higher levels of abstraction, where system modeling is used to integrate modules into complex System-on-Chip (SoCs) platforms. SystemC, and its TLM (Transaction Level Modeling) extensions, have been used for this purpose mainly because of their fast prototyping and simulation features, which allow for early design space exploration. This paper proposes an approach to explore and interact with SystemC models by means of an introspection technique known as Computational Reflection. We use reflection to implement a white-box introspection mechanism called ReflexBox. We show that ReflexBox is a fast, non-intrusive technique that can be used to dynamically gather and inject stimuli into any SystemC module, without the need to use a proprietary SystemC implementation, change the SystemC library, instrument or even inspect the module source code. Our approach can be used to support many different verification tasks like platform debugging, performance evaluation and communication analysis. To show ReflexBox effectiveness we used it in three platforms case studies to address tasks like register inspection, performance analysis and signal replaying for testbench reuse. In all cases we assumed no source code availability and measured the impact on the overall platform performance.  相似文献

Optical properties of poly(n-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) thin films are revisited. Steady-state emission spectra put in evidence a strong red band whose intensity increases with decreasing temperature when the solid state PVK film is excited by a continuous 375 nm laser line. This red band is assigned to the emission from PVK aggregate states which act as trap states for the monomeric PVK triplet high energy (blue) excitons. At the same low temperatures, these trap states can be avoided when the excitation of the PVK film is made by a 355 nm pulsed laser line with 10 Hz repetition rate. The red band was also observed to compete with the emission of guest poly(3-octadecylthiophene) (PODT) molecules in a PVK/PODT sequential bilayer structure. Different optical geometries enabled us to show that the exciton energy transfer effect from PVK donor to PODT acceptor states dominates the scenario in the bilayer structure, suppressing almost completely the trap state emissions.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: There is a considerable loss of volatile compounds during the thermal concentration of cashew apple juice, damaging product quality, and as yet there is little research on the subject. Thus the purpose of this research was to identify the aroma volatiles evaporated off from cashew apple juice and recovered in the water phase during concentration of this beverage in an industrial plant. Water phase volatiles were extracted using dichloromethane, concentrated under a nitrogen flow, separated by gas chromatography (GC) and identified by GC‐mass spectrometry. In order to determine the contribution of each volatile to the cashew aroma, five trained judges evaluated the GC effluents using the Osme GC‐olfactometry technique. RESULTS: 71 volatiles were identified; of these, 47 were odour active. Alcohols were preferentially recovered in the cashew water phase, notably heptanol, trans ‐3‐hexen‐1‐ol and 3‐methyl‐1‐butanol, representing 42% of the total chromatogram area and imparting green grass and fruity aroma notes to the water phase. Esters represented 21% of the total chromatogram area, especially ethyl 2‐hydroxyhexanoate, ethyl trans ‐2‐butenoate and ethyl 2‐methylbutanoate, and were responsible for the fruity/cashew‐like aroma of the water phase. On the other hand, 3‐methylbutanoic and 2‐methylbutanoic acids were the volatiles that presented the greatest odour impact in the GC effluents of the water phase. CONCLUSION: Overall, the results of the present study strongly indicated that further concentration of the esters recovered in the water phase, either by partial distillation or by alternative technologies such as pervaporation, could generate a higher‐quality natural cashew apple essence. The kinetic analysis of active sucrose-H+ uptake by Saccharomyces cerevisiae revealed the presence of two transport systems with high and low affinity for sucrose. The MAL2T permease has a low affinity (K(m) = 120 +/-20 mM) for sucrose, while the alpha-glucoside transporter encoded by the AGT1 gene is a high affinity sucrose-H+ symporter (K(m) = 7.9+/-0.8 mM) that increases the specific growth rate of cells growing on sucrose.  相似文献
